And Virtus/Slavia is now rated 5 stars( in Both adult passenger and child safety )in latest,more stricter GNCAP ratings ! Only car in India after VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq ! Out of so many cars being produced in India, VW/Skoda occupying the Top 4 positions ! Incredible Safety and Built Performance ! Tata & Mahindra also doing good ! These brands should get max love and sales ! And brands like Hyundai and Maruti should start focussing on safety and built quality of their cars if they want to sustain in the long run.
Before that vw needs to resolve these Problems/Issues/Shortcomings reported in Virtus/Slavia: Rattling and squeaking noise from everywhere Break noise is apparent in the 1.0 automatic while creeping in b2b traffic, parking and reversing. The brake pads makes a screeching sound and the ABS brings the car to a juddering halt Jerky brakes. Brakes are not as much activated till a certain time and then they suddenly become too sharp Aggressive creep function in 1.0 automatic. The acceleration is quite aggressive when parking in tight spots. AC ineffective and AC cutoff problem Fuel injector issues consumes engine oil more EPC error/ Fuel pump malfunction leaving the car stranded on road during trip Min 95 octane fuel mandated in the manual which is extremely difficult to find The discs are very grabby, the car doesn't start creeping forward because of the stuck brakes MT has issue of clutch pedal sticking to the bottom in excessive usage, mostly on mountains or bumper to bumper traffic Power window one touch up doesn't work sometimes and it comes down on its own Transparent/open part of the sun blind making the AC ineffective by letting in sunlight heat Panel gaps Exhaust smell coming into cabin when AC in recirculation mode. Outdoor smell coming in despite the AC vent closed or on, painful whenever passing a drain Piano black on the interior prone to scratches easily Cabin lamp comes apart and fell down on potholed roads Lever to open driver side door broke The cruise buttons in the right switchboard panel of the steering wheel fell off on its own Noisy windows roll motor Engine sound inside cabin. if music is not played and road is relatively empty, engine noise is irritating inside cabin Front ac vents are of cheap quality Windows roll up/down not working properly Noisy ventilated seats Irritating Auto start stop switching off the engine on a speed breaker Not well done cabin insulation. D3-D2 transition is jerky when driven at City speeds, DSG is inherently jerky at city speeds DSG lag Wireless charger heating Erratic Android Auto/Apple CarPlay disconnecting and refusing to connect Steering alignment issues No disk breaks at the rear No physical control for AC needing to take eyes off the road to fiddle with climatronic control Placement of buttons (lock and auto engine start stop) near gear box is painful to operate for driver. These should have been at right side No height adjustable seatbelt No sunglass holder(Virtus) Smaller size ORVM Only typeC port available Less wider seats at the front making it uncomfortable for wider people Seat which are supposed to be stock seat material, but looks more like after market seat covers. Fit and finish is very poor with lots of wrinkles, lines and loose fitting with exposed zippers, exposed stitching and poor contouring around the creases Ugly looking rear with an exposed tank, torsion beam(Slavia) No dynamic guidelines on reverse camera Low quality/resolution reverse camera No full fledged TPMS The music audio quality is a let down with no branded audio system in any variants Uncomfortable back seat recline angle Low mileage in city Low quality plastics and cheap materials used for India-spec 2.0 models Inability of service centre to resolve issues. They are pathetically slow & poor in responding to query
Absolutely fair race but just wanted to point out that 0-145 in this video vs the other has a difference of 3 seconds at least. Verna in the first video was 3 seconds faster, at least. DCT and performance of Verna clearly struggling in the heat. Kudos to German engineering for giving a more consistent performance.

Great race! Gear changes par bhi gap was increasing by Virtus so clear winner in the drag. However, after these many runs my advice as an engineer is to brace yourself for a gearbox change after 2 years.

Verna ne acchi takkar di end mein.. In general if I have to pick between the 2, I would choose Virtus, not cause it's fast but because of the safety and built quality. Only thing to worry though would be the unreliable gearbox. Time will tell...
Now since this is done, let me explain what loophole of the DCT/DSG gearbox has been taken advantage of in this race to make the Virtus win. I suppose that many people would not know that when a car with a DCT is stationary with your foot on the brake and the shift lever is in "R" or "D", the gearbox automatically shifts to neutral, unlike a torque converter auto, which is either in reverse or first gear. This is the reason why Ahlawat(who was the one this time) who takes foot off brake at count 2 to nullify the dsg lag whereas the verna driver did not do that(it can be that the driver is unaware of this like many or aware). In all other races where the N to D jugaad was done which they tell their followers as launch(There is no launch control system in Virtus) obviously it will take the lead, but this time the verna was not even catching up at 118 which was achieved in last drag race. All this drama done to save face after that fixed drag race done in emotion.
Previous race was done with pratham's virtus and his virtus is little bit slow as compared to virtus that is why Verna is catching at 118km Speed. And Dsg has more lag than dct.

There is a thing called engine break-in period. It varies from car to car. For the first 1000 to 1500 km the car runs at limp mode meaning that the engine is running limp so that it gets time to settle the internal engine components. After that break in period the car runs at its full potential.
But clearly these clowns who think of themselves as pro racecar drivers in their 150hp shitbox can’t seem to understand the basics of a proper drag race and the functioning of a car.

bro...there is something called engine calibration - meaning, adjusting the gear ratio w.r.t. to city/highway conditions. There is also a second aspect, ie body mass / engine capacity ratio - this decides the easy move in the vehicle (at the cost of safety or dead weight etc etc).
Bro inko yeh sb nhi pta. These cars are not built for drag races. Both cars are tuned differently by the OEMs to provide the best performance and economy on road. Only a winned will be concluded if both cars are tuned for the max performance output
What proof ? Both verna’s are new, their engines are in their break-in period and also track should have been a straight one. Otherwise the one on the inside track gets a little bit advantage over the one on the outer track. But in unpadh gawad logo kaun samjhaye so let it be.

I think the reason verna lost the drag this time and virtus lost the in the first vid is cus if you look at the road this time verna is on the outside lane and virtus is in inside lane in the first vid it was opposit the inner lane has less space/travel than outside lane the car can go faster at a curve by going from inside this is a huge factor to be considered from next time do on straight road to check the real performance

The Virus is a plush daily driver that will not withstand the punishment. VW now has to up its game, which means better engine, brakes, bushings and suspension upgrades to run with the Verna. Mostly deliver a genuine sense of fun and a level of interaction in the handling that is missing from so many modern cars. It's an absolutely brilliantly set up, thoroughly developed car that deserves to sell as fast as they can build it.

We all know people will crib about virtus squeaking and not so much plush interior but bros at heart is the DNA of this particular which comes from a family of the automakers who knows cars. Bhai, This Virtus GT( 150PS/148bhp) beat a Honda Accord 2.4 I-vtec which had (180PS/178bhp/222Nm and that accord weighs like 1525kgs. So, This Verna with 160PS/253Nm and roughly around 1200kgs is a big deal? Virtus GT is a clear winner.

If Koreans require a specialised "n" version to compete with standard German cars then you must not forget what "rs" Cars are of vw group , "amg" of merc and "m" of Bmw. Koreans are good at features, infotainment and all but when it comes to driving dynamics, structural rigidity, platform stability, engineerings used in order to enhance driving experience and safety, suspension setup, paint quality ,notch quality of interior (except vw2.0 ) , correct usage of different densities of steel wherever required , VW stands apart. apart from all the races the one with launches were totally crap.. drivers also plays huge roles but not in all races..also in one race where ahlawat was driving he pushed to accelarator at 2! you can hear the sound. its a known fact tht german mfg. always understate their power figures. Hence proved 150 german horses >160 korean horses. But can't deny that the verna wd be a better choice for daily usage given its service network and resale value. Coming from an ex polo owner.

Hyundai has many customers so they are upset which reflected in last video but it doesn’t mean Virtus or Slavia can be beaten in drivability and safety.
I drove both the cars manual turbo petrol i felt that In last gear virtus has more power and punch then verna whereas is 3rd gear verna has good power but in last Virtus won till 203 kmh 🎉
Virtus is a much more driver oriented performance sedan Verna doesn’t have a sport mode on the gear box where as the sport mode of the Virtus gearbox is amazing. Verna just has sport drive mode which just changes the suspension and pick up slightly Virtus has a much better and precise steering compared to the Verna The cruise control system of the Virtus is so amazing that you can preset the car to any speed while on the move when it’s braked and the car will reach that speed without any use of foot on accelerator Virtus is a brilliant mini Audi

First of all both car are not same on paper specifications. Verna has two advantage 10 extra bhp and 150kg lighter weight. On paper verna should win easily. But real-world virtus is the real monster. Kam bhp hone baad bhi gadi nhi haar rhi hai... remember old days polo 1litre tsi 108 bhp hone ke baad bhi...aaj bhi us polo ko i20 n line, old verna, creta, koi bhi nhi takker de pata h..vw is another league bro❤

Absolutely fair race but just wanted to point out that 0-145 in this video vs the other has a difference of 3 seconds at least. Verna in the first video was 3 seconds faster, at least. DCT and performance of Verna clearly struggling in the heat. Kudos to German engineering for giving a more consistent performance.

Verna ne acchi takkar di end mein.. In general if I have to pick between the 2, I would choose Virtus, not cause it's fast but because of the safety and built quality. Only thing to worry though would be the unreliable gearbox. Time will tell...
Now since this is done, let me explain what loophole of the DCT/DSG gearbox has been taken advantage of in this race to make the Virtus win. I suppose that many people would not know that when a car with a DCT is stationary with your foot on the brake and the shift lever is in "R" or "D", the gearbox automatically shifts to neutral, unlike a torque converter auto, which is either in reverse or first gear. This is the reason why Ahlawat(who was the one this time) who takes foot off brake at count 2 to nullify the dsg lag whereas the verna driver did not do that(it can be that the driver is unaware of this like many or aware). In all other races where the N to D jugaad was done which they tell their followers as launch(There is no launch control system in Virtus) obviously it will take the lead, but this time the verna was not even catching up at 118 which was achieved in last drag race. All this drama done to save face after that fixed drag race done in emotion.
Previous race was done with pratham's virtus and his virtus is little bit slow as compared to virtus that is why Verna is catching at 118km Speed. And Dsg has more lag than dct.

There is a thing called engine break-in period. It varies from car to car. For the first 1000 to 1500 km the car runs at limp mode meaning that the engine is running limp so that it gets time to settle the internal engine components. After that break in period the car runs at its full potential.

bro...there is something called engine calibration - meaning, adjusting the gear ratio w.r.t. to city/highway conditions. There is also a second aspect, ie body mass / engine capacity ratio - this decides the easy move in the vehicle (at the cost of safety or dead weight etc etc).

Bhai, This Virtus GT( 150PS/148bhp) beat a Honda Accord 2.4 I-vtec which had (180PS/178bhp/222Nm and that accord weighs like 1525kgs. So, This Verna with 160PS/253Nm and roughly around 1200kgs is a big deal? Virtus GT is a clear winner.

Virtus is a much more driver oriented performance sedan
Verna doesn’t have a sport mode on the gear box where as the sport mode of the Virtus gearbox is amazing. Verna just has sport drive mode which just changes the suspension and pick up slightly
Virtus has a much better and precise steering compared to the Verna
The cruise control system of the Virtus is so amazing that you can preset the car to any speed while on the move when it’s braked and the car will reach that speed without any use of foot on accelerator

First of all both car are not same on paper specifications. Verna has two advantage 10 extra bhp and 150kg lighter weight. On paper verna should win easily. But real-world virtus is the real monster. Kam bhp hone baad bhi gadi nhi haar rhi hai... remember old days polo 1litre tsi 108 bhp hone ke baad bhi...aaj bhi us polo ko i20 n line, old verna, creta, koi bhi nhi takker de pata h..vw is another league bro❤
