I just love how in Japan one minute you can be in a city and the next minute you are into nature/forest.

Japan is just...better, in so many different ways. I agree with your comment, its one of my favourite things about the culture and its people. It encourages everybody to raise their game and just be their best Self. I don't really know of any other country that impresses people enough to prompt that effort. Beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful video. Todoroki Ravine is notoriously difficult to photograph well. The lighting is extremely challenging and most people's travel photos end up looking very high contrast and burnt out at the same time, just flat with no depth. This video is LUSH. Thank you.

One of the most magical things about Tokyo is how completely quiet some of these hidden spots are, even being in the middle of this huge, bustling, densely populated metropolis. Togo Shrine right near Cat Street & Takeshita Dori in Harajuki is almost completely silent. It's amazing because if you walk for a few minutes in one direction you'll be walking in a colourful crowd shoulder-to-shoulder with teenagers and tourists, and if you walk in the other, you get to a busy main road and intersection. How these little 'pockets of green paradise' manage to remain so peaceful and silent is astonishing. A magic city. :)

Nice, been wanting to go there for a while, I'm going to have to when this rain stops. If you haven't been there/filmed there, I suggest giving Kita Ku/Itabashi Ku some light - specifically walking from Oji/Asukayama along the Shakujii River towards Naka Itabashi - or vice versa (it all makes sense if checking google maps). It's not quite the same level of peaceful/nature as Todoroki but still pretty nice, and definitely awesome at sakura time.

Back in the 1990's I lived in Kaminoge, about 15 minutes on foot from the ravine, and would go there often. Back then there weren't many people walking through the ravine, even on weekends.
