There's a huge winter show season there for dressage and hunter/jumper (WEF). Plus polo and other sports too! But it's also a place where you are only going to spend winters with your horses, and it's a place where you are going to have the 200k upper level show horses whom you really don't want to turn out. There is very little space for turnout as a rule because the horses aren't treated like actual horses. (To be clear here I'm not saying I agree with this type of treatment. These are the types of places where Bill Gates and Jessica Springsteen have their homes, and some of the neighborhoods even come with private air strips for your jets. Living in Wellington isn't the typical day to day average horse person life - this is upper class wealthy equestrian life. It's standard for people to drive their golf carts places, including the show venue, which they like to be able to just hack over to on bridle paths, instead of a car.

I saw that someone said that horses don't permanently live there but stay there when attending competitions at the local venue. If so, at least they can have some turnout which I doubt they'd get in showground accommodation 🤷
Wow, interesting. It's a beautiful property, very clean and organized, and pretty fancy. But like others have said, you would expect an indoor arena for that price. I wonder why they didn't have one.
This is just a home base for WEF circuit so horses don't need to live on the show grounds for months. Indoors are very rare in Florida. Some properties have covered arenas but they often have pretty nice weather and it's not necessary.
I do like that the boxes are big, the ones where I live are so tiny. And the paddocks look great as well, although a bigger turnout area for a full run would be a great addition.
I’m ashamed to say this but…I’m so jealous! Green with envy! LoL To me this looks like something you would see in heaven because of course horses are everywhere in heaven. 😍
Am I in a time warp or something? I saw this same video last summer when Matt went to Wellington, FL & even wearing the same clothes! I think he was there 4 two, 3 or maybe even 4 weeks & Jesse wasn't with him. So I don't see how this could be a "live" video ...? 🤔 The place is beautiful but "all hat & no cattle" (an old Texas sayin'). 😜
I used to do the Wellington circuit. The people are a bit hard to stomach. Not all of them, but so many of them are fake af. But the barns are nice! The horses aren't snobby! I did love being able to hack to the show grounds though.
This video wasn't meant to be seen by horses. It's for the Olympic and Grand Champion riders. I've known stable managers who skimped on the food and called the vet when there was an emergency and the vet was only called for emergencies. For the most part, it's the responsibility of the horse owner. That rubber flooring is a must-have in any barn and those were double-sized stalls. I'll tell you what goes to the spirit of a horse, having a job.
It is an awesome place, I would love to work there in the kitchen, providing owners and friends with fresh produce, and good beverages. A little comment, I find the walls inside too white, it needs warmth, a good decorator could help. I would also add computers here and there for guests to browse on, to check horse information. I would also add bigger tack rooms, for riders who have more than one saddle. Thanks for making us dream and see where beautiful horses stay.
Sorry but I find this sad 7 acres is not enough for 24 horses would much rather see more big paddocks for real turnout than fancy stables and tiny paddocks that they can’t really play in.
It's all very nice, clean and well looked after. I just feel uncomfortable that it is what it is, a Winter playground/retreat for the 'haves' whilst the 'have nots' are living in their cars, working for a pittance... it's easy to see what their work - $0 contracts, casual, unreliable - pays for. The rich get richer the poor get even poorer.
How much turnout do these horses get with only 7 acres? Do they actually turn them out to graze? It looks like a manicured lawn. Do the horses give a monkey's about the luxury finish and immaculate (straw?hay?muck?) grounds. There's something quite terrifying about the place.
Probably 30 minutes to an hour in the morning and evening. Even in the winter (they will go north in the summer) it's still too hot and buggy to be out during the day, so turnout time is going to be limited to morning and evening. These are going to be expensive show horses, and as a rule they don't want them to be out and running around and risk hurting themselves. (Not saying this is okay, but that's the logic in these types of places.)
But where are all the horses? ...a property just for show? Edit: ooooooh it's just a giant ad - why not introduce the guy as the listing agent and mention the property is for sale at the beginning
As much as I love Matt, I would love to see him visit a paddock paradise, or a track system. Yeah they're not as aestheically pleasing as he would like, and are not our definition of luxury. but I think it would be really healthy to show people how much horse welfare improves in those systems. My own has 27 acres and a herd of 24 horses. With hills, lakes, trees, and grass all year round. Makes me happy to see the horses being happy and sound.
For me, there is now too much suffering and injustice in this world to enjoy this level of luxury. Yes, it's an incredible place (if also sterile and somehow lifeless), but in the face of an ever-widening gap between rich and poor, you can no longer look at all this without a stale aftertaste. We need more social justice in this world. More empathy, no social exclusion, but more participation for all. It's not about envy, it's about the fact that there are people at the bottom and now also in the middle class who bust their asses every day and barely have enough. I am from Germany, my English is not perfect, I hope you can understand what I mean.
Please everyone understand that the horses don’t live here year round. They are kept here for shows and sports. Like horse racing or polo. For that fact those fields and the stables are perfect for the horses!

Wow, interesting. It's a beautiful property, very clean and organized, and pretty fancy. But like others have said, you would expect an indoor arena for that price. I wonder why they didn't have one.
The place is empty so the owners probably only come down for winter circuit. Not much rain during that time of year.
This is just a home base for WEF circuit so horses don't need to live on the show grounds for months. Indoors are very rare in Florida. Some properties have covered arenas but they often have pretty nice weather and it's not necessary.
@honestEQ and @@rmfan2092 Thank you both for some insights to this!
Matt, you should do a video on the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, FL. Absolutely the best show facility in the world.
Wellington! As in Wellington, Florida! So close! Home of the WEF❣️
Wow.... Really beautiful property!
Itsbeautiful but i like open fields for the horses so can feel some freedom. Too fancy keep things simple
Absolutely beautiful....BUT The Porcha Ranch is still my #1
Love the idea of rubber floors for the horses. Surprised there wasn't more acreage.
It makes you want to dream about having such a beautiful place
The sound cut out for a while towards the end😢
Otherwise it was a great video as usuall❤🥰 love to see different horse properties😁
It’s a stunning property and so well maintained it’s tip top ,top of the pops
Matt I love to hear your accent when you talk
My horse loves to be outside all the time.
Not enough turnout. Pass.
Matt, you look pretty damn good standing there in front of the stables!!
Very enjoyable video. Thank you ❤❤❤
Am I in a time warp or something?
What a dream property.
Simply beautiful!
Wow beautiful Matt, i didn't realize you were thinking of shifting continents.
Beautiful property
What beautiful place love it
Impeccable is the only word that comes to mind.
Whoa. Lol.... can I rent a stall..
For myself??? Amazing. Beautiful.
Sorry but I find this sad 7 acres is not enough for 24 horses would much rather see more big paddocks for real turnout than fancy stables and tiny paddocks that they can’t really play in.
It’s a temporary show barn they don’t live here permanently only a few weeks at a time
It's all very nice, clean and well looked after.
I remember when Wellington was a cattle pasture.
The man who walked them around was named at the end.. proper introduction at the beginning would be great, more than ‘someone inside’. ☘️
AMAZING!!!
I was wondering why everything is so empty and clean. Then I understood that this guy is a real estate agent from Sotheby's 😂 Great advertisement!
You gave a much better presentation of the property than that guy was going to offer … thanks!
Matt please can you tour equestrian properties in England? Thanks
Can't afford Horse World TV 😔 Thank you so much for content 👏🏻
How much turnout do these horses get with only 7 acres? Do they actually turn them out to graze? It looks like a manicured lawn. Do the horses give a monkey's about the luxury finish and immaculate (straw?hay?muck?) grounds. There's something quite terrifying about the place.
It’s a show barn, they are out competing most the time, and only there for a few weeks at a time
Probably 30 minutes to an hour in the morning and evening.
I always wonder how people like this feel when they drive past all of the homeless people!?😮
so success comes with guilt? homeless people have accountability too!
@@ataahuagirl1 I figured their would be at least on shallow comment if not more.
They don't drive past the homeless. They avoid them like the plague.
How would you feel, would you give up hard earned success because there are homeless people? Your comment is ridiculous.
@@Flightwithoutwings ya, said how many likes!? The only reason why these individuals have what they do is from raping the poor. Just ask BlackRock.
omg beautiful architecture !
But where are all the horses? ...a property just for show?
Edit: ooooooh it's just a giant ad - why not introduce the guy as the listing agent and mention the property is for sale at the beginning
wait the guy is the listing agent????
Has GREAT potential for gardening and root building, if you ask me... heart emoji
This is so you Matt!
I'm loving it
It is always the luxury for riders, but nothing luxury for the horses. More like a prison...
Wow beautiful place
Where are the horses? Doesn’t look like it’s been used
Too much comfort, space and luxury for humans, not much space for horses to be horses. Its a pass for me
For me, there is now too much suffering and injustice in this world to enjoy this level of luxury.
Your just jealous you can’t afford this
Not even an indoor for that price omg hope it doesnt rain there much 😅
It's S Florida - it rains there - dryer in the winter though.
Please everyone understand that the horses don’t live here year round. They are kept here for shows and sports. Like horse racing or polo. For that fact those fields and the stables are perfect for the horses!
Drinking game! Every time Matt says 'classic', take a shot! Drunk in 5 mins. LOL
beautiful
Best Wishes
