Interesting dynamic. Just seems a really odd choice to make, I could maybe see doing this for the simplicity of a write off for a business owner that uses it exclusively for work. Otherwise, if I were in such a situation and there was no tax benefit, go buy like a 2-3 year old Lexus ES and drive it into the ground.

Well, if you want a new Mercedes, it’s an option. Didn’t even know you could pre buy miles, & get the money back if you don’t use them. I had a lease I drove more than I thought, but I just gave it up, as I knew the extra miles would be pricey. Plus, you have the car under the warranty, which is great. A used ES is an option, and hopefully it’ll be very reliable (I work at Infiniti, another Japanese brand, & the cars suck). It just depends upon what car you want, because the person isn’t really concerned about depreciation. They also might want newer tech, with leasing. The ES tech would eventually get old, although my 10 year old Hyundai has everything but car play.

There are choices that may make more sense objectively, like buying an old Lexus and driving it forever. But what so many forget is that if that choice won’t make the consumer happy, they will not consider it. So our goal always is to figure out how we can make our clients happy with their car and also make the smartest decision they can financially speaking to accomplish what they want. High mileage leases on demos are a great solution for someone who drives a ton but really wants a Benz!

As an E-Class owner that had a C-Class loaner. Girls that have been in a modern loaded Camry are icked by the poverty of a C300. From the way it bounces on road to the textile imitation leather. It also sounds kinda like a diesel and requires premium to develop its 220 hp

Not sure why they would not just buy the car versus lease driving this many miles. They can still depreciate it, for tax purposes ,and if they truly drive this many miles and the car doesnt fall apart then they should actually be better off buying versus lease

@@BenzsandBowTies With that many miles on it...assuming the 40K miles a year...I dont think that matters much. Assuming the 40K miles a year are real ..at 36 months it would just be sent to a wholesale auction anyway at lease end. If they could drive just an extra year, after the car is paid off, they would reap serious financial gain for their business bottom line.

No idea how this ended up in my algorithm, but since we are here… I wish Mercedes and BMW would quit listing sport packages as AMG or M (line, series, package or however you market it.) I get why the marketing department would push this narrative, but what it actually does is ‘dumb’ down the true AMG and M cars/SUV’s. It’s akin to Ford calling everything in their lineup a Mustang (E, GTD, etc…) I don’t want my $200k S63 to resemble the $65k S-class (AMG package) that someone just bought off lease. I don’t mind manufacturers creating sport editions (it’s the only way I can get my wife to drive something a little more interesting), just call it something else than a Halo car package.

"I don’t want my $200k S63 to resemble the $65k S-class " This is the dumbest take i have ever heard. If you're buying a car for the badge you're the problem. Buy a car for what it is, not what you "want it to be" with a logo. If BMW made a track monster, and didn't put an m-badge on it, it doesn't make it NOT a track monster. It's advertising.

@@mattymatte6289 completely missed my point. If I buy the higher performance model (BECAUSE THAT’s WHAT I LIKE TO DRIVE, MY PREFERENCE) it should have its own unique look. And I’m assuming you aren’t a gear head because you would know what differences the performance Specific models have versus the bread & butter lines. I can have a 6 cylinder 295hp Dodge Challenger OR I can get a 1000hp Dodge Challenger Demon and yes you can take both to the strip, but the 6 is really for getting groceries and don’t try to stop the 6 after a few runs as it will not have the same hardware for braking. So… you see… I don’t give a shit what you think about me or the vehicles I drive. You don’t understand, I’m not trying to impress you… I’m enjoying my driving experience. So you drive what you want, if you feel the need to have your voice heard I think TikTok would be a better platform for you.

@@BenzsandBowTies Confuses a lot of dealerships too. They’ll call it an AMG when it’s just the package. Or refer to an Audi A8 s-line as an actual S8. BMW is the same, all their cars seem to have a M somewhere on their badging not matter what. Just ordered an AUDI RS6 Advant because I missed the Mercedes AMG wagon (E class). That was great car and wow! does it keep its value. Thanks for the content.
