I thought his arm must be shot until I saw him throw a Hail Mary moonball for a TD at the end of the first half earlier this season for the Jets. He clearly still has the arm strength, but his mobility is greatly diminished so I guess he's not willing to hold the ball long enough to throw it downfield because he doesn't want to get hit.
This goes to show what a better organization Green Bay is. They dealt with Aaron's BS for years without letting it become a complete circus for the whole team. People be talking about Mr Unlimited’s time in Denver but he don’t get a fair shake. - Russ 1st season in Denver he had UNQUALIFIED head coach in Hacket. We’ve seen Hackets poor play calling and play design with the Jets being demoted 1/4 way through this season. So he had to learn a new offense that was trash and with unqualified head coach - Russ 2nd season he got Sean Peyton, and offensive guru, history as a great head coach, a superbowl winning head coach. If you look at Russ’s numbers they weren’t great but they were respectable, boarderline pro bowl level. Again, new head coach, totally new and a very sophisticated and complex offense. - just look around the league and the history of the league. It’s not easy to get a new head coach and learn a totally new offense in the season. Just look at how many rookies get ruined damn near every season to do bad coaching, bad roster and bad play calling. - it wasn’t all Russ’s fault in Denever, not even half of it was Russ’s fault. - I think where it went wrong with Russ, was because of his “cheesy” personality and probably the biggest reason was his age. Because he wasn’t playing bad. Sean Peyton signed a huge long term contract and wanted a QB he could mold and develop that would fit more to his style of offense and pair with to have a long career. Which it totally get, understand and it makes sense since Russ was entering the twilight of his career. It was simply bad situation and a bad fit. - also let me be clear, I’m not a Russel Wilson fan, but I’m not a Russel Wilson hater either. Also I’m a Steelers fan and I DID NOT want Russ to be on the Steelers roster and I don’t want him to be a Steeler long term. However I think it was a reasonable good risk because of his contract situation and it didn’t really cost the Steelers anything. However Russ has shown and proved that he isn’t washed up and has some left in the tank. I’m not saying he is great or top 10 but he is still good and has 6 games left to learn and improve. Also the difference in coaching style between Peyton and Tomlin are different and organizationally the Broncos and Steelers are different as well. Historically Tomlin is a much better head coach than Sean Peyton.

I'm pretty sure at this point, half way through the season we can dispel the myth/narrative that Aaron Rodgers had any significant power. Was he completely powerless? No. I believe Woody did the trade via JD to get Devante there because Rodgers had asked them to try. But I think we can see and agree now that Woody Johnson categorically did not say "yes sir Mr. Rodgers" to everything Aaron said or asked for. He did not consult Rodgers on firing Robert Saleh. Aaron did not give the Don Rodgers head nod of approval to have him "wacked." Woody fired him because he was embarrassed to lose to the Vikes in front of his diplomatic staff friends. And Woody also did not give Aaron his request (if he even had asked) to have Nat Hackett as the interim head coach. And honestly looking at the coaching staff, Hackett was the only one who made sense because he was the only one with HC experience as bad as it was. I think given his reported attention to Twitter/X that Woody sees all the "Aaron runs the whole thing lawls" reports in the media and does all he can without saying to say it's his show and he's running this. He's Jerry Jones without Media Availability. So while Rodgers had some say, I think the reports about wanting him benched and the push pull to get him off the field should show that Aaron is along for the ride like everyone else. Just like Joe Douglas before him, Rodgers serves at the pleasure of the owner.

I guess it's not ALL his fault, but they did let him build their offensive roster and have play calling duties. He also skipped out on OTAs when he could have been ironing out shit with a team he had only played 4 snaps for. You should especially be at all OTAs if you are older, coming off an injury, and can't play like you used to.

People be talking about Mr Unlimited’s time in Denver but he don’t get a fair shake.
- Russ 1st season in Denver he had UNQUALIFIED head coach in Hacket. We’ve seen Hackets poor play calling and play design with the Jets being demoted 1/4 way through this season. So he had to learn a new offense that was trash and with unqualified head coach
- Russ 2nd season he got Sean Peyton, and offensive guru, history as a great head coach, a superbowl winning head coach. If you look at Russ’s numbers they weren’t great but they were respectable, boarderline pro bowl level. Again, new head coach, totally new and a very sophisticated and complex offense.
- just look around the league and the history of the league. It’s not easy to get a new head coach and learn a totally new offense in the season. Just look at how many rookies get ruined damn near every season to do bad coaching, bad roster and bad play calling.
- it wasn’t all Russ’s fault in Denever, not even half of it was Russ’s fault.
- I think where it went wrong with Russ, was because of his “cheesy” personality and probably the biggest reason was his age. Because he wasn’t playing bad. Sean Peyton signed a huge long term contract and wanted a QB he could mold and develop that would fit more to his style of offense and pair with to have a long career. Which it totally get, understand and it makes sense since Russ was entering the twilight of his career. It was simply bad situation and a bad fit.
- also let me be clear, I’m not a Russel Wilson fan, but I’m not a Russel Wilson hater either. Also I’m a Steelers fan and I DID NOT want Russ to be on the Steelers roster and I don’t want him to be a Steeler long term. However I think it was a reasonable good risk because of his contract situation and it didn’t really cost the Steelers anything. However Russ has shown and proved that he isn’t washed up and has some left in the tank. I’m not saying he is great or top 10 but he is still good and has 6 games left to learn and improve. Also the difference in coaching style between Peyton and Tomlin are different and organizationally the Broncos and Steelers are different as well. Historically Tomlin is a much better head coach than Sean Peyton.
