I also want to get into research but in the same time I am concerned about all this factors you mentioned also I am concerned about getting a good institute 🥺.. Well I am in bsc third (maths major)year now gave jam but it was not as per my expectation...🥺
Hello didi I wanted to ask that for pursuing research according to you which pathway should be taken ? The BS MS Phd path or Pursuing research after mbbs? My parents who are doctors and even other known to are suggesting that for pursuing research in my field of research (oncology) taking mbbs path would be better... I am also planning to get into IISER pune if not mbbs What would you suggest?
It really does not matter if you have done a BSMS or MBBS if you want to have a career in research.. The only major difference is that at the end of MBBS, if you no longer want to be in research, you have far better job prospects.
Are those preferred institutions IISERs,NISER,CEBS or are they the IITs... Asking this because if this is the case it will be really easy to chose an institute...
All these institutions are great at something or other. Your choice should depend on your area of research and the faculty you want to work with. Choosing the correct supervisor should be your priority, among these institutes .
For sure in the future. However, tomorrow +or on Sunday) I am coming with a very special video. Where I will talk about PhDs in different institutions within India. There are a lot of discrepancies. Keep an eye for that.
It depends on your interest and area of specialization. After getting a BS-MS from IISER go into various sorts of jobs. One of the popular options is to go for PhD in your area of interest both in India and abroad. If your aim is to work for ISRO or DRDO you will have to give separate exams after your BS-MS. Hope it helps.
Int PhD in iiser seems messed up when seen from a financial point of view😢 But I have seen the fees structure of TIFR before this...I have also seen videos of students doing research in TIFR talk about financial issues of doing PhD...it didn't seem very very good but good enough...far better than iiser I guess...
Hello, There is significant overlap between 12th class and the syllabus of the first year of BSMS. You have to put in a bit more effort in the first year to cover up. Since you have cleared the cut offs for IISERs it means that you are perfectly capable of clearing the courses here. The rest depends on your interests in the subjects and the effort you put in.
Totally depends what you want to do. Ask yourself: If you want become an actual doctor or you want to pursue research. As far as financial situation goes. MBBS would be more stable choice in my opinion.
Can we eligible for msc level exams like pgt, gic lecturers, govt asst. Professor after completing int. Phd ,because these exams show only eligibility of msc completion, so I'm asking?
Hi Avinash, yes you will be eligible for the above mentioned exams. As after completing int. PhD you will be awarded a dual degree equivalent to both MSc and PhD.
In int phd, After completing msc course, can they consider you as a phd student without jrf Or if yes, then a exam for enrollment in phd after msc, if anyone fails in that exam then what will happen? Can he able to enroll in phd?
I am sorry, I don’t think I understood your question but I will try to answer what I did understand. You do have to pay institute fee any several institutes (there are few exceptions where there is no tuition fee ). You get more stipend/fellowship than the fee. So,there is definitely some importance of the fellowship you receive in order to survive your education financially.
Can't say for sure. As the total number of seats in just 1734. However, not all who give IAT end up joining iiser. So, you never know. Sorry for not so positive response.
@@Atharv_Vlogs no, im a senior xD I had a rank of 2353 last year, and there were 11 or 12 rounds Anyway due to some personal issues I didn't take any iiser. Dear Aritra, PhD is a full time job in itself and it will be extremely difficult to do any side job along with a PhD. However there are part time PhD programmes available in some of the institutes. In general, during the full time phd, one is not legally allowed to take up any other job. But it is not uncommon to find PhDs doing some online work for some extra cash. Hope it helps.

If you have a good academic record, then try to do a summer internship with some prominent scientist in a good university. You can judge on the basis of your experience there.
