  • With lockdown 2 out of the way, and with a rare nice day of weather for this time of year in Manchester, it would have been a shame not to get some practice.
After more than a month of being grounded, my flying has started to get sloppy again - particularly vertical hesitation rolls (many not on the video were over rolled), and my flick/snap rolls need work again.
I have the GoPro pointed at myself as I'm working on my vertical rolls and stops (sorry, I know I'm not a pretty picture to look at!) This view has been very useful for highlighting that I'm coming in with rudder too soon in the snaps.

Hi Steven! Me and my brother are huge av-geeks and keep tabs on G-TWOO and North West Aerobatics as you guys spend a lot of time on our back doorstep! We appreciate the free air shows during the spring/summer months, it's a real treat to come home from work and see you guys doing your thing. ❤️
All being well, I'm hoping to jump in the front seat for an Air Show Hero experience with North West Aero; a dream of mine.
Always impressive seeing what you guys in G-TWOO get up to, safe flying mate!

What altitude were you at looks like no more than 3000ft is it safe to do spins like these

I was flying between 1000-3000 in this video. With the appropriate training and practice, it's very safe and controllable. These are the heights typically flown at competitions, which I was training for.

@@StevenBakhtiari Great! Like you I own N87KC an Extra 200 SN6. Just for the pure fun of flying and improve my stick & rudder skills. Looking for ways to add smoke to it no luck! Tried strapping some smoke grenade for sky diver but the smoke was so small was barely visible.

It’s easy Cambridge Aerobatics club can arrange this, as can Ultimate Aerobatics ( They use a 330LX I think)
