Lifelong NYC resident here. You’re right, JFK is a spotter’s paradise, but it’s soooo difficult to reach by car. As a passenger, Newark is far more convenient for me, even though it lacks JFK’s variety of airlines, and has few good places to spot. Outstanding video, and thank you!

Ah yes, the observation deck of the TWA Hotel. I spent about 3 hrs there just last week on my way back to AUH. It really sucks that even if you are a guest at the hotel, you still have to pay $15 to access the observation deck, and the room was not cheap by any means.
It’s sort of a crowd control measure. When the deck first opened it was free and it got out of control with the amount of people up there. Now it deters the large crowds while still making money.
