As a 700xx owner.... I'm keeping mine forever, best all around quad
a lot of people say this, i got mine like a year ago and took it all apart i’m rebuilding/painting everything just want to make it look like new and then take it for a first ride, can’t wait

I absolutely love mine. I have the 2008 as well. If you want to get the tail around, you just need to commit on the throttle and get your butt right over to the side. If she hooks up and you're not positioned right, you will be on two wheels or chucked off. Watching your video makes me want to go jump on mine immediately. Good buy. It's the quad I will never sell.
They run very lean stock. Enough so you really cant ride it w/out boots on. If you guys get one, get a controller. It will save your right calf, life of the motor if tuned lightly, but it will consume a lot more fuel. Hope this helps. Great content!
Bout time, Ive been wondering when it was gonna be ripping. I’ve always wanted to ride one of these. It’s one of the few bikes and quads I’ve never experienced. Hell yeah brother!!
It's not overly loud as well which is great for trail riding 💪👌

These sell for around $5500 to $6500 in my area, what a steal!!! One of the big benefits to the IRS is the much higher ground clearance over other sport quads.

Glad you got one to finally ride. I bought mine 4 years ago. Haven't had to do much other than regular maintenance and fluids. Oh did have to replace the rear CV axle boots. But they're great quads. I can't believe they only made them for a few years. Won't ever sell mine. Was gonna get a raptor, but glad I went with the independent rear suspension especially when I'm riding the trails!
Have you ridden really rocky trails in New York it’s mainly rocks curious on how it does
@@BrendanMeara I've rode some really rocky trails in the Rocky Mountains in South Dakota and it did great. A lot better than any solid rear axle quad would of done.

Those are absolutely fantastic atvs. Kinda wish I never sold mine. But it just sat around once I went to a sxs. Bought it brand new for 4500.
You've had a couple I really wanted to try. This is definately another. Want to see how that independant rear end does. That's cool.
You need to try out an Outlaw 525 with IRS not the 500 but the 525 it’s a ktm motor and they are absolute beasts

I have a 239cc timber wolf like the one you got the other day with a half exhaust only difference is mine is 2x4 and a lot more manky!!! But it's a beast just keeps running and works flippen hard on our farm!

Those things do rip n ride nice...i rode one that was a 786 big bore or w.e size it was...it was the biggest u could get...stroked and big piston...was nice for sure

As previous Grizzly 600 owner the beast needs a ton of power to start (displacement on a single) I think that might help it start bette4.

Trx700 could have been competitive and actually soldif they just stuck with a solid rear axle .... and it wasn't so ugly
The final drive in the midle of the motor not good and chain drivin not shaft with that power is just a money pit if something happens
Hey my dude you gotta keep that 700 or the other one cuz you ride that thing with no fear wide open just about. What I'm saying is you seem very comfortable on one of them. With jumping trail riding and I know your gonna ring that thing out on the top speed run coming up. Keep up the good content my dude and God bless.
Usually when you blow a motor that bad the crank ends up bending slightly, can you put a new topping on it and it’s going to destroy the top and again eventually

I also recommend that if you're doing a long, rocky, bumpy, trail ride, to drop your tire pressures a bit. It will be one of the smoothest rides you've ever taken. If you happen to unseat a bead or two in your testing, you can still ride easily with your weight all to one side.
My buddy bought one new in 2009, & put 4 new elka shocks on it. Ive still to this day never rode a more smoother quad. It was unreal, & i still compare everything i ride to that machine
A steal at that price. Around me $8k. It rips and the suspension is perfect. I hope you get the big bore kit for the other one if that guy keeps his word.
seems like it was a great deal,hopefully you do get the parts for the other one too,that way you can ride 1 and have a back up quad,I alternate between my suzuki ltz400,ltz462 and rmz450,but I still have more quads and another dirt bike to fix,in my opinion it's more fun that way

I personally never pay in advance for anything from a random guy, only the shipping cost if he really wants that. I never had a similar problem honestly but heard too much about these kind of people.
If you can find a seller with same parts choice ebay because if parts are incorrect or not sent they return your money the few times it happened to me they solved issue in timely manner
Loved the fact Honda took a chance with this one. I've beaten a couple on my Ds650 and love the ergos on my DS, never had a chance to try one of these. One day!

Hey Joe why don't you just have the starter that is in the hovercraft rebuilt you said you can't find a starter for it you have the one that's in it there are places that rebuild them just a thought

It's a fun quad but sometimes they run lean and get hot because of the fuel filter.
I want to see you rebuild a kfx450r quad your the man !!!! Get it up never gets old !!!
It looks like you're missing the air vents that mount in front of the radiator. Be sure to get/install them before riding hard on a hot summer day. They just pop in and out so you can clean the radiator. No tools required.

That is a bad ass quad!! Ive been waiting to see you get a canam renegade on the channel. A real quad!! I have them myself. Would love to see you get into them and start working on them!!!!
Looks like you finally got a good one. very nice. I have seen on RUclips shorts 2 time there is a group of people I believe in Minnesota that race hover
crafts maybe looks them up. Maybe one of them can help you find a starter for your hovercraft best of luck.
The only reason people blow those up so much is they will hold them wide open constantly, if you go down the road hold it to the rug the when it's wound out let off the throttle just a little!! It helps in the long run, stock for stock literally the fastest quad in a straight line out even a 700 raptor can't out run them on top end! Thay are very comfortable to ride but suck on a track handling wise if you turn the preload nuts all the way to the bottom of the threads on the back it will handle way better! If you not racing then it won't matter honestly, I've had 2, 700xxs 4, raptor 660s,1 700 raptor,4 yxz 450s,2 450rs,1ltr 450,1 kfx 450,1 ds 450,1 cannondail 440,3 lt 250rs,1 500 zilla,3 banshees and quite a few others!
The kfx700 is v twin I had one put dual exhaust on it It sound like a Harley in woods lol But it was a fast quad just was heavy

I sold mine to a buddy and can still ride it when I want but nothing beats the 700xx.
Paid 3800 for mine in Massachusetts. Built the motor to about 70hp. I'm getting a concerning clicking from top end, I think faulty decomp. So when you put in your cam, make sure to check the decomp. And I just blew my starter clutch...
Also is missing the rad guard
Seems like a good candidate for a street quad..tacky tires…nitrous….go crazy..seems safer than riding it in the woods..

Can you make some trails in the woods now wit the machine you have now and explore more of the land and maybe put up some game camera’s see what’s roaming the land there’s gotta be some nice buck in your area love your content and watch it every day new or old vids which ever but love you finally took a break an got a much needed ride in .

Good deal, great Quad! I personally have a love hate relationship with these big bore 4stroke. Yes they start and usually run decent.. But they are so Heavy!! Even my 87" Zilla was lighter and felt more nibble?! 🤷 Had a 660 raptor, and a Blaster as a kid. Also grew up on the 250r quads and a Banshee.. Must be bias because I prefer the old 2strokes?
I owned a Raptor 700R when these came out and if it wasnt for the weight I would have made the switch. These things were soo cool but I did love the Raptor.
Nice quad, be careful it fast and heavy. Your working capital is amazing. Along with your dream house and two other property's I'm jealous keep up the great work and vireos.

I have a suggestion you know planting season is coming Y not put 3 4x4s across your trailer and and prop your Hover craft in the air some way and back under it and than set it down Remember I’m 71 and I’ve had to do many things by myself and I just do it the easiest way I can thank you for sharing you videos plus Vinny is the cutest dog

I just picked up an 08 in basically like new condition last month for $5100 which is a good price in my area. The thing is an absolute beast, but she pushes badly in the corners at speed and doesn't like doing cookies compared to a straight axle quad. My kfx700 will do cookies until it runs out of fuel, but the is honda rides smoother over the bumps and has extra ground clearance which is good on the trails. Would like to find an aftermarket sway bar to test out on the 700xx, I hear it makes them corner more like a straight axle quad.

@@TexasRedneck think doughnut but there is no hole missing in the center. You spin on the center axis of the machine. Like if you were to put the quad on a pole and spin it. That’s a cookie.

Quads are fun and just about anyone can ride them. That is why they are death traps only superseded by the 3 wheelers. Monster is right as this quad weighs over 500lbs and will tumble.
E been riding both quads and dirt bikes since I was a kid. I'm 50 btw. I've never hurt myself on a quad but I've broke a few bones on a bike.

They're bad ass for sure, ride my 660r with 686 in it. It'll scare the hell out of you.its got all 4 wheels balanced on it cause it'll Rev out at 105 in 1/4 mile. Like nothing.
So I just watched the first video from about 5 months ago on this bike. It really stinks the seller totally bald faced lied about putting a scope down it, unless he was inebriated there's NO WAY he didn't see a VALVE on that piston. So sad. I went looking to see if you ever got the parts to fix it. I sure hope the guy you bought the stuff form follows through, it sucks when people aren't real, when they steal from you. Thanks so much for making the great content, takes me back to my younger years! (I'm only 44 now but I have kids and so much going on no time to mess with toys anymore)
