@@mahdiclark9158 Yep, sent them pics yesterday. The whole last-gen setup seems defective, though. The stand also doesn't really hold the soldering iron because the suction tube on the top doesn't fit into the opening. They cut a slot at the top of the opening, but it's not big enough for that tube.
@@mahdiclark9158 Ha, thanks. I actually did hear back from Aoyue. They confirm that the bracket is missing. They want pictures of the serials and to know where I got it I bought it. I bought it new, but damned if I can find any record of it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
hah, just assembled mine tonight after actually buying it 6 months ago. All 3 switches were in the ON position on mine as well but luckily I noticed this before turning the unit on. The solder spool holder actually screws on to the solder gun holder unit if you want to do that. I'm surprised you didn't mention how hard it was to screw the solder cleaner holder (round metal cup) to the solder gun holder. I had to remove the actual part that the gun slides into in order to reach the small nut on the back of the small screw which holds the cup on. Was surprised there didn't seem to be a decent "chisel" type soldering tip supplied, unless I missed something. All the tips look pretty similar. Would have been nice to have very different ones seeing that so many were included. Thanks for the review!
Thanks for the comment. I just have the solder cleaner holder sitting in from of the solder gun holder; I never screwed it in. I don't recall a decent chisel tip being included, but I don't typically use those (must be me). That explains why I didn't pick up on either of the two things you mentioned.

Same... except mine did not come with the metal bracket, so the air-gun holder is useless. Brilliant.
