I really like the anti fragility mentality. Going in with a bad mindset ruins the fun and your self confidence. Basketball is meant to be played in a way where you show your true self and not limit yourself under a invisible wall. Also nice connection to dragon ball never thought of it that way 😁.
One thing I've noticed too, in the course of basketball games, is that people will use this on the fly and you can use this to your advantage. If you steal the ball from someone after an attempted crossover, a good player won't do that again, and will likely do something different. Therefore, you can lock them up better because you know their options get limited as time progresses. Maybe next time they bait you with an in and out dribble, but since you already know it's coming, you can respond to it better. Same thing can be applied to defending pick and rolls, iso plays, and a whole lot more, even in offensive situations.
Im young but dragon ball z was also my favourite show growing up. The show had lots of lessons to learn and amazing characters. Vegeta was by far my favourite because of the overall way he was mans work ethic and heart was amazing he legit never gives up
growing up dragon ball z was favorite anime seeing this video made made me believe that dragon ball z can make a connection with basketball. Thanks for this amazing video I feel so inspire.
Fantastic job of taking the idea of Anti Fragility and relating it to Dragon Ball Z. I’ll try and use this mindset for now on in basketball and in every day scenarios.
I’ve always had this mentality. I always want to get better. For example, once someone stole the ball from me, I worked on improving that. I always want to improve. I never give up, I simply get better.
If Goku and Vegeta were basketball players then, Goku is the player who wants to learn and enjoy the game although, he wants to win. The setbacks don't get to him, he goes back to study and gets better and stronger. Vegeta on the other hand is a player who only thinks about being the best player on his team, he wants the most stats, points and etc. He has a great work ethic but, his motivation is put into scoring and being better than Goku. Anytime he doesn't get more points, playing time and etc his confidence drops.
Deep game coach Taylor said the best way to solve my problem is to help others I noticed my team mates are having problems with their mental game I have started helping some but more keep coming I am not comfortable with that because I feel I might go off track
If you're helping other people only because you want to solve your own problems, then you're still focusing on your own problems and so you aren't actually going to solve them. The only way for this to truly work would be to genuinely help others for the sake of helping others. That doesn't mean you ignore your own problems and only focus on other people; it just means that you do not avoid helping other people when you have the opportunity to. Simon DeepGame
Great content coach tylor as usual‚ i'm btw going through the same thing of not playing the way i wanted to and having that lil sound inside my head of "you never gon be the player you always wished to be" and it's so frustrating but i shouldn't listen to that voice but instead learn from my mistakes and work on new things that i understanded today i need in my game. Btw coach i have a question can i send an email? You can even talk abt it in a video it's very interesting
Call me weird but i can relate this too from an episode of samurai x. when sanosouke first fought hajime saito, for all who have watched the show you know that it was beatdown not only once but twice the second was more of an insult cause saito beat sanosouke with bare fists something sanosouke was good at. What im trying to get at as that you can only train so hard but if the level of your opponents does not provide with the enough stimulus for you to grow then all that training would be for nothing, Iron sharpens Iron. Seeking out skilled opponents is the way to up your game.
One time my coach said “What you do in practice is what you do in game.” “Including, not playing if you don’t show up to practice.” Trust me it’s going to be hard to show up but, be the bigger man in going no matter what! Believe me because I haven’t missed a practice for 5 years.
Me too late 90s early 2000s wwe dragonball z no spoilers couldn't Binge watch only got 1 to 2 episodes day just hated when they replayed the series back before the last episode lol
@@DeepGameBasketball yes..But I ment the mentality what vegeta has.Vegeta trains oll day long and always want to get better and pushs himself to exhaustion and Goku trains of course also very hard but has time für the famaly and he is like the nice guy like Lebron and vegeta the „bad“ guy like Kobe.
