Two beautiful pieces from one most unassuming black rock. Good cut and polish. See y'a next time. 😷⚒
Old Disabled House Bound Dusty Rusty Rockhound here: Beautiful shine! Those are very interesting! Great expression of the stone... will make a beautiful pendant! Safe and happy trails!
wayyyy cool. unreal. This earth can be such a Joy
You ROCK! Picking up stuff the rest of us walk over, rarely even looking down, and discovering the hidden beauty within. ❤
It's a surprise rock!!!! It's so cool and very pretty. Awesome cabs 😍 ❤!!!
❤ I have a stone like this it was blue and slight white stripe when cut was red and blue and white stripes stunning
This is good to know. I've come across a good amount of these. I do have a few and will certainly be picking these beauties up from now on. Those are gorgeous finds!
Beautiful rock
Excellent freeforms!
@4:35 what a fantastic close-up!!
That's so awesome amazing ❤ 3 specimen in one find. Beautiful
Was holding a couple of those while looking for agates particularly black/blues. And looking in the polished rock Jars at the red/black jasp/agg and seeing the exact same rock!!!
Sweet! I kept thinking they were something because of the white wispy layer.. they polish spectacularly...
You definitely nailed it with its appearance. Absolutely looks like you were looking at space through a telescope!
They say the stones of Atlantis were black white and red. So we're the Egyptians. I think parts of the US and the stone you cut is from that exact time ...fellow RockHounds rock!!
Interesting! Thanks for watching!
😱 ooh no baby be careful with that blade 🤦🏼♀️
beautiful stones ❤

I'm far down in East Texas and I find something similar with about the same frequency as you. I know I've got something good when I find dark rocks with a bit of patterning. Cutting them open always yields something interesting.
Whwreabouts in East Texas? I used to live in that area
@@RockhoundingLife near the San Jacinto river. There aren't big agates there but the ones you find are quite diverse. Pet palm wood is probably the most unique thing you might find there.
I went on a hike* yesterday and found/picked up so many rocks!
I always used to smash rocks with my father. We would pick the ugliest one and crack it in half to see if it had something inside and the majority of the time. It was either marbleized or quarts of some sort inside. Quite fascinating.
That really is unexpected! The cabs look great.
That's so awesome
I find alot of these at my local beach, they're very fun ☺️
Yes they are!
Sweet findings🍭
Cheers from P.E.I.
That sure looks like opalized Petrified wood... beautiful stuff..
Amazing rocks
Looks like brains
Looks like black obsidian as well.
Nope. Sure doesn’t.
Absolutely Stunning ! Amazing material !
Thank you! Cheers!
Looks like it took a while for the silica to evaporate during formation! Awesome Agate! Tumbled its SWEEEET!
Sometimes if you don’t see the white window like, at times a bluish black rock will contain silver
That is so cool!
Thanks!
I'm going up to Scots Bay this Wednesday. Gonna keep an eye out for those. Very beautiful rocks!
Good luck!
Like a nebula...
Maybe it is,
Beautiful.
You must get really excited when you find a quartz geode.
Cool
Those are gorgeous! ❤❤❤
Thank you! Cheers!
A true, sleeping beauty. Such a surprise. TY
Scots Bay ftw 🥰😍
I surprised no geologist types have chimed in to give their opinion of what they are.
I've seen similar rocks in my part of the US and will be grabbing a few to meet a saw.
So beautiful!! I was worried about your fingers!! 🤦♀️😯⭐️✝️
Thanks! Check this out:

@@RockhoundingLife, Good reference video. Thanks for posting!
Beautiful ❤
Oh wow❤
Well done! I may have something similar. Time to look through the pile 😊
That’s so cool!❤
I have 3 or 4 of these rocks ( uncut ) in my collection.... 2 have lines of banding
awesome video! looks like black plume agate
Thanks so much for this video Jason! I have 2 or rocks that look just like this, from the same place. I was drawn to the blue color and odd look and when I looked closer I saw some little agates, dark agates on a dark rock. I haven't got a saw yet to cut them, but I'm very curious to know if they are red inside, like yours are. You would never guess it by looking at them!
I got the nebula! 🤸♀️ Yippee!!! 🎉
Funny story......i thought i had posted them last month when i did the video but i looked last night and it was still in draft. I made them active and you scooped them up about 10 minutes after. Great timing!
@RockhoundingLife - Sweet! I'll send pictures once I get them netted for wearing. I do nålbinding (it's how the vikings knitted) and have done several crystals and stone specimens with simple looping to make them into jewelry.
Thank you.
I can’t believe he wasn’t wearing some kind of protective gloves. I was afraid he was going to slice his fingertips right off!!! 😱
This video will ease your mind regarding the safe uise of this machine.

Great explanation loved. Always with facts. Thank you. I also was worrying about your thumbs been cut. 😂❤
Very cool
They're beautiful, and you show them off to good advantage. It looks like they've already been snapped up by some lucky buyers. It's always fun to know a bit of the story of the polished stone that you are buying.
Cool!
Stunning! ❤
Thank you! 😊
Those are amazing!!!
Glad you like them!
Nice you never know till you cut them . im always cutting them myself , thanks
Loved watching this created ! I have rock collected for most my life. I would love to do some cutting and polishing, but the equipment can be pricey.
There are some cheap ways to get into the hobby
@@RockhoundingLifeyes? Anddddd?
Well, for cutting, you can theoretically put that "blade" he uses on any table saw and set up a hose to drip water so things don't get too hot while cutting the rocks. And there's a million cheap rock tumblers with all the grits for sale.
Beatyful
Too beautiful
Thanks a lot 😊
Stunning!😊
Thank you! 😊
Those are the weights that were at the tip of a dragons (dinosaurs) tail.
👍👍👍👍very nice rock 👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
beautiful
Thank you! 😊
I found some neat stuff on the BR Shore down past the Light house at the end of the wharf road by DC. ❤
So cool!
@@RockhoundingLife ill polish one up tomorrow and make a short
I'm fairly sure it's flint: dark or black, shiny and waxy, sparks when slabbing, 7 on mohs hardness test
I just cut one of mine that's mostly black with red stripes
I like rocks, I bring them home
⛏️😎 iam just a simple rock hunter
sell them as galaxy pendants!
Looks like a small beefsteak
I have some stones like this in my stash (likely from the same location) might have to dig them out and see what's inside
You should
Obsidian
I need to get a cutter !
Let me know when you are ready and ill send you our affiliate link and codes. They can also be found in this videos description

Where is Scots Bay? Gorgeous rock
On the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia Canada
@@RockhoundingLife well, Nova Scotia, here I come!! Thanks so much.
I am an old rock enthusiast, coming back to it now, as I have a new lease on life after a recent hospital excursion. I’m looking for any tips as a new lapidary hobbyist. I am in the process of purchasing a small trim saw as I do have some creative ideas and other rocks that I can find around my area. Is there decent and much cheaper way to make cabs other than to buy a very expensive cab machine? I already have a Tumbler And I will be purchasing a flex shaft, multitool as well. Just curious as to if this may be enough as a start for polishing, cutting and shaping. Any, and all help would greatly be appreciated friends. Thank you
Hey there,
Congrats on your recovery! It sounds like you have obtained the typical "starter kit" for a budding lapidary hobyist. It will take you linger to make cabs but it can be done with what you have. When you are ready to move to the next level i cam help you. Just reach out.
@@RockhoundingLife thank you so very much man! I was just watching your video about the new faceting machine, so I hope we can see soon some more footage of that because I was also contemplating one of those down the road. I’m excited once I get started here and can share some creations. I am a welder, so I obviously want to incorporate metal or sculptures in with some of these rock cutting projects that I have in mind. Love your videos and thank you for the reply!
@@RockhoundingLife Also, I do not mean to bug you, but just curious if it’s possible to put a small say 4 inch diamond wheel on the flex shaft tool, so that I can shape cabs a little easier than with the Dremel side of things.
I would recommend local magnma globs. Cooled of course
I have rocks for sale. Dollar a ton. Under neighbors house they be
What is address to see?
What general area do you find them in?
Ive found them across the whole beach
I wish you’d say where you found them.
I do....this was found on Scots Bay beach Nova Scotia
Where can I buy these nebulae stones.
Our Etsy store if in stock. Link in the video description
Open your mind, and you'll see fower petals.
I think its dioraite.
Where's the link to your store?
Link is in the video description
Has anyone ever told you that you sound like Ricky from Trailer Park Boys lol
All the time lately. Never used to though
How hard are this rocks on a scale of ten?
They are a 7 on the mohs scale
Looks like a brain! 😂
Looks like a mineralized kidney
You might be on to something. It does look to have been organic once
Looks like a brain, because it is a brain. The original rocks as found
we're petrified skulls of some ancient creature.
YOU NEED BETTER MUSIC.
Well i did do a poll on the misic and it was 60-40 in favor of the music.
SMH. That's what you found to complain about? The Music? 😂🤦🏻♀️😂🤦🏻♀️😂
The ‘white tracing’ is a creature track. This is not the same rock! If it was you’d have opened it open off the saw without ‘cutting’ to another camera. Rubbish!
This comment is rubbish
I made it to the 1 minute 32 second mark. Paused the video and am outta here. I came to see the rock. Not listen to your life story. Why not just show it ? Jeesh........
See ya! Thanks for the visit!
I came for the story...but ended up with the rock!!! 😂
Very cool
