The original choreographer Anze is a part of 1milliom dance studio and he himself said that that entire sequence was made for ATEEZ. Not just the gliding move. Bata did not just copy a move, he copied an entire sequence. That's the problem here.
We know the truth. Who has eyes, those people can see, that Vata's dance move is not just similar, it is absolutely identical with Ateez's. So we will say the name of Ateez, not Vata. He is disrespect, maybe he is ok danser, but not a good people. It's plagiarism, but he has no respect and no conscience to admit it 🤷🏼♀️ Atiny will always support our Ateez! ✊🏻
We try to avoid debate, and mention that it looks similar and first say It's very similar to Ateez.. Then another says it doesn't even look like it and says again that Atiny is a fandom who gets offended by little things. Even when I write on tiktok. I say that's one of the reasons why so many people become Atiny because the song SAY MY NAME is so deep in my memory. Others said that I was too excited for such little things and said that I was too stupid not to understand what basic dancing is. So I was considered a fool for defending Ateez. I love their work and when they are insulted I feel sad not angry. But they said I was too weak to be sad. If I get angry they will say I'm a Toxic fan. How hard is it to like a quality artist? Will they turn a blind eye and ear if quality is defeated by popularity? I am surprised. I'm not a person who understands dance or music, I'm just an ordinary music lover. Don't say I'm exaggerating but it's just that I'm too tired to explain at length about my disappointment because WDB imitates Ateez and then a lot of people look down on Ateez.
I'm a dancer and I understand both sides. It's true that it's a common move but if ateez choreographers felt like it was their own trademark then I understand their reaction. In the dance community, this type of respect is very important. I know the choreographer of ateez is American and the guy who "copied" it on TV is Korean, which is why in the community people were speaking badly of Korean dancers and how they always copy America. But I don't think that's necessarily true either though. Maybe he just liked the move. Though I don't see why are fans bringing ateez into it since they're just performing this move in one of their song. It's not like they created it so if the guy really did biting on this move then it's a disrespect to the choreographer not to Ateez. I was glad Ateez showed support to their choreographer though by speaking out on the biting. It shows singers are starting to respect the dance community more and vice versa.
Wooyoung was the first to call it out if I recall. And that was only when people were asking them why they were doing the “new thing challenge” in their choreo. Choreo they’ve had for several years. The choreographers didn’t step in until Vata wanted to plead ignorance and not apologize. All they were asking for was credit to the original dancers/choreographers. Vata apparently felt that was too hard of an ask.
Personally, the only issue I have is Vata claiming that he created the move when its clearly been around before SMF. To all the people I've seen saying Ateez didn't create it either, I know but it's just that Ateez is the only group in KPop that I've seen use the gliding move and so it's valid to say that Ateez used it first within Kpop choreo and that was BEFORE Vata claimed to have created it. *The point being that the SMN glide is used as proof to expose Vata's lie in saying he created the move (within Korean media because realistically neither of them, Ateez or Vata, created it)* Justice for Ateez Edited: Dec 2nd if anyone decides to fight me
When I saw this trend I saw exactly the similarity with Ateez song 'say my name' and I thought they would talk with their choreographers or at least give the credits to the group. It's a shame they're still pretending they're the original creators, I can't see this trend anymore without feeling disgusted.
This is not likely to be forgotten.. people can forget but it is still written in the folds of ateez history ...History where a friend.. no no no a buch of 'friends' betrays a friendship.. that man And his friends can life normaly in they country but internasionaly they just a plagiarisme.. That fact cannot be erased.. atiny always gonna Remember it.
People will cast shade on Kpop yet give 'no fu%#s' when it come to claiming a dance that even this Maori girl in New Zealand recognized straight away that it's the choreography Ateez used in 'Say My Name' attributed to Wooyong #Acknowledge_your_source #Imitation_is_the_greatest_form_of_flattery #1_millon_Vata_BITERS
Not them being shameless about it I stopped supporting them after this, Ateez is the type of artists we need in the industry, ACTUAL artists and they get disrespected so much when they are one of the most respected artists Dont people feel no shame ??
If it was a group from one of the big three the fans or even casual listeners would go crazy on how their group was plagiarised (which is a good thing) but now those freaking fans are saying how this is (WHICH CLEARLY IS PLAGIARISM) a common move when its nothing like the ones shown at the start...make it make sense...y'all foul for not treating one of the most talented groups right 🥲
If it was one or two people claiming that the move looks similar, I could have understand but they are literally claiming that thousand of people are blind and idiots!! Do they really think we cannot see the similarity?? Or do they thing we are that unintelligent and gullible that they will gaslight us and we will be gaslighted 😒😒
If it a common dance like what 1million had say... Then who the fuck else dance to that signature dance in this kpop industry??? I never seen someone dance this signature dance in 1million.. #justiceforATEEZ #AteezAnzeownit
I just don't understand what they want to prove man like atiny never do anything bad to others or say anything bad to others or other artists nor ateez ever do anything like that then what's others problem man i don't understand like it's a simple thing why they can't able to understand this that we don't care if u copied or not but why u said u created it when u didn't just tell the truth na why it's so hard to tell the truth when it's not for u to copy bro.
The only thing that needs to be clear for most atiny tho is, ATEEZ THEMSELVES DID NOT CREATE THIS DANCE MOVE best you could argue is it's made for them by the choreographer. I'm speaking as a hardcore atiny during this era I watch every content ATEEZ related and I did stumble upon the original choreographer which I believe their name is Anze and has worked with ateez on their several songs as well, for example the wave choreography. Their statement about this situation is actually what I'm waiting for (if they hadn't already yet). It needs to be clear cause it's cringy seeing comments of people saying "stealing from ATEEZ" when it's not their choreography, it's astonishing the ammount of people who jumps in this conflict not knowing that detail
Isn't this dance partly owned by Ateez as it was created specifically for their song and bought by the company? The original choreographer Anze Scrube supported Ateez and said that the sequence was copied, and if you are inspired by someone the least you can do is give credits. It's exactly the same sequence: steps, hands position - one leads, the other on the hip; body - leaning back; head - to the side, not forward; direction and specific path of movement. Also Vata follows the original Say my name choreographers and knows Ateez personally. How likely is a coincidence?
It is super hard to create a choreo with individual moves that no one has seen before- dance has always existed so something entirely new is difficult to produce. What you can do is acknowledge what inspired you (a motorcycle, really- if the move really was as basic as he said, why make this excuse?), give them credit. ALL dancers do this if asked. But the fact that he had the nerve to do the same pace/ path/ everything and say he didn't copy anything- nah, that's where I have a problem.
I’m so disappointed with 1Million, I really like to watch them since I was in high school, but how can they use different dance move as an example? And that dancer who still disregarded Idol, I think 4th generation idols now already do their best and do all that crazy, hard, and tiring performance to prove themselves as a performer and artist, what’s wrong with idol doing ‘biting’?! It’s his group choreo and he proud of it.
Entre más intentan justificar que no es una copia más en evidencia se dejan. Parte de ser artista es saber reconocer tus errores. The more they try to justify it, the more obvious it is. Part of be a artist is accept your mistakes and Vata is copying of ATEEZ, they try but is obvious.
The beginning dance moves I see the difference between the slide walk or whatever it's called but the move that's being accused for copying Ateez is the exact same, I don't see the difference like I do with the moves at the start of the video. There is a differ3nce between similarities and copying the exact move claiming its yours first.
No one has ever argued with the original dance moves, from which any version of the choreography is created. But the sequences of movements for each choreographer always differ in details, the problem is that these 2 are exactly the same.
If he wanted to have that move at least give credit instead of claiming I made the move is annoying that people choose to be sides with vata and think is not wrong like dude look at how it is the same
So ateez has this song called say my name in which this is the main move. And in the korean variety show called Street man fighter, vata(1 of the dancers) added this step to his challenge. So people have come out in support of and against him for allegedly plagiarising the move from ateez(incl 1 of the mems of the group as well as the main choreographers of the say my name choreo). Tbvh(I hope I don't get hate for this), but I find that particular move to be common and it could just have struck him to use that sort of moonwalk move to fit the music, and don't think it's that big of a deal. But like me, other people do have the right to form their opinions and disagree w me, like wooyoung from ateez who did the biting sign which represents plagiarism in the dance scene.
Bro these days the slide point dance isnt done during challenges, even in china they're trying not to do that particular move. All these people all over from the world understand and they act like the world revolves around them.
They must have thought that ateez is not as popular as the other groups like blackpink and others and ateez fandom is not as big so we won't be able to know or do anything about the fact that he copied
This is so bad how many times is ateez plagiarized I saw another short there it was Abt music production they copied the chorus as it is literally what's the company how long can atinys protect ateez I know forever but actions should be taken
Yes, all choreographies in this style are made on basic moves, but it's always differ in details for each choregrapher. This is exactly the same sequence: steps, hands position - one leads, the other on the hip; body - leaning back; head - to the side, not forward; direction and specific path of movement. No one has found exactly the same. The original choreographer Anze Scrube supported Ateez and said that the sequence was copied, and if you are inspired by someone the least you can do is give credits. Vata has made varying statements that really riled people up because he was super rude about the situation and fans also found out Vata knows ateez so people were even more annoyed, not really that he "copied" the move but refused to say he took inspiration, trying to claim it as his own
From a neutral POV i think vata has a point since there are so many dance moves that are common and suddenly become trendy and overused, so i think this is one of those scenarios.. plus what do the fans expect him to do, apologise and/or give credits? And what about all these TikTok challenges which are literally trendy moves copied off of many content creators of dance.. Atinys please show me your reason on why this is not accepted
The original choreographer was part of Anze's crew which created this sequence for ATEEZ's Say My Name choreo late in 2018. Three years later, Vata submitted this for an original choreo challenge on SMF. He very clearly did not create it. Then he used it for the New Things dance challenge which resulted in comments under ATEEZ's performances asking why ATEEZ was doing the New Things dance challenge in their stages. BTW, Anze explained the creation of this move on Steezy's channel earlier in the year (before the SMF episode) and came out during this controversy and said that Vata had copied the sequence.
That's actually exactly what fans want, they just wanted him to give credit where it was due, what really stirred the pot tho was his statements made about the situation which were rude for no reason and fans finding out he is friends with ateez themselves which makes people skeptical that it was a coincidence
It's not. The Original choreographer Anze skrube have given a statement about it! Check it out Even if it's a move, you can't make some else's dance challenge as your dance challenge without even giving credit lol

Bruh the gliding car dance is literally a whole choreography, people with actual eyes can tell that! Stop being delusional
Respect ATEEZ Atiny present... Atiny grita basta ya.. Stop Copy kisses from Paraguay Sudamérica Atiny present.
Vata forgot his citations
There is a big difference between one arm movement being similar and all body movements being the same. We are not stupid. We can understand.
Vata said he created the move when he clearly did not.
*The point being that the SMN glide is used as proof to expose Vata's lie in saying he created the move (within Korean media because realistically neither of them, Ateez or Vata, created it)*
Justice for Ateez
Edited: Dec 2nd if anyone decides to fight me
If this is a huge case, we need to start talking from the kpop history.
If u say inspired..I might say ok...but created it's like wth,.. I first saw the move after watching say my name.,.
People will cast shade on Kpop yet give 'no fu%#s' when it come to claiming a dance that even this Maori girl in New Zealand recognized straight away that it's the choreography Ateez used in 'Say My Name' attributed to Wooyong

Not them being shameless about it
I stopped supporting them after this, Ateez is the type of artists we need in the industry, ACTUAL artists and they get disrespected so much when they are one of the most respected artists
Dont people feel no shame ??
If it was a group from one of the big three the fans or even casual listeners would go crazy on how their group was plagiarised (which is a good thing) but now those freaking fans are saying how this is (WHICH CLEARLY IS PLAGIARISM) a common move when its nothing like the ones shown at the start...make it make sense...y'all foul for not treating one of the most talented groups right 🥲
Lo gracioso es que AZ tiene un fandom en su totalidad extranjera, no se dejan llevar tanto por los rumores como en Corea y los dejan ser "personas" :)
The traitor friend of San
I’m not even an atiny but this is just too much😤
The only thing that needs to be clear for most atiny tho is, ATEEZ THEMSELVES DID NOT CREATE THIS DANCE MOVE best you could argue is it's made for them by the choreographer.
Lol the painfully obvious copy. It wasn't even a single pose or dance move, it was a WHOLE sequence and yet he thought no would notice.
"Simple and basic move" and proceeds to copy the main killing part of the choreo like
I’m so disappointed with 1Million, I really like to watch them since I was in high school, but how can they use different dance move as an example? And that dancer who still disregarded Idol, I think 4th generation idols now already do their best and do all that crazy, hard, and tiring performance to prove themselves as a performer and artist, what’s wrong with idol doing ‘biting’?! It’s his group choreo and he proud of it.
They do look alike…those are the same moves really
Credits to vata fot following allong with yunho so well💀
If ATEEZ’s choreographers themselves are speaking out that’s enough to know that it was copied 😭
I'm not a dancer so I don't know but dont you think the footwork thingy looks like front ward moonwalk?
Entre más intentan justificar que no es una copia más en evidencia se dejan. Parte de ser artista es saber reconocer tus errores. The more they try to justify it, the more obvious it is. Part of be a artist is accept your mistakes and Vata is copying of ATEEZ, they try but is obvious.
The beginning dance moves I see the difference between the slide walk or whatever it's called but the move that's being accused for copying Ateez is the exact same, I don't see the difference like I do with the moves at the start of the video. There is a differ3nce between similarities and copying the exact move claiming its yours first.
i literally hate other artists copying kq's work just because they are a small company :/
The 1st person I saw do that was MJ
No one has ever argued with the original dance moves, from which any version of the choreography is created. But the sequences of movements for each choreographer always differ in details, the problem is that these 2 are exactly the same.
Exactly 💯 well said
When will these people realize that they don’t have to get cancelled by the planet if they give credit
Seeing this after Ateez got plagiarized again😭😭😭😭😭
We're not stupid, you're for trying so hard to show what is clear...
If he wanted to have that move at least give credit instead of claiming I made the move is annoying that people choose to be sides with vata and think is not wrong like dude look at how it is the same
Bruh those videos were similar but vata copied the exact choreo
Let's be honest if this was BTS they wouldn't be like this ....but since it's ateez they say stuff like ateez are being dramatic 🧍♀️
Can someone tell me what happened I am kinda new in K-pop 😅?
@@sim_dtch Ouu thank you so much ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Bro these days the slide point dance isnt done during challenges, even in china they're trying not to do that particular move. All these people all over from the world understand and they act like the world revolves around them.
he was reaching with that evidence and it’s embarrassing
They must have thought that ateez is not as popular as the other groups like blackpink and others and ateez fandom is not as big so we won't be able to know or do anything about the fact that he copied
whats the name of the songggggggg
The Leaders- Ateez
I agree with the dancer .
I honestly don't understand like I don't think there is explaining to do here.
I don't get why but it really doesn't seems common to me??
Seriously how can they just copy and not apolozise
So damn disappointed
This is so bad how many times is ateez plagiarized I saw another short there it was Abt music production they copied the chorus as it is literally what's the company how long can atinys protect ateez I know forever but actions should be taken
Its not similar but its like copy paste some dared to call ateez copycats like wtf their song released before smf
a rapper just copies ateez mvs
it’s a dance move? isn’t choreography just made with pre made moves?
Yes, all choreographies in this style are made on basic moves, but it's always differ in details for each choregrapher. This is exactly the same sequence: steps, hands position - one leads, the other on the hip; body - leaning back; head - to the side, not forward; direction and specific path of movement. No one has found exactly the same.

Ateez has been plagiarized 5 or 6 times now. When will it end?
It’s not plagiarism if you do it better kids. 🤣
if u have eyes and brain u can see how exactly vata copied ateez while the other moves were so diff.
this is not tge first time ateez got plagiarised
stop copying ateez!!!!
What's up with all you non dancers getting worked up. Every dance move has been inspired by previous versions. Nobody claims dance moves.
Nobody claims basic moves created a long time ago. But all dances in this style always differ in details for each choreographer. Here is exactly the same sequence: steps, hands position - one leads, the other on the hip; body - leaning back; head - to the side, not forward; direction and specific path of movement.
That's actually exactly what fans want, they just wanted him to give credit where it was due, what really stirred the pot tho was his statements made about the situation which were rude for no reason and fans finding out he is friends with ateez themselves which makes people skeptical that it was a coincidence
it is a common dance though
It's not. The Original choreographer Anze skrube have given a statement about it! Check it out
Even if it's a move, you can't make some else's dance challenge as your dance challenge without even giving credit lol
