First track and Date? 1994 Inacubula (First Book in Latin) must be some mix tapes before that, Gescom as well older. For me though 1997 Daren Aronofsky's Film "Pi" Led me to Autechre, / Aphex Twin bouncing ball and Selected Ambient Works Volume II were other important albums also in the same ranage of 97 Discovery. 27 years is my official @ 42 years old.
I remember when Ae dropped their first release (under a different alias) in the Precambrian Era. Wild times back then existing in the primordial goo. Their tools have evolved, but somehow they still capture the vibe of hanging out in that brothy stew of molecules. Today I listen to Ae whilst bubbling in a spa, but it's not the same without the free radicals and cyanobacteria forming iron. They were chill, unlike the sporadic meteor strikes.
yep the visuals are from the twitch stream. there's also this channel which recorded the twitch streams with chat open. i haven't actually spent much time reading this stuff but i think it included some talk on what they were doing at times maybe www.youtube.com/@tjiiik-plus
Same thing going on for far too long. Boring. It’s so obvious the same thing is also happening in ae latests releases. No surprises any more, a very homogenic sound that sounds like it’s made with the same machine (mxp). And don’t give me that shit you ve been listening to ae for 22 years or whatever. I listen to ae since 1995 and I ve seen them live about 11 times if such numbers matter so much too you. This is my opinion.
it's not an official release of their music, it was a live stream of them working on a patch and streaming some visuals + they were chatting with fans on the side. i think you're taking it way too seriously, or missing the point or something.. but go off i guess?
@@bitroast Thanks for an explanation of what this is, I was wondering about that. I kinda wish this was uploaded as a single long high quality file though, sounds like something I could put on as background music while doing Starcraft II ladder or Rocket League. No doubt it would be way too boring for active listening though.
@@Broformist +1 I get the generative style and all that, but it doesn't feel composer's touch. I miss the 90' albums. What they release nowadays, soon will be easily produced by AI.
@@turzbot Well this particular bit is just them working on soundpatch so whatever. I feel composers touch in their newer albums. Though it took many years to get into their post 90s stuff, almost 20 lol. "Exai" is the album that unlocked all the rest for me, definitely one of their best, especially CD2. I'm still not crazy about their modern livesets, too much boring jerking off in those I feel. Yeah sound design is amazing but I don't want that at expense of musical enjoyment.
@@bitroast 😄I've been listening to Autechre for about 15 years and I always like them best when they are loud and beat heavy like LP5 or AE live 2015 (pre- Elseq). there are also albums that I do not like, such as the nts sessions which are for me 85% absolutely primitive and completely uninspired boredom. And Plus and Sign are also total garbage.
@@peloquin5652i've been listening for 18 years so you'll have to take my word on it when i say you are objectively wrong. please come back in 3 years or so.
