Andy was raised Catholic if I remember correctly, though it seemed he did have problems due to the "contrasts" between his beliefs and his style and was bullied for it. Many songs of BVB have parts in which it's reflected the way Andy (and presumably the others as well) were raised into religious beliefs and the bullying and "emo phase" they went through, because of these, most BVB songs are kind of motivational songs for the bullied and depressed, for the lonely ones, and the misunderstood, while keeping in them a bit of religious, either by encouraging people to fight their demons or telling them to not lose faith. I don't think any BVB song has straight up told people to believe in God or to follow a religion, but they do say that you should fight for what's right, reject the lies of the churches, the government, and their manipulations, and to remain strong and faithful, if not to a divine entity, then be faithful to yourself and those like you. I was raised catholic and even though I don't consider myself catholic, I'm still a believer in God, and I enjoy BVB since I first heard their music back in high school when I was like 14 years old (over a decade now), so certain lyrics resonate with my beliefs and my faith and made me appreciate and like this band, even more, it also has helped me when my depression had hit me hard in the past, between BVB and God, I'm fairly okay now, and keep going.
