I would join in and do the scrappy Irish chain. I think it would be great to have it in a separate video each time. Then you could discuss different things in each video such as colour choices, sequence of sewing, pressing tips and planning the layout size
Good Morning Corey, I want to tell you how much I adore your wall of colors with each videos. It’s so pretty and it draws my eyes to the fabrics. I enjoy seeing your beautiful quilts and you as well. I’m wishing you and your family a wonderful weekend. Big Hugs, 🥰 Chris
P.S. Your 3” Blocks Are So Pretty, mine do not always turns out straight, so I’m doing 9” blocks, besides I need more quilts that cover my bed. 🤣😂🤣 Chris
I love that you show the quilting in your finished quilts. It really helps visualize how things will look! I get stuck when the patterns say ‘Quilt As Desired’ LOL
Would love to see the cutting and sewing part of the scrap-along, not just finished blocks. I always learn when I watch other work, even if it seems like basics. Plus newer quilters benefit from those basic skills. Love your videos!
I am so excited about the Sew-a-long. I found this pattern on Saturday and saw your RUclips video a few days later. I really enjoy your teaching. Thank you for your time and effort you put in the videos.
I have never made an Irish Chain quilt (I’ve been quilting for 25 years). This sounds like fun. I have a Madame Fleur by Jera Brandvig jelly roll that has been on my shelf for years! The colors are varied and beautiful, perhaps the perfect shortcut for a scrappy sew along. This would be a perfect leaders and enders project and I am almost in need of one. I like the idea of adding the scrappy Irish Chain project with the WIP videos, no pressure to keep up, a do-what-one-can-when-one-can project. I’m in! I have 3 quilts on my design wall - Star/Churn Dash in need of binding, Rainbow Postage Stamp in need of borders, and JenLib 3-block sets for a quilt group project. Sew many quilts… sew little time.❤ Thank you Corey for the inspiration.
Yes....I can start cutting my 2-1/2 in squares today...and it will take until sometime in 2023. Love the look of that quilt! Thanks, Corey...Happy Thanksgiving
I just finished putting the binding on two quilts this week! Whew😅 Such a great feeling!! One is a gift and another is a Christmas quilt! So I couldn’t be happier!! I absolutely LOVE the idea of a scrappy sew along! Looking forward to it!
I’m interested in doing the scrappy Irish chain, sounds great! I think keeping it casual is good. I’m working on a birthday quilt right now, want to do some holiday sewing. Such a busy time of year!
Your vintage sheet quilt turned out so beautiful. That final white frame makes those colors pop! A casual scrappy irish chain SAL sounds great. I have so many scraps. A little advance prep of 2 1/2" squares is a great idea, as well. Love those string quilts too! Thanks for sharing.
I love your scrappy quilts, I'm down for the Scrappy Irish Chain sew along, I'll be getting those 2 1/2" squares ready over the next couple of months. Thanks Corey ☺️
I’m very interested in doing the scrappy Irish chain, dedicated, planned out scrap along would be so wonderful. I am going to go through my material to see what I can come up with!!
The scrappy Irish chain is tempting. I have three 1930's jelly rolls which would be perfect for it. However, I already have 4 quilts planned for the new year! I recently bound 4 quilts , two that were quilted for me and two that I quilted myself. I've been making lots of throw sized quilts lately. I have one ready to hand quilt and some scrappy Christmas flying geese in progress. Love your Christmas quilt!
I know you must get behind on your personal quilts. I would love to see more how to see your stAsh. Also some gifts to see for friends and family with tutorial. Thanks for all you do. Thanks
Looking forward to your new fabric line, that’s always so exciting!! Can’t wait to start the scrap buster, I’ve always wanted to make an Irish chain so this is perfect! I vote for informal, with you showing your progress in your UFO video. Thanks for all your inspiration ❤️
Would you believe this one I just turned in won't be in shops until 2024!...it's always surprising how far ahead we work when I stop to think about it. =) I love a casual approach to the scrap-along....I think that would be a lot of fun!
Yes, please! I have been wanting to make this quilt for YEARS from my grandfathers coveralls. Started cutting them into 2 1/2” squares and then needed to compliment with other fabrics. I want to make progress on this SEW I’d love to have this be its own video dedicated to putting it together.
❤❤ ❤ oh I’m excited for the scrap sew along. Thank you for taking the time to share your ideas and talents. Love your videos and quilts that have your beautiful fabric lines in them. My favorite ❤❤❤
Great idea for a scrap along! I think mid January is a perfect time too. I will be doing my January clean up of the sewing room so I can find all the scraps I want to use and be ready to go. Any time you want to share works for me! I love your videos so I will watch no matter how you choose to share your progress.
I’m absolutely in with making a scrappy Irish chain quilt with you. I’ve been quilting for a few years and have never made a scrappy quilt yet and I love the pattern you’ve chosen. I vote for a dedicated video, but whatever you decide is fine.
I'm definitely in for doing the scrappy Irish chain. Started planning... I'm going to approach it as 9 9 patches to make a large 9 patch ....started pulling fabrics....the quilt is gorgeous and will be a beautiful heirloom quilt. Thanks for suggesting this.
Hi! I printed this same pattern earlier this year with the eye of working on this quilt at our winter home. I expect to start sewing mine in late January. Having all my pieces cut and ready to go! Doing monthly updates are fine with me! Happy quilting!
I’m new to your channel and really love the idea of a scrappy Irish chain. I’m always attracted to Irish chain quilts and have been collecting scraps for several years, so this seems like a perfect fit for me. I vote to keep it causal, but either way I’m in! I have subscribed to your channel so I can follow along.
I’m doing all three sizes of sewcialites 2 as they should all go together. Please keep showing us your blocks too.💕It has been a fun challenge. I am actually loving the 3 inch blocks. Thanks for reviewing with us it makes us all feel human we always think we can get more done than we do!🇨🇦
Cory those little tiny blocks are so stinkin’ cute🥰 I’d be afraid to do it, but I might make one to have in my presence cause it makes me smile to look at it. I think a sew along would be awesome, and I do love an iris chain. When I’m done with a quilt I cut the left overs in squares and I’ve got a small box full that needs to be used. I think it would be fun to sew together with every one, I think I’ve got 125 of a couple of colors. This was a fun video😁
Those little 3" blocks are so much fun to make but they do require a bit of attention. That triangle paper made such a difference on the latest one! I need to get cutting my scrap squares!
Love all your beautiful quilts & fabrics Corey. I’d love a dedicated sew along, I seem to do better if the leader shares tips and instructions. Thank you for all the beautiful fabric
I would love to participate in a casual sewalong of this scrappy Irish chain quilt. Just downloaded the pattern and will begin to pull together my scraps. Yay 👏
I love the scrappy quilt along. I think having it in this forum would help me keep track of it. BTW - I love these monthly updates. It helps me to look at my progress. Thank you!!
Fun video! A scrap along project sounds perfect for after the first of the year! Stay warm…we used to live up in the snow belt of Ohio…Chardon. I miss that beautiful area, but am glad to be closer to family back in MN. Happy quilting!
I saw yesterday Buffalo is getting hit with so much lake effect snow today and tomorrow...several feet it looks like they'll end up with! Sure a lot of snow up there by the lakes!
I love that Irish chain quilt. I will definitely be making one of those. Casual would be great. I’ve been working on my Sewcialites quilt blocks also and those 3” blocks are a fun challenge for sure.
Your vintage sheets quilt turned out fabulous. I love the fresh colors and the green gingham binding really makes the colors pop! Yes, I am in for the scrappy Irish chain. I need to get busy cutting the squares. I am doing the six inch sewciLites blocks. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 to you and your family
This week, since we don't have a new Sewcialites block coming out, maybe I can sneak in a little 2 1/2" square cutting! You have a wonderful Thanksgiving as well!
Minky! Such a great choice for your upcycled vintage sheets. I’d love to,do an informal Irish Chain scrap busting quilt along. Maybe include a small bit about the scrap busting as part of your 2023 quilt align projects. Just a thought. Love your tutorials. ❤
@@coribeckett7400 Ahhh!...that makes sense. My auto-correct is sometimes out of control so I'm usually pretty good at deciphering but I couldn't figure out that one. =)
I would love to join in for the sewalong! Right now I am just finishing up table runners for my 2 sister-in-laws for Christmas. Your quilts are so beautiful!! So fun to see your projects! Happy Holidays!
I love how your sheet quilt has turned out. It will be so cuddly and warm with the minky 🥰 The bright colors would have me dreaming of summer days! I am looking forward to the scrappy Irish Chain! I think however you want to include it in videos will be great! Maybe a stand alone intro, and then updates in your WIP videos? Between the Sunwashed and Bountiful sew-alongs, you will probably not be scrambling for content material. I need to finish my Oh, Happy Day quilt for my Mom, and Chelsi Stratton's Hearts at Home quilt for my daughter. I am a soap maker, and do 75% of my business here in November and December. I have a big, annual open house on Small Business Saturday (Nov 26th this year). After that, I hope to not be quite so busy so I can get my two projects finished up. I am hoping to get a head start on my spring supply, so I can take January "off", and sit by the fire and sew!
You and I are thinking the same thing Amanda!...I just commented to someone else about the possibility of an intro/how-to video and then subsequent blocks in the WIPs video after that...I think that sounds like a nice way to approach the sew along. =) I think you are right, it might get a bit busy as the month goes on! You do have a couple busy months coming up here!
I am already signed up for the block of the month at FQS with sunwashed. It’s my first one and I cannot wait!!! Thank you for sharing all you do and giving your time, talent and sacrifices for us!!!
Yes!...did you see the most recent videos about the Scrappy Irish Chain scrap-along? If not, be sure to check them out...there's been one released on the cutting and a second on the piecing/pressing. Also, be sure to check out the description box on those videos for updates to the pattern. =)
Yay, new fabric line for Corey!!! Haven't been able to do anything quilty 😕 Love!!! My favorite is the star. My middle name is Louise, my sisters call me Lulu, lol. That sheet top is absolutely divine, going to start hunting sheets to use!! Those sewialites blocks=DROOL WORTHY. Can't wait to see your finished Irish chain!!! No telling if I can work on anything, lol, hope so!!
My Grandma's name is Lulu and I named the fabric line after her. =) Interestingly my sister's middle name is Louise but I don't know if it had anything to do with my Grandma's name or not! Some seasons we just get more sewing done than others!...The first year my oldest daughter was born I did not one stitch of sewing. =)
@@CorianderQuilts That is so very special! We Lulus are special people, lol ♥ 😊 I'm surprised they don't call your sister Lulu also. Have a nice weekend!
You do soooooo much! I would think trying to do the "scrap-a-long" as a separate video would be adding a lot of work for you, so, with that in mind, I would think including it in your monthly UFO videos would be sufficient. :) I love your color choices and your work is fantastic!
I really really like the vintage sheet quilt top, especially with the white border and green gingham binding. I’d love to see the completed quilt with the Minke.
I'd be in for the Irish chain scrapalong! Casual works, it's hepful to see in the title. I particularly like seeing your thoughts on the bindings, that green gingham looks perfect. Really enjoy your channel and always feel inspired afterwards!
Love the vintage sheets quilt😀. I don't have any finishes for November two WIP and on the To Do List is your Sunnyside Quilt with using Buttercup and Slate. Scrappy Irish Chain would be fun.
I would absolutely love to do a scrappy Irish chain SAL! I have sooooooo many scraps (a 55 gallon tote 3/4 full). I will start cutting some up. Oh how fun. Can't wait.
love the idea of the quilt along doing the scrappy irish chain pattern i have been wanting to try that pattern but was a little intimidated. this would be so fun to with other people. i like the idea of a separate video b/c then it's easier to reference. either way, i think it will be fun. thanks for sharing. 🌳🐿
I love the idea of the Scrappy Irish Chain sew along. How about a kick off video, then mixed in with your UFO videos? I am doing lots of sewing for Christmas gifts - lots of small projects - while keeping up with Sewcialites and leading our guild fall sew along. Busy, busy, busy ❤
I see value in "lumping in." But I also really enjoy regular "weekly" progress/motivation videos on a topic... (I have officially trimmed enough scraps.)
I love the Ruby String and String Star quilts! I'm totally up for a scrappy Irish chain. I would just lump it into your works in progress. Also, thanks for the tip to look at colors and figuring out how much of each you might need. I was just going to start cutting up 2.5 squares 😁
It always helps me to kind of know how much of each color that way I don't end up with too many of just one. Some of my sorted by color scrap bins definitely have more fabrics than the others!
All of your projects are fabulous! I really like your scrap buster quilts and would love to do one at the beginning of the year. I think casual works great with your works in progress vidoes. I am working on Christmas sewing along with Sewcialites2 and Sherri's BOM since it is just one block a week/month. ❤️😃
I think after the holidays would be so nice as well! There are always so many fun sew alongs/BOMs happening...it keeps things interesting throughout the year!
I got the scrappy Irish chain pattern downloaded. Thank you. I think I’ll use my mini charms for the scrappy part I have a basket full, win, win, I don’t have to cut them, just the accent squares and background. 🎉
I am doing #Sewcialites2 in the 6 inch. The blocks are challenging at the 6 inch size. Your blocks look fantastic at the 3 inch size, you are brave! Ooooo scrappy Irish chain, I’m in! Leave it as informal or formal as your schedule permits. Planned scrappy…I can relate!!
I would love to do a scrappy Irish chain as a quilt along. As mentioned in the comment by Amanda and introduction video for the quilt along and then put the rest in your updates on works in progress. I cannot wait to start cutting 2.5 inches squares to get ready.
I’m in for the Irish Chain quilt… my choice for the tutorial/update would be dedicated. Great idea to replace the pink with the grey although the pink does definitely work well with the original pattern. My advice to you would be to put your feet up ALL of December and enjoy family time, you deserve it after this busy year…
I enjoy taking a little bit of time off but my job never feels like work which makes it fun almost all of the time. There are a couple tasks I wouldn't mind skipping. =)
I would join in and do the scrappy Irish chain. I think it would be great to have it in a separate video each time. Then you could discuss different things in each video such as colour choices, sequence of sewing, pressing tips and planning the layout size
Thank you so much for weighing in! I think it will be so much fun!

Yes!...did you see the most recent videos about the Scrappy Irish Chain scrap-along? If not, be sure to check them out...there's been one released on the cutting and a second on the piecing/pressing. Also, be sure to check out the description box on those videos for updates to the pattern. =)
I love to watch your videos. I would like for you to do a separate video on the scrappy Irish chain…
Thank you so much for letting me know!
@@littleluluscraps You have a nice weekend too!
Scrappy Irish chain sew along sounds fun!🎉
I think so too Maureen!
I would love to do a scrappy quilt. I would like it all on it's own but whatever you decide is fine. So happy it will be in January!
I think January would be so nice to start something like that.
You do soooooo much! I would think trying to do the "scrap-a-long" as a separate video would be adding a lot of work for you, so, with that in mind, I would think including it in your monthly UFO videos would be sufficient. :) I love your color choices and your work is fantastic!
I have so much fun sharing here on RUclips...quilters are a lot of fun!
I really really like the vintage sheet quilt top, especially with the white border and green gingham binding. I’d love to see the completed quilt with the Minke.
I'll be sure to share the finish!...it should be arriving at my quilter next week and I would expect it back by my next WIPs/UFOs video!
I will join in and do the scrappy Irish chain too, great idea.
It will be so much fun!
I'd be in for the Irish chain scrapalong! Casual works, it's hepful to see in the title. I particularly like seeing your thoughts on the bindings, that green gingham looks perfect. Really enjoy your channel and always feel inspired afterwards!
I think that green gingham will be just perfect for the quilt!
Love the vintage sheets quilt😀. I don't have any finishes for November two WIP and on the To Do List is your Sunnyside Quilt with using Buttercup and Slate. Scrappy Irish Chain would be fun.
This is such a busy time of year to finish off WIPs. =)
Love your Ruby strings. ❤
I think it turned out so pretty plus I had so much fun sewing it up with my mom.
@@CorianderQuilts It's definitely o my to do list 😊
Would love to do the scrappy Irish Chain. You do beautiful work.
I think it will be so much fun!
Thanks for planning the sew-a-long. Including it in with your regular videos would be just fine with me.
I think it would be a fun scrappy sew along!
I would absolutely love to do a scrappy Irish chain SAL! I have sooooooo many scraps (a 55 gallon tote 3/4 full). I will start cutting some up. Oh how fun. Can't wait.
I have so many too Lee Ann!...I need to put them to good use!
Just LOVE your Sewcialites block collection!
It'll be so fun to mix into a larger quilt!
Love all of your work & fabric. I would like a sew along showing how, verses just here is the block/quilt.
Thank you for weighing in!
I would love a separate scrap- a - long Dr ping an Irish chain! 😊
We are going to have so much fun!
I would love doing the scrappy Irish chain!!
It will be so much fun!
love the idea of the quilt along doing the scrappy irish chain pattern i have been wanting to try that pattern but was a little intimidated. this would be so fun to with other people. i like the idea of a separate video b/c then it's easier to reference. either way, i think it will be fun. thanks for sharing. 🌳🐿
I think it will be so much fun to sew together!
I would love a scrappy Irish chain sew along!!
I think it will be so much fun!
I’m in for the scrappy Irish chain!😊
I think it will be so much fun!
I think that would be just the way to handle that Irish Chain sew along. =)
You have been keeping busy with all of those projects!
Super interested in the Scrappy Irish Chain - I will be watching for this, and starting to cut up some squares between now and then!
I'm anxious to start cutting up mine as well!
I love that sweatshirt 😍
Thank you so much!
I see value in "lumping in." But I also really enjoy regular "weekly" progress/motivation videos on a topic... (I have officially trimmed enough scraps.)
I need to get trimming on mine!
👏👏👏on the white boarder idea.
I bet my long arm quilter likes quilts with borders better than those without! =)
I have printed the pattern for the Irish chain so I can join you. I’m not sure of my color plan just yet but have a lot to choose from!
I think it would be so pretty in a lot of different colors!
It looks scrap-a-delicious!! Would love to use up my stash of leftovers 😊
It will be such a fun scrap-along!
That is going to save you on a lot of cutting!
Will enjoy the scrappy project however you decide to do it…love the upbeat style and great ideas…I have a lifetime of scraps!
I have so many scraps too!
I love the scrappy Irish chain! I’m in!
Yay!---I think it will be so much fun!
The Sewcialites blocks this round are trickier!
I would love to do a scrappy Irish chain as a quilt along. As mentioned in the comment by Amanda and introduction video for the quilt along and then put the rest in your updates on works in progress. I cannot wait to start cutting 2.5 inches squares to get ready.
I think it will be such a fun sew along!...I love the idea of an intro and then moving it into the WIPs video after that. =)
Corey would love a scrap along ❤
It will be so much fun!
Love that quilt and quilting ❤️
It’s always fun to check quilts off the list!
I would love to join in on the scrappy Irish chain!! I’m new to your channel and am loving it!!
I'm so glad you found my channel Judy!...I think we'll have so much fun with the scrappy Irish chain sew along!
Would love a dedicated focus for scrappy quilts but will take it whatever way you dish it up!
Thank you so much for weighing in!
This sounds pretty cool! I just subscribed to your channel and I’ll be cutting 2 & 1/2” squares to be ready for the quilt. Thank you.
I think it'll be a lot of fun to sew along together. =)
Lovely quilts❤
Thank you Loretta!
Have learned new ideas. Thanks
You're so welcome!
Thank you so much for sharing ❣️✂️🧵🪡💖💕
Thank you so much for watching!
Love this pattern… it’s been on my list. Ok to put it in the works in progress but I agree add to title❤
It's such a great one to use up scraps!
