- Rest in peace Sakurai Atsushi. When the news first came, I was beyond devastated and heartbroken, and it felt like my world was ending. I didn't want to believe it so badly, and I cried for three days straight.
Atsushi was and always will be my muse--he was everything I've ever wanted to be and my favorite male vocalist. He taught me so much about gender and performance, and was the person that inspired me to be and brought me into this world as my authentic self. I was so blessed to have heard him in person this May, and his voice shook me to my very core. I will cherish that memory forever.
I don't know how music to me will ever be the same without Atsushi.
I know I'm not a big or influential artist, but at the very least I wanted to do something to honor him and celebrate his legacy. His art will live on forever.
I needed some time to process, and then started working on this cover with Dazai. This song hits a sore spot, and I cried every single video take. Sometimes even seeing his face makes me sad. The loss of Atsushi is felt so tremendously far and wide. Many fans around the world are still grieving, and I hope we can all share the pain and love together.

You have made me cry a lot, Acchan's death was too painful that I still can't listen to his music again, something similar happened to me when Hide from x Japan died, listening to him again is painful, it's a wound that never ends healing.

Actually, I started listening to Buck-tick thanks to you and your cover of Coyote. Before that, of course, I knew this band, but only listened to couple of their songs (Dress, Snow white) and didn't think I'd like their other songs so didn't even try to listen. But after your cover I listened to their other songs and they became one of my favorite bands. Their lives of Tayou ni korosareta and Kiss me goodbye are one of my most watched still. And, of course, I was very upset with the news...
I cry, You can feel the emotion in your voice, it is nostalgic and sad, but there is a touch of light, Atsushi will always be in our hearts, thank you Saki, I love this.♡♡♡♡♡

I was beyond heartbroken when I saw the news and still when listening to his voice it seems unreal to me that he's gone. I remember hearing about the announcement of Atsushi's passing that wednesday afternoon, and I immediately just felt as if someone had sent an electric shock straight to my guts. Yet weirdly enough, listening to Buck-Tick in an attempt to keep his memory intact was what helped me through the worst of it, mayhap because it's the only way I could process it without crying more than I already have for the past few months. (Short explanation - I underwent an incredibly traumatic loss exactly one month before Acchan died. I'm not going to explain the details.)
The emotions put into this cover and the video really shows how much Atsushi meant to you Saki, and it's both beautiful and inspiring. I really hope you've been doing okay recently, despite everything.
The pain of the loss of Atsushi is just so much, it's still a little hard to think about it sometimes. I'm so sorry so many terrible things happened to you in such a short period of time... hope you are feeling better and taking your time to heal from it. I can see why you feel like that but I think the expressions really help make it a performance and not just a vocal cover. There's a story to be told. I watch a lot of jrock lives and I can tell Rose studies how the songs are originally performed when making these cover videos. It's really cool.
