How to cook tofu if you can't watch hear the audio or too lazy to watch:
    1) Turn skillet on med heat
    2) Lil bit of refined coconut oil (extra virgin one will make tofu absorb it's taste)
    3) Throw tofu cuts on and throw a little bit of sea salt, pepper, paprika (more spices later, on other side when you turn it around)
    4) Cook for 10 min, also put a plate or something on top, so it will push it down a lil bit (make sure you don't use anything with rubber, etc) (watch the hands when you go turn it around, it gets hot)
    5) After 10 min, turn around and put more sea salt, chilli powder and little bit of cumin. (optional) put some hot sauce. I'm going to try sweet chilli sauce today.
    6) After putting the spices on, leave for around 3-4 min only.
    7) Turn it over again (back to first side you cooked on), and turn off the skillet and just let it sit until it cools off.
    8) Eat it. (you can put it in the refrigerator and it will make it into perfect strips)

So I'm beyond thrilled because I just bought tofu...same one you showed...and I had no idea what to do with it. As I googled, I saw all these complicated recipes, freezing it and since I am not a cook, I was not a happy camper. NOW I know what to do. And I like the fact that I can make it all at once and then put the rest in the fridge for the week....and there are no fancy recipes. I'm not a cook and don't follow recipes...have no interest really. But I do like to eat healthy so this did the trick for me. I just bought Tempeh too, and I am hoping you have a cooking video just as simple as this one. Kudos and thanks for making it soooo easy!

I used a different variation of this recipe, where instead of cutting it length wise, I cut it just how I cut my spam. And for the seasoning, I used pretty much the same seasoning as the Egg Trick Muffin video from a long time ago. It works and taste wonders.
But not I soak the extra firm tofu in soy sauce, onions, and lemon juice to add in more flavors to it. I recommend giving that a try

This tofu is just like the one from your bibimbap video, and having made that pretty much a staple in my life, I can vouch for how good the tofu is! I used to press my tofu, but the consistency and texture that comes from this method really is the best. Using the fridge-cooled tofu the next day really firms it up nicely

i prefer to marinate in soy sauce ginger etc. then squeeze to drain, cornstarch and flour coat and fry. toss in spicy sauce (like orange sauce or wok sauce) and eat with rice :} another way that works is, squeeze out raw tofu cubes, bake in a small bit of oil and soy sauce until golden on low only at about 300 or less heat for 30 min, then its ready to put into a sauce to finish.

Well, geez. I'm a new-ish vegan who had given up on tofu, and then I did this. Delicious. Thank you.

Sounds great, but I have two questions. 1) Are you saying not to press the tofu first? 2) If I don't want to use coconut oil what other oil do you recommend? Extra virgin olive oil?

I'll try this. Tofu often has a bland (sometimes even revolting) flavour and a really horrible texture. This stuff looks good.
