Thank you for these wonderful comments; My name is Kamal, and yes Billy did introduce me as having gone to Yale. However, Billy saw my performance as the Wiz in San Francisco and remembered I had sung with his wife in the Opera dept. of Mannes College. I left the Wiz for three months to tour with Billy. We did do Toad's place. It's nice to be remembered.
Awesome song without question one of wjzz's best songs ever played in the motor city. We the people of dtrt will never forget, thanks and thanks some more, For this song will last forever here in DETROIT....
I used to listen to this after midnite in Chicago WBMX and would wait for this awesome vocal!! At the time I thought Billy was the singer! Kenneth, what a talent!
I love this song. When George Duke passed, I thought about this tune. For some reason I thought it was a George Duke and Cobham tune. So I tried to google it but no luck. Today, I put the title again with Herbie Hancock. It came up with Billy Cobham,,,Yaaaaa. I was beginning to think I made this beautiful tune up in my head..This song is just soo cool. We used to listen to this at Southern University, a bunch of musicians and me a (vocalist). Kenneth your voice is amazing...I'm originally from Detroit, and WJZZ, was the bomb, they played the best tunes..
I had the Pleasure of watching this song performed LIVE at TOAD's PLACE in NEW HAVEN , CT. If I remember correctly , Billy C. introduced this vocalist as a student from YALE UNIVERSITY......... but whether or not this was true / what a MAGICAL VOICE......ALWAYS to be REMEMBERED !!
Inspirational masterpiece Brothers Scott & Cobham. Taped this on a TDK90 back in 1987 and been on a quest to find it ever since to no avail. I've carried that cassette over many countries for many years praying it would stand the test of time until I could find this musical and vocal masterpiece. The universe returned my prayer one day last week when my kids Shazam'd it ! Thank your for giving us the pleasure of Bolinas which I now have on rotation without fear, for life.
Wow!!!!,,,, I've been searching for this for years,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,(Pure bliss) this used to be played on WJZZ in Detroit when i was younger and fell in love with the Jazz Giant,,,cant get enough,,,,,,,,,,,
ist heard this song in college at release of album in the 70's, it is still relevant today.it sets a mood that is incomparable,a nice recreational drive on any sunny afternoon to relax to.
So glad to see this on RUclips! Kamal always loved your vocals on this song! This song came along at a turning point in my life! Thanks for the upload!
Kenny... This has been and continues to be one of my all-time favorite tracks. Just so beautiful and elegantly performed by yourself and the entire ensemble. Of course, Billy with his sweet embellishments only make the song that much more sumptuous. I love you guys and wish you and your family only blessings and more love, forever. Thank you. jsm
I cry tears of joy when I hear this beautiful song

Bought this album shortly after it was released - on my 16th birthday. Get a high every time I listen to it!
Randy Jackson, of American Idol fame , played bass on this lovely tune!
Wow, he sounds awesome on this track.
