John Bowdler goes down into the organ pit but there's no one on the Roland!
John Bowdler changing places with Liz Harrison, this time done out of sight!
This must have been a tight changeover as there is barely room for one person to take to the bench in the pit!
Its a real testament to these two consumate professionals that the playing is seamless throughout.

When I was many years younger, my life's aim was to play this beautiful instrument. Never happened sadly. I spend a lot of time listening to the various organists. Absolutely wonderful. ❤😊

You can buy playing experiences on the Wurlitzer though it's not cheap!

That changeover certainly took a long time.
Yes it did! There is precious little room in the organ pit for one person let alone two!
It is quite a challenge to swap two players without missing a note!
They both did very well under the circumstances!
This is why 2 organs are used but it was great to witness such a rare event!
I've never in my life of going to the Ballroom seen a change over take as long as that , even with a Wurlitzer change over same organist.. Maybe cos she's a newbie at the Tower .John was stuck waiting for her down there cos she was late 😮. I can certainly tell when she took over. I know John's playing
