Survivalist's food...dried and reconstitutes when water is added. The ads are all over the place. There were more of them when certain people were in the White House...Lots rhetoric about race wars and how we were going to be pushed into a Civil War and how one should stock up on this kind of food, because it touted that regular grocery stores would be shut down. The companies who made all of the survivalist food, now have an enormous surplus. So, lots of people are buying it for pennies on the dollar.
Long Island City is in NY City borough of Queens. My sister lived in Astoria Queens & the part of Astoria she lived in was very close to Long Island City.

That is probably what happened, never went through Customs. It would of never made it into a reseller box or pallet. If it did go through Customs, they missed it completely and or looked the other way and sent it out. I agree it would of been confiscated upon inspection.
I'm guessing all of that food, especially the duck and chicken needs to be cooked and even if it's already cooked it probably still needs to be cooked in order to taste good or semi good. Thanks Clint for trying that nasty looking stuff. Gotta say, you got guts.

For your info. In Asia the date on the package is always date of packaging. It is usually good for about a year after that date to eat.
