This interviewer did such a fantastic job! Wish this interview was longer!
She did her homework, i respect it
miserable individual lol hating for no goddamn reason
@@jesser6229it doesnt gotta be deep to be a good interview
word, The Bobbi Althof effect, just needs to show the audience a side of the interviewees personality they hadn't seen before. I deleted my earlier comments because I changed my opinion. I agree. @@dinkydoodle8325
Why is this short ass video one of the best Earl interviews I've seen? Great interviewer
na for real i was thinking the same thing
dead ass she was a natural, great questions
I feel him on appreciating albums through repetition. Pretty much exactly how I got into Some Rap Songs. It was a super jarring and unexpected album on the first listen but after a few plays it made way more sense
Yeah but that's coz the album already had something that made you keep coming back even if it you weren't that cognisant of it at the time. If it gets to a point where you going out your way to listen to it all, then that could be a failure on the artist's side.
I need like an hour of this interviewer and earl
Abby Butler
They have a name bru
The interviewer did an amazing job at keeping the conversation moving, especially transitioning into different topics, keeping the smile on both faces was an amazing thing to see
Earl has been outworking a lot of these artist's. He in a good mental state rn. Love to see it. He's popping out like crazy as of lately. I love it.
ikrr
Definitely has been more consistent since SRS
One of the smallest, yet most impactful blessings in my life was that my first car was an '06 Corolla that didn't have AUX capabilities and I didn't have the money to get a new radio. I was stuck with a 6 disc changer. It helped me appreciate listening to an album all the way through, and now that's just HOW i listen to music. I have playlists for when I am studying/working and need stuff on in the background or when I need some music for a party but when i actively listen to music I am mostly listening to albums.
got to see him last night, he was so good. making ppl laugh and played so many unreleased tracks for us
That’s fire I’m seeing him next month, can’t wait
@@06pinheadmonday night gon be crazy in seattle
@@PeculiarPopCultureMonday’s seattle show was sooo good!
That was such a good question when she asked Earl about how he puts references in his music and how people can seek out these almost recommendations. He does that a lot, and it's one of the many reasons why his music is so interesting and timeless. Love it , great job Abby
Crazy to me that earl listens to nolan, 454, and surf gang. Some of my fav artists rn.
on god, it’s wild surf gang is working with literally everyone I love
he shouted out 454s recent project too. he gave kodak a cosign before drake he’s extremely tapped
earl been eatin good, can tell his mental is in a much better place these past few years. Great to see. Seeing an artist grow as a person and seeing that reflected in the music is such a delight
Surely we get an Earl
Sweatshirt ‘Like A Version’ doing an MF DOOM cover
Polo perks and Nolanberollin making the cut is crazzy to me😂. The duality of man
Feet of clay is so overlooked but it’s a 15 min masterpiece
AMAZING INTERVIEW! please please please bless us with more!
his take on playlists fascinates me because of the Stay Inside radio show. I wish they'd asked him about that, I go back and listen to those shows regularly
Fr im so sad that nothing like that exists anymore
Fr that Solange ep was legendary asf. Wish him and Knxwledge made more music tho at least
@@TheCorney there's literally thousands of shows on youtube like "Stay Inside". You just aren't looking for them. It's literally just people playing music they like for 90 minutes. stop being a weirdo
@@SilverKen15earl and knxwledge had elite taste tho pause
the thing about acquiring taste through listening to full albums is so true
Great interview! Thanks!
love those polo perks, 454, and surf gang shout outs
The way he described albums is amazing. I play albums front to back and people think im weird for it
Earl forever!
She's easily one of the best interviewers I've seen in a while. Great questions, great flow, clearly did research, not too pushy or lingering too long on any particular subject. Just great stuff.
Fantastic interview
He speaks beautifully, great questions as well.
people who dont listen to full albums ever cant be trusted
Great interviewing skills she’s clearly being herself and puts the musicians first well done it’s rare to see these days ❤
Is there more to this interview? Way too great of a convo to be less than 6 min!
damn, this shit needs be 2 hours
Earl is so well spoken
Bro using words I’ve never heard
U never heard endevour?
Love earl good to see him in the mix
Earl showing love to nolan and polo is fire
Low key the amazing Red Bull radio show he did with Knxledge called “Stay Inside” was kind of a playlist for me as a fan. Through their show mixes I got introduced to Mach, Roc, Ka, and all the super different artists the two of them were into.
earl knows music‼️ nolanberollin goated
Interviewer is mad prepped! This is dope
Ugh, love me some Earl
Earl always the best!
the John C Reilly movie mentioned is called Walk Hard and it is an EXCELLENT parody of the musical biopic cinematic universe that was so prevalent in the 2000's... Ray, Walk the Line, etc
it singlehandedly destroyed the formulaic musical biopic genre much like how Austin Powers destroyed the sexy James Bond spy genre
Earl bumping surf gang is full circle
Great interviewer!
I love Earl
I love how earl gave nolanberollin the props he deserves.
Omg Earl Sweatershirt!
I remember when I bought my first Earl Sweatshirt SWEATSHIRT🔥
I love how present Earl has been in the rap scene lately
100% agree with his thoughts on playlists. Nothing wrong with making them, but I think something is lost if that's your primary way of exploring an artist. Sometimes you grow to like certain songs because of the album context.
No way this nigga really be listening to nolanberollin that’s lit
walk hard: dewey cox story is one of the best films ever made
4:18 thats exactly how i felt with some rap songs
lovely
amazing interviewer
love earls output
I love him
Earl doing an interview with whoever this is-is probably the last thing I expected but I enjoyed it lol
Finally someone said it I’m so glad , shoeies aren’t for everyone , throwing a shoe at someone is wild , people doin it at jid and it ruined the mood for a while
We need the full interview cause these chopped up 10 minute clips aren't enough
3:33 the little smyle
Top tier stuff
Earl's is the realeast dude mofo out there, and Abby you are an incredible interviewer, I loved your questions.
this man is a genius
New Found Glory who brought the bands in is my favorite reference on the album
