As someone who has submitted a true ending speedrun I'm excited for this
With the Pillar John outfit unlocked, you've now basically done everything there is to do in this game. I had that weird feeling of "okay, now what?" when I unlocked the final outfit. I'm glad I can move on to other games, but I loved having excuses to play more of this game.

I still have the P ranks and some achievements left, but I felt the same way after I got this outfit. Like I still have stuff left to do, but it's mostly just replaying the same stages for a better rank, the John outfit felt like it was the final major challenge
There is still more to the game with the really good mods the community has made

Try lap 3 mod it's hard and precise but the satisfaction when u complete it
Someone _NEEDS_ to create a Best Theoretical Time (or BTT for short) for Pizza Tower, where you find the fastest run of every segment and compile them all together to find out the fastest time theoretically possible. It would be so freaking satisfying to watch
Could be easier to do if people used the segmented times like sm64 Speedruns, or if the game had that
People are currently making TASes of individual levels, and some people are working on full game TASes right now, although I don't think there are any completed full game ones at the moment.

Its fun to speedrun the game while listening to Merg in the background doing it as well. Makes me feel a bit less alone.
Merg may not be a delivery dude, but he surely knows how to deliver pizzas. First in Omori and now on Pizza Tower. That's some professional skill, if RUclips ever comes down, i already know a good job for him XD

Well, as the game put it, you're quick as hell Merg! As someone who is trying to do a 101% speedrun myself, this gave me some motivation to try and get some more runs in myself! 2 hours with full commentary? Heck yes. Hopefully this isn't the last we'll get to see of Pizza Tower, but if so going out with a bang is how it's done.
I've got my 101%, and I've got the "Quick as Hell" ending, only reason I haven't gotten the "HOLY SHIT" is because Zelda came out and I've been a bit distracted... That's definitely gonna happen though. I've never ever 100%'d a game, even games I torture myself in like Elden Ring, where I did a Level-1-No-Stat-Boosting-Gear run. I just don't care to achievement hunt, but Pizza Tower, this game just hits different man. One of the absolute best side scrollers of all time, no hyperbole, and I'm glad at least one person on this platform actually took it all the way rather than just jumping on the train for a quick view boost.

Make sure never to skimp on toppings to try saving time. I only got two toppins from oregano desert because I thought it would take too much time to get them all and that exact decision came back to haunt me later in the run

I've checked the current official Pizza Tower True Ending Speedrun records, Merg is about 70th (though he's not officially on the rankings). Great job! He's the 70th fastest Peppino in the world (with a good heart).

Merg did the Tutorial exactly how we all did rhe first time, from failing both super jumps to accidentally doing a normal attack instead of upwards on the Pizza Boy target practice.

This was so much fun watching it along side my own recording of doing this exact thing. I ended up being only 8 seconds faster then you and got 69%.
Shortly on how robots wake up during escape: The pineapple robot appears at certain spots, either summons a flying pineapple piranha or sets of an alarm, depends on the spot. You can shoot him to stop.
it does both but doesnt set off an alarm if its far away from a monster

It is unlocked by beating the game in less than 2 hours on one playthrough, which once done, you feel amazing
Tho, there is another "Peppino's final judgemenent" screen to unlock
And this one is a little harder but has to do something with speedrunning
That one being unlocked if you get 95% of the tower done in one playthrough in less than 4 hours, some screen i wont reveal whats it about byt there it is!
A great challenge to consider in some future if you want another excuse to make more pizza tower videos

if you want one final challenge which will be the hardest, you can try to get 95% tower status or more in under 4 hours which will give you the best judgement.
here are some suggestions for stuff to do if you wanna still play pizza tower:
play the betas and stuff
get the 95% tower status in under 4 hours
try out some mods
play sugary spire
that's all I could think of.
i’d love to watch him play something like the lap 3 mod but idk how well that would translate into a let’s play with how unrelentingly difficult it is 😅
the randomizer is probably the safest choice for a modded playthrough

I would love to see a speed run with all secrets, p ranks, treasures, and achievements. It would probably be too stressful, but I think you have the skill for it.
I've heard that if you get 95% or more in under two hours, you get a special "judgement" at the end. Not entirely sure what does or does not count toward that though.

Hey Merg, there is still one ending that you may can try to reach, but its gonna be incredible hard tho but knowing you and seeing you got the "Quick as hell" ending which you only get if you finish the game inbetween 2 hours.
Step 1: finish the game with atleast 95%
Step 2: finish the game under 4 hours
Its really incredible good how you managed to speed run this game so good. Really, be proud of yourself Merg
Tip for running fast at all times: instead of normal walking, use grab. When using it you gain almost enough speed to go to mach 2 as well as have high in-air and on ground control.
Another thing: if you use grab while mach running (even in air!) you can instantly turn left and right.
