I loved watching Robby, Thrash and Prowl interacting. Thrash finally got his Dad 2. So happy about that. When Prowl said "Ask Optimus" I low key lost my mind too. Oplita shippers are getting some crumbs! At last after so many years. But Maybe JUST maybe that line could be about Prowl's love life. The reveal that Izzy is a Shapeshifter somehow doesn't sit right with me. I kinda wish Izzy was involved more in the episodes or maybe it was foreshadowed better. For example she could be really interested in Terrans, maybe even a little intrusive. A bit sad there is no message but it's ok. Can't wait for the next episode review.
This episode was really good - I totally agree on the writing. Also love any episode with Prowl in. His and Thrash’s team up was something I didn’t know I wanted to see, I really enjoyed that. Thrash finally got some kind of mentor figure, too. Oh I also did NOT notice that animation error with Prowl’s eyes, lmao.
Yeaaaaah, Prowl and Thrash's bonding time in this episode was so awesome to see! And honestly I feel is the best fit for Thrash! Having a more stern, disciplining Autobot to sort of steer the more rebellious Terran into doing good feels sooooo good to me.
Slight Continuity Error: Nightshade mentions they saw on the monitor Thrash and Robby were in trouble with the Hate Plagued Prowl, but then they just come through the entrance of the barn rather than through the trapdoor in the barn. But, there’s an easy solution to this. … Nightshade and Hashtag finally finished those escape pods back in Security Protocols.
Bonus: I have a theory on why Izzy (Or whatever her name really is) broke Thrash’s bowling ball, because that might seem like a weird plot point at first. Maybe because she couldn’t infect the Terrans with the Hate Plague, she tried other methods for them to make them fight amongst each other. Starting by taking JB’s form, and breaking Thrash’s bowling ball so the brothers could fight with each other. You know, the whole divide and conquer thing.
@@littlemisstfc I wouldn't be surprised if the next time Robby has a conversation with her if she escapes prison is like him either pointing out his pain or going all wolverine and saying something like you know what you're just a nobody and saying all kinds of crap
... I had a joke, but then I forgot it. Opinions on this episode, pretty good, but I do find it to be the weakest episode of the Quintesson Arc however. Why? Usually I don't talk about the animation, but it's especially off here. Maybe more off than in "The Imposters". First off, why is every so gray in Witwicky? Like, the sky looks very cloudy and the characters feel very faded there. It's especially noticeable on Robby. There's also a few animation errors, such as when Robby is inside Bee and with him when he stopped Scholder, all of a sudden he comes out of Prowl when he and Thrash drive up. (The imposter part isn't supposed to come until later!) There's also an error where Prowl's red parts go black for some reason. However, the others are honestly kind of funny, such as Thrash's detective board about the plague randomly flips upside down, or when Prowl's eyes go derpy when Thrash sprays him with the frost. Moving back to the good side of things, but Thrash is finally back in-character for once! In the past few episodes, he's been acting as the cowardly bunch of the group for some reason, but he's much more aligned to his Season 1 counterpart. Sadly this is only for this one episode as he kind of reverts back to his cowardly side in one scene during the Season Finale, but still, good on ya Ian! Also, my dream has finally come true! A Thrash and Prowl teamup! Ever since Prowl was announced, I've been wanting him to be a mentor-figure to Thrash. Like with Twitch and Wheeljack, Nightshade and Tarantulus, JB and Grimlock, Hashtag and Starscream, for a while... but now we're finally rounding out the group with these two! And how was it? Good... but I was expecting a little more. Obviously the episode has other priorities, but I was kind of hoping we'd get some bonding between them. Maybe that'll come in a later episode though. Also Thrash as a detective was fun, he was being a bit mean to JB, acting all pissed thinking he broke his bowling ball, but later in the episode, it's shown he does still care and love him. He, Ninja Arin and Zipp Storm should start a detective club together. Also, why does Thrash have a bowling ball? He certainly has a lot of interests, wrestling, music, detectrive, and bowling apparently. Okay okay, now for the plot twist of the episode, Izzy, Isabella, Isa... is a Quintession Shapeshifter the whole time! I should've known, she had spikes for earrings! Jokes aside, this was certainly a surprise. (Even if I did read the description ahead of time) I don't mind the twist, as it does play nicely into Robby's character for the next episode, and sets up the Quintessons nicely, but I don't really like how she basically never liked Robby the whole time. Makes her a bit one-dimensional. (As if she wasn't already one-dimensional) I kind of wish she had a whole conflicted feelings for Robby, wanting to serve her masters, but not wanting Robby to get hurt. Also btw, who was the girl The Shapeshifter scanned? Is she actually from California? Is she still out there? Is that where The Shapeshifter landed? And how long was she spying on the Maltos? Was she just disguised as Flapjack the whole time and we never noticed it? So... yeah this episode was a lot. Animation was a bit shotty, Thrash is back in character, I like him with Prowl, and the plot twist with Izzy was certainly something. Definitely the weakest episode of the Quintession Arc, but that doesn't make it a bad episode. Animation bought it down a few pegs, but the story more than made up for it! I'll be nice and give this episode: 8/10
This is actually the penultimate episode of S3 part 1 not the entire season. S3 part 2 will air in 2025. I like the fact that ES used the Quintessons as the primary villains of S3. Since TF earthspark does not want to use Decepticons as villains (S2 not withstanding) using the Quintessons was a good choice as they are usually enemies for both Autobots and Decepticons.
the implications of this episode where very strange, for one thing Izzys age was not specified and she was referred to as an ancient alien, also it seemed like she did care for Robby but on the other hand she starts acting creepy and really pathetic after the reveal. Also the twist was surprising but it wasn't build up or earned it just happened and after this episode the show has Robby be sad about it he gets over it and then Izzy is forgotten about, just like the cave water in season 2, and the decepticons getting away and going to Cybertron. It also seems like the show is cancelled since the next transformers series has been announced.
Starscream is likely going to be in a depressed state in season 4 because the decepticons left without him like maybe give him a sympathetic moment towards Robby or hashtag and by chance if anyone thinks starscream can't work in a depressed stare read spotlight Megatron
there probably won't be a season 4 considering the announcement of the next transformers show, and the fact that the budget of earthspark appears to have been slashed after the first season.
Yes indeed and it's Soo messed up that reverse flash who is Soo obsessed didn't do something like this but can we say Izzy is worse than Eobarde thawne
When Izzy was revealed to be a Quintesson Shapeshifter, I couldn't help but to get Jack and Arcee vibes from Prime.
