    Hey Daniel, I'm now in my 5th year into this business up in Quebec, Canada. Like you, I built my own rig with all the trials and failures that comes with it ( I must be at version 5 or 6 by now :) ). My wash bay is made from an old stainless steel bar urinal, I managed to fabricate my own clamps with 12v actuators to grab and lift the bins. I was struggling too with too much dirty water to transfer to my tote at the same time, and the way I managed this is by making my own venturi "vacuum", I'm using a 3 GPM pressure washer and I can tell you that thing moves water (20:1 approx ratio leading to about 60 GPM at the end and that is with only 3 GPM). I'm using two of those vacuums, one to empty my wash bay and the other to empty my dirty water tote as fast as possible. Since there's no moving parts in it it's almost impossible to clog, and with 2700 psi pushing, anything passes thru, dirt, rocks, food, grass... name it, if it passes in a 1-1/2 diameter hose, it will go.
    Now let's talk about your trailer. I've got a few questions!
    What trailer size is this? I'm looking to upgrade me setup to be able to carry more fresh water in order to clean more bins. I'm now using a single axle 10 foot trailer but it's a little bit too short.
    Did you used your cleaning head with a 5 GPM pressure washer, and if so was it good or I should be looking for a 8 GPM right away? I'm looking to get one of those heads too in a near future.
    How many bins can you clean with a full tank of fresh water @ 8 GPM? I know that how dirty bins are might be a factor, but in average.
    My whole setup is far from being perfect, as it all started as a proof of concept for this type of business where I live, but now business is growing and I don't want to spend 100K$ on a trailer/truck.
    Hope to ear from you, keep on the good work man!

    • @lspressurewashing

      Richard, Sorry for the late response and I appreciate the input about the trailers! I have a 7x16’ I believe. It’s plenty of trailer. I would recommend using a 8gpm just because it opens the door to doing a lot more than just trash bin cleaning. I’ve sense ventured into concrete cleaning since when I first started. And I think it was the best thing for business. Also about how many bins I can clean, roughly about 20-25 off a 275 gallon tote before wanting to fill up again. I’ve since this video down a lot more to the trailer I’ll try to make a video today at my yard.

    Hey Daniel just wondering where u got the blue wash bay table, I understand you just connect the water line at the bottom of it and and the nozzle on the top. I’m thinking of using the 1 tank method and reusing the water so I would have to connect the second line back into the same tank and also does this wash bay filter out solids?

    • @lspressurewashing

    Question do you need a transfer water pump between clean water and pressure washer or is it gravity feed

    • @lspressurewashing
      @lspressurewashing  3 года назад +1

      So the 12v pumps I use (2 of them) are only used for transferring the dirty water into the tote. I have them screwed into the floor of the trailer. Reason I used two is because I was running into the issue of to much water accumulates in the hopper itself while the trash bin is being cleaned. I run a 8gpm Pressure washer that’s linked with a 275 gallon buffer tank which is just gravity feeding itself. Hope that I answered your question.
