I definitely think Terrion is being over-officiated. I don’t know how you can watch some of the things that don’t get called (the end zone PI in the Chiefs/Falcons game, the Chiefs/Green Bay game last year where the Green Bay defender literally tackled the Chiefs receiver while the ball was in the air, a lot of the stuff Sauce historically does to be frank) and think it’s fair and balanced.
Corner is the most reputation based position in football. Until a player has been able to establish themselves as "not penalty prone" the refs are going to throw more flags. I also think DK skews how a secondary is reffed for the game. He tends to get away with being physical so the DBs have to match and then they get flags. I know not all were on his covers, but the same refs are watching the whole game and I think it heightens their awareness. Or maybe they feel a need to look fair, so everybody catches the heat.
This has led to my new theory: AG and the defense had nearly flawless games, given the context. The first big play of the game was a fumble that the whole defense ran back half the field. While amazing for momentum (JEREMY) it led to an incredibly short drive and then those same dudes are back on the field. They only gave up 7 in the 1st half. Q3 has the 1 play drive (which is awesome) and the 'hawks have gotten more desperate and had some time to adjust a bit. DK gets flags and there is little a defense can do unless they want to give up TDs. The team kept things in front of them, didn't give up 100 yards rushing, and didn't break overall. Geno and crew don't get held down all game and we got in front of them and the defense slowed them down rather well.
Yea, Erick nailed it. I’ve always believed that the biggest negative effect of being a big-play team is that other teams will stay in the game a lot of times because the D gets gassed.
Gota agree with Erik. Tough to quibble about our 4th rd picks much. The last decent WR i liked was Javon Baker, UCF and he went very early in 4th rd. Other WRs left mostly slot, KR guys. S Jaden Hicks was another guy I liked. But I trust Holmes and the staff to develop Manu and Vaki. More of reshirt yr for them in 2024. For Example - vs Seattle, even with our reshuffled OL Hank had those guys playing well. Awosika looked good. Vaki looked like real find in camp and preseason. With Manu and Vaki, athletic foundation, work ethic are there. Just gonna take time
Terrion Arnold has been in position against wrs every time. If he had 2 ints thru 4 games most people wouldn't care about the penalties. Kirby Joseph last yr had plenty of missed tackles and missed assignments but had ints, this year hes tackling, in the right position, and has ints. Give Arnold some time people, hes definitely looking like the best cb lions have drafted since slay and he needed time too!!!! Love the show guys, miss out on live shows but always catch up on RUclips. Keep up the great work!
Would you be happy if Gibbs had a game like Walker had? I’m not saying the answer is clear cut, but don’t poopoo Walkers game & the impact that those big runs had. The difference between a good run D & and bad one is just one guy missing one playing a handful of times per game. The tackling & run defense were not up to par this game & that’s one reason to be happy the break is now, because that really needs to be addressed if this team is going to accomplish its goals for the year

Maybe fox news confused them on what "fair and balanced" actually means lol
Lol He's all over the receivers. There's no conspiracy.
@@thomasjerry652 You read these comments and came back with conspiracy? lol indeed
The Lions offense only had the ball for 5 of the first 21 minutes. The defense did look exhausted to me

Playing the game of who a team could’ve picked is a pointless exercise
guys love the show but this is an audio medium. water, lozenge, cough button, something. please.
Sorry, the cold is going around these days. This was a particularly nasty one. Lasted 2 weeks, but I'm finally over it.
