This seems like a simple video idea at first, but comparing the information we have in drawings/writing and putting that into a real-life example is invaluable. Keep up the amazing work! ❤

Dissecting the various components of the storm is REALLY helpful. I live on the prairie east of Colorado Springs and afternoon storms are frequent. I'm looking forward to applying what I'm learning to the afternoon skies. Thanks

Thank you Raychel for the informative video.
Question: What can I do to help support my 13 year old kiddo’s love of tornadoes? They want to be a storm chaser and work for FEMA when they grow up so they can captures storms, and help people afterwards.

Excellent video to show people what to look for in a storm. Really well done. Heres an idea. Would definitely take planning and luck( but for a chaser you know you need both) and some work. Get into position to catch a storm like the last one where you're able to watch it go through its cycles. And you're using close up shots to point out what's happening in the storm. Obviously use all the editing tricks ( freeze, slo-mo). Maybe use a two camera set up one first master shot and other more mobile and close ups . I know definitely a tricky thing. But if you pulled it off it would be the definitive tornado education video. Anyway congrats and looks like Thursdays gonna be hot in the panhandle.

Thanks for this suggestion! I’m planning some interesting new ways to teach this year. This is similar to what I have been thinking on!

4:59 - You saw a spaceship; I tried to remember when I last had something from Cinnabon (in my Homer Simpson voice, to boot)... 🤷🏽‍♂️
