    When stamping an image, don’t brush on too much polish. There is a fine line between just enough and too much. When scraping, do it at a 45’ angle. Scrape in one stroke and going away from you, not towards you. Scrape quickly and then when picking up the image, softly roll the stamper over the image or push down and pull back up. Don’t push the stamper on the image with force. I always use a lint roller to clean my stamper, it works just as good as tape. Also, the cute pineapple (grabber) is used to pick up a cotton ball or cotton round soaked in acetone to clean your stamping plate without messing up your own nails. Hope this helps.😊

    I just wanted to jump in the screen and help you!! I spent soooo long trying to get stamping to work and finally I got it perfected. The biggest problem with your stamping in this video is that you press down too hard and for too long when picking up the image. The best way I found is to super gently, and quickly, roll the stamp over the image. I promise that will pick up the image so much easier. Scrape quickly at a 45° angle, quickly and gently roll over the image, and stamp. Boom. So much easier, I promise. Stamping is a huge learning curve. I went through so much frustration trying to figure out how to get it to work. At that time, there weren't really many stamping videos, so I didn't really have much guidance on how to do it. Can't wait for you to try again!!!❤

      I almost didn’t wanted to watch this because my experience first stamping was SO FRUSTRATING. You’re way chiller than I was. The lighter pressure you use rolling the stamper over the plate the better. I don’t understand why none of the directions talk about that. You did so good!

    You can use a rolling motion to pick up the stamp rather than straight on. You can use the scraping card on your stamper to remove areas that you don't want on the stamper-by tapping it on the stamper. It should come off easier. I've found that lint rollers work well to clean the stamper up.

  • @jordandarmento
    @jordandarmento 4 месяца назад +4

    I have used a stamping plate with gel liners (even though it wasn't supposed to be used that way) because its thicker than normal nail polish & doesn't dry until you cure it - so you don't have to race the clock! I found it sooo much easier. :)

      @@mistyjomay6272 Hi! I got the stamping set from Beetles, which primarily does gel polish.. so maybe their stamper is made differently to accommodate gel? It came with 2 "stamping gels" in black & white - but it worked with my colored gel liners from Beetles as well! I hope this helps :)

  • @carolynr89
    @carolynr89 4 месяца назад +4

    I absolutely love stamping. It might work better for you to use very light pressure with the stamper.. just one quick touch then pick up. If you press too hard it won't pick up, light quick touches work great & try not to double press bc that will definitely mess up the image and transfer.

    Awesome! I have a LOT of Maniology stuff! I used to get their monthly subscription box. I kinda tired out of stamping a few months ago though so I haven’t done it in a while.
    That’s funny I have the Pineapple top grabber tool also. I use mine to pick up cotton balls from a jar I have on my desk. I soak them with alcohol then clean off my stamping plates when I’m done using them. It works great for that and I have also used it to hold my little sponge cubes for doing ombré nails with my pat painting gels. 😊
    Stamping definitely took me practice to get it right. Not sure if it’s necessary but I usually prime my stamper heads before I use them with a melamine sponge (brand name ones are Mr Clean Magic Erasers). I saw it done in a stamping video, tried it, and I think it really helps pick up the design.
    I love the Maniology stamping polishes you got! Their metallic ones are the best! I have also bought some really nice gel stamping polishes on Amazon that are really affordable. Maniology’s Sticky Base Coat works really well and they also have a No Smudge Top Coat that I love because it protects your design from smearing.
    Your Aprés set turned out so frickin cute! Thanks for sharing! 😊 I always look forward to your videos! Hope you have an amazing weekend and happy 4th of July!! 💕🎆🇺🇸🎇

    I love that you show the struggle - I didn't like stamping with traditional polishes, but I do really like their plates, it looks like they are etched well. Thicker formulations seem to transfer better so I'm sure the black and white was meant to stamp over the sparkle polish. Also, you can use just one swipe and scrape it down into the etched pattern if you want, it's more about speed and clean, dry plate and stamper than about amount. With time, you'll master it. :D

    I’ve been stamping for 3 years now. I must say you are so brave to show the struggle! You are picking it up quick. I have a couple tips too. Let’s take the purple jelly nail. The stamper is cleat so you can line it up and stamp right exactly where you already stamped. In that case you could have we call “undie white” so stamp it in white then stamp it again in purple. Take your time lining it up. There is no rush once it is on your stamper.
    The other little tip is once you have the design on your stamper use the clean side of your scraper to dab off all the designs on it you don’t want. Isolate just what you want. I have a lot more I would love to tell you but you learn it all. There is layering, painting designs on your stamper.. also there is a super cute lint roller and dispenser made just for stamping on Temu or Shien

    i think buying some gel stamping polish in the future would be a great idea considering, that u mainly use gel, and i think that would also help with the problem u had putting base coat on top of the design:)
    also, i noticed that u didnt remove the ring u had on ur middle finger, before adding the big rhinestones, so did u have trouble removing after? or did u just let it stay on?

I sometimes with use a brush to paint inside and outline design I stamped. I paint it in the stamper and let it dry so it won’t smear before transferring to the nail. I sometimes have 3 stampers standing on my desk drying out to transfer onto my nails.

    Watch Marla Kris. She does lots of maniology stamping and reverse stamping. Rock the stamper to the image than press into the nail. And you have more time to figure out the placement for your nail. So don’t feel rushed to stamp it right away. It’s already dry on the stamper.

I do a lot of show nails they are super long can't cope with them day to day lol but mine are medium.. I have used a few different ones and honestly its a case ofplaying around with the amount and how much area is cover on your nail bed to how long they last.. xxx

    a strip down the middle will come of in a few weeks... xx

    From what I have seen one RUclips I watch and she does a lot of stamping, she takes her scraper to stamp off the images she does not want on the nail, off so it doesn’t end up in the nail….if that makes sense. Like if she wanted a butterfly but a flower ended up on the stamper with the butterfly, she would take the scraper to stamp the flower off so it was only the butterfly on the stamper.

    I have the Milky White of Off Born Pretty, and I like it..
    When your stamper gets not sticky enough, you can clear it with dishwas soap .. just take it in your hand, wash it and let it dry on a kitchen tile.. You will see that after it's dry that you get a 'greasy' spot where it touches the paper, but that's normal.. and always try to keep the lid on so it stays clean, even from the air in your room.. 😊 Not that your room isn't clean! 😅🤣🤣🤣🤣 🫣
    I have had in the beginning so much frustration that I trew everything in the desk and left it there for a months!! It was after watching Talia, very recommended, she's amazing, and others like Sherry and Girl66.. she's also so handy !
    And never ever ever try to buff your stamper bc it gets cloudy and then you can't see anything anymore what and where you are stamping.. Acetone is the best to clean the plates, and also, when you use a new plate, after you remove the blue film, also go over it with acetone to remove any sticky residue from it.. Watch out with your scrapper with cleaning it with acetone bc the images on them goes of off them and the Maniologie have some beautiful collective ones which you only gets that one time and then it would be such a pety that it went clear.. omg, Im writing you an essay.. 🤭😂🤣
    When I started back, I practised on a piece of paper so you could see what you stamped without needing to prepare 20.000 nails.. 😜😜 and then on your own nails its handy to have a sticky base on them, so your stamp comes off smoothly and in 1 piece.. I'm writing you all this bc I think you might not have so much time to watch a dozen videos ..😋 And yes, I also love to usz my gel topcoat, but be careful and wait enough time to be sure it's completely dry and then try to flood the gel over it... 1 last thing, I promise! Stamping is a messy thing, so make sure you have some kitchen paper to clean the residue of your scraper, and when you are getting a few stamps, it's also easier to go forward .. 😜 Especially when you are gonna try reverse stamping and double layers and so on and on.. 😊😊
    Okay, now I'm gonna stop!!
    Only 1 thing lefr to say, loved your choose of colours!!
    Maybe still one thing 🙈😅 The top off the bottles are black and white because you can put down a stamp with that colour and see if it goes great on white, black ore even both.. seal it with a topcoat, and you see it for the next set, which are the opaque ones..
    Okay, now I'm out!!!! So gone!!
    Thank you so much for being you! You are like a breath of fresh air and so sweet and gentle.. omg, now it's like a declaration of love! 🤦‍♀️🙇‍♀️🙈🙈🙈🙈 😂🤣😂😂 Jesus.. 🫣🫣
    Okay, bye 👋 😁😁
