Hats off to you for doing it yourself Stephan! 😁👍 For the price, I would have been too nervous. Not to mention I don't have the patience for that kind of intricate work. *Kudos my friend.* Take care, be safe and happy wrenching 🔧🔩
I’m really enjoying your channel. You may have done some more stretching already, but back in 1975-76 I used to install vinyl tops. We used a heat gun with low heat to help flatten the extra material. The first one looks really good!!!
Hello and thank you so much. I did quite a bit of pulling on the material but I did not use heat. This was totally my first time attempting something like this. One seat is nicer than the other lol. I think if had longer hog ring plyers it would have gone smoother. Was a good experience, can only learn by doing
... no close enough to the sun. That's funny. A regular hairdryer can work wonders. DO NOT use a heat gun. Whew! I'm doing highbacks with a headrest. But now I see how it's done. I was curious... how many colourful words did you use while in fast speed ??? I'm hoping mine comes out at least half as good as yours. Thanks again my mentor.
@@pstreetgarage7304 naw... I just know what I don't know. Your " figure it out skills" are top knotch. I'm just learning from a friend. I can't even say how many videos I've watched on this.
Hey my friend good to hear from you. Yes it was my first time and I struggled for sure with the first one. Second one went much better. If you need foam I would get it from a craft store or hardware store and shape it. The pre made stuff is just so expensive.
I almost gave up at one point...... Just couldn't get my hand and the stupid hog ring pliers in deep enough to pinch the heavy wire.....😡😡😡. I did get it done. Second seat went twice as fast and looks better lol
Awesome looks really nice !!
Thank you my friend !!!
Turned out great, cool !!
Thank you Sir !!! Was a steep learning curve.

Thank you Zane !! It was not easy for sure. Second one turned out better. 👍👍👍

@@pstreetgarage7304 I learned by watching 👍 thanks!!
Looks good PSG. Thanks for sharing. Wouldn't want to arm wrestle the guy who did these seats for a living at Ford 💪💪💪🤔
Omg No !! And the old hog rings are way heavier than the new ones. Good forearm workout lol.
I gotta go take an Aleve. You got muh hands hurtin’ just watchin’ that process 😂😂. Looks pretty good to me😉
Thanks man !! Was a serious pain but got It done..... Like my body work...... Looks good from 10 ft 🤣🤣🤣
This looks really good dude. Use a steamer to relax the vinyl and get rid of the wrinkles.
Hey Al, thanks. Was a steep learning curve. Second one turned out way better. Of course 😆
@pstreetgarage7304 I am sure it did. You gonna have a sweet ride man.
@@LimitedEditionMotorcars I appreciate that !!!! Especially since you deal in exotic cars and not old bangers 😂🤣
@@pstreetgarage7304 I love old bangers. Exotic cars are for guys with small weiners 😁
@@LimitedEditionMotorcars Haha. Love it 👍
Actually, you did very well for a first time attempt. That definitely doesn't look like an easy job.
Thank you Sir! It was not easy at all. I really got frustrated a couple of times, but I got it done in the end. It's ok from a few feet back lol
They look terrific forget about the wrinkles that's the nature of vinyl and leather.............
Hey Anthony !!! Always good to hear from you. Thanks !!

Hey Michael. Flag I'm your guinnea pig lol. It was hellish but I got it done. The second seat is way better of course. Talk about a learning curve !!
