Now I now there is over lap that said it is all for Good in the grand plan, however this doesn’t neglect that things for individual can lead to evil, for myself I don’t like the word duality cause it can be limited however it is right when it come to distinction. Non-duality doesn’t fit in God’s Word, God cannot be tempted by evil nor can He tempt with evil, why? Because God IS good. Evil is anything apart from God, so God can’t be apart from Himself. If killing the Ego was all that was needed then Paul wouldn’t have a problem with stoics and stoics are very familiar with killing the Ego. Nope, Paul was frustrated with them always asking for wisdom, following spiritual forces and always follow the tradition of men, why? Because they get to caught up with the character of God with can be express through the law, creation or Conscience and not interested with knowing Him, if the had they would have realized that they needed a savior because there character (flesh) was false. See if the character of the flesh is not destroyed by the blood then it still resides in a person, granted a person Ego is no longer identified with the flesh character but the Spirit and Presumably the Flesh Ego is dead, however this does not wipe away the flesh character that reside in your Conscience. Instead the Holy Spirit preached through Paul as in me Jesus Christ crucified and said if salvation can come through the law then Jesus Christ die for nothing. Those who kill their old Ego or I do it when the realize that the character of the Spirit is true and then decide to identify themselves with that character however those who identify with it without recognizing that it is separate from them we always make them self the pinnacle of the character, now if they recognize that this character of the Spirit is separate and must be treated with respect and should be cautious that said their ego will Die, a good example is Cornelius a man who’s Ego die but feared a God that didn’t even know and he still wasn’t saved from wrath until he called out to Lord Jesus. Jesus connect us to God not by identity, character however by nature we have to call to Jesus so he made revert our consciousness to a place were it knew no sin.
