Except it doesn’t come with the fenders and rack. That’s a 99 dollar upgrade.
That’s a good catch. They have never charged for it in the past and didn’t let us know when they brought to bike to us for testing and review.
What’s the name of your full face helmet? Nice sun vision and maybe good for MNT biking?
Banger review!
Nice bike.I actually prefer plastic fenders.Take less rattle and better for taking abuse.
and you can color on them!!
Hey...great review. Any idea how this compares with Ride 1 Up Lmtd V2? I'm considering either bike
Can you do top 5 e-bikes you recommend?
I don't think the light is all that bad. only that mine came mounted off centered and after attempted to take it off and adjust it, it was just bent so I rebent it... Altus or better would for sure be a nice upgrade. The 999 is ofc the 500w and even the 750 doesn't come with fenders and rack... the package claims the rack can only hold 30 pounds??? I'll wait and see if they don't add a better deal later like they just did with the Xpeak
The rack we had said 25 kgs and had fenders, so they might have a different one on the final production unit. They should have let me know the fenders were not included.
I hope these release before ragbrai this year. This bike with a nicer seat and a free extra battery would be awesome for this event.
Terrific video
Thanks! 🙏
Which bike do you guys prefer? Xpress or Xpeak and why?
"weighing 200 to 220 depending on the season" Honestly, same😅 Anyway, straight and honest review. Thanks guys.
me too lmao!
My pleasure! We love what we do but we will always have the consumer in mind first.
I feel seen.
great review!
Thank you! Cheers!
7/10... the New kid is good, didn't see Jimmy tho, and no pups were featured
@@greenwave819Jimmy was out of town for this one but he’s back in the next video coming out later this week with his dog Milo and a pretty sweet robot!
Im looking for a commuter bike to save money with the price of gas and insurance. Get rid of one of our cars and use this for commuting to work. Im completely new to ebikes. Any recomendations? I care mostly about battery longevity and it doesnt need to be top power but a decent amount. I live in a city of 200k people so its not like a big city with grid lock but roads are busy enough.
We have designated bike lanes on all main roads.
Edited for context.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I wonder if I could put a color display on my XP 3.0
Having owned dirt bikes which always have plastic fenders. I really don't see plastic fenders as a deal breaker. Actually, for an ebike with the buzzing hub motor I feel there's a harmonic sound with metal fenders....and the stones and crap making it sound like a wind chime ;)
Can you review the Luckeep X2?
I want to purchase this bike, but I'm waiting for a version of the Lectric XPress that gives me an option of choosing upgrades. Give us an option for an upgraded version of the XPress, Letric. We want the upgraded parts: derailleur, fenders, suspension, etc., but we would like to have them direct from the factory, and avoid the higher cost of paying a bike shop to swap out the parts.
Does this bike have an IP rating? If so, what is it?
Could I swap out the front wheel bolt with a quick release one?
Thx for bike review video.
No. Thru axles have different mounts.
Shout out to all Fellow Co Natives
Not a lot left with the rising house prices.
How tall are you both? I’m 6 foot 5 and wondering if this would work.
I like your helmets. Where did you get them?
You can get them from the 3rd planet in the Terran system. You can use a technology called Google Lens.
i’m hoping that i can switch the thumb throttle to a half twist
A twist throttle would be a nice option.
What class of bike is this? Does it have an IP rating?
Do a review on the Wired e-bike which goes 38 mph.
bro that thing is a beast... it really isn't suitable for RUclips
Wired ebike will smoke any Letric ebikes
@@iMotoTactic00L Yeah, and so will the cost...like saying a corvette will smoke a mustang...
Language barrier in the Philippines? Probably meant India
He probably doesn’t know the difference between India and the Philippines
I need to get one of these
What is better choise this one or Ride1up LMT’D V2 ????
We have not tested the LMT’D but our previous reviews of Ride1Up bikes has been positive.
Kind of off topic, but did anyone ask the guys at Lectric why the XPremium was discontinued? To those who may THINK they know, I'm not interested in your opinion. I want to know the truth from Lectric itself
rear rack has a 30lb weight capacity according to their site, not 60lb.
the rack they had here is 60lbs. the rack currently sold is 30lbs.. I also took a look at that. and I own the Xpeak with the 60lb rack and can say that it is very nice and for sure holds 60 easy
@@greenwave819thanks for clarifying. site wasn't clear there are different versions and why that might be.
i would think most would not pick the 30lb capacity one if they knew there was a different option.
How would you compare this with the Aventon level 2 ?
They are going to ride fairly similar. Aventon’s user interface with the display and app is better, but it’s going to be at a decent cost difference. Lectric’s customer service will be better.
Good value models, though they don’t include fenders or racks, and the tires are 27.5x2.1in.
Which lab certified Lectric’s e-bikes? I’ve not found any of them in databases of certified products at UL, SGS or TUV. I’ve searched by “Lectric” for manufacturer or trade name, and various capitalizations of “XPeak”, “ONE” or “XPress” and not found any mention of them in those three lab’s databases. I keep hearing they’re UL certified to UL 2849, but have yet to be able to confirm it.
Waiting for Lectric's moped style ebike.
😯
is this a real thing?? can you even pedal a moped?
Same. I told them that when they came out with the xpedition. 2 bikes later, still nothing 💔
Can the pedals be swapped with normal pedals (non-quick release)?
You would need to change the crankset.
Looks like a great bike, but why would you make a commuter bike in 2024 and not have a working brake light? The whole point of a commuter is you're going to be sharing space with traffic and other cyclists on bike paths. Commuters need that the most, IMO. Come on Lectric, it's one wire.
Just like cars, cant have everything in one car for future ideas
I think the idea is to save battery. the brake light works when the lights are on. saves battery when they are off. Idk... I've never had any issues from this
You really think a brake light is gonna make all the difference between them seeing you and not?
Most definitely needed . Not just for the cars around you . Helps as well for anyone in other bikes riding right behind . And yes as this is 2024 we should be advanced enough to have brake lights on all e-bikes .
@@doctadrey3000 Yes 100% there is a reason that they are mandatory on all motor vehicles and it is because they are super effective at making people behind you aware of what you're doing. There's no excuse not to have a brake light.
Where’s Jimmy!?
Jimmy was out of town when the Lectric guys came into town. He’ll be back in the next video.
Next bike they need to come out with and soon is a 40mph bike to compete with the Wired Freedom. Because I'm about to pull the trigger on a Wired but would rather have a Lectric now that there making bikes that look good.
Get the ecells five star over the wired freedom
Lectric plays by the book, doubt we will ever see them make anything not class 3 legal. I'm also very interested in the Wired Freedom 4.0... just have to decide between blue or black!!
@@greenwave819 yea Lectric will probably not they seem to be by the book. Yea if I get the Wired it would be the orange.
Wish it was 8 or 9 speed.
Would be nice!
Having customer service in the Philippines does not mean there is a language barrier. maybe a cultural barrier but certainly not a language barrier. Over 60% of all customer service for American B2C firms is based out of the Philippines and that's been true since the early nineties when India based support was becoming a nuisance due to hard accents.
it is 100% a real thing. I find I get much easier support from India actually. 90% or the time it is 80% better and 75% of the time there is no "accent" and let's toss in some extra % just to be 80% more scientific.
@@greenwave819 I think you may have your facts wrong. Otherwise, tell me of any Fortune 500 company that still uses Indian based customer service (outside of the tech-oriented companies)?
True.. 🙄
Thank you
I agree with this! I also unsubscribed. that was uncalled for. people there are doing graveyard shifts till early am just to provide support here in the US and other countries and they dont deserve the insult. have you even been to the Philippines? what ignorance!
what's the max speed?
28 mph in pedal assist, 20 mph with throttle.
At this time the Xpeak is a better deal with free upgrades.
We do prefer the Xpeak.
@@freshlycharged why do you prefer the xpeak? I ask because I pre-ordered the xpress. I chose it over the xpeak because it is lighter, and has a torque sensor. I also don't get the appeal of fat tires.
Yes 2024 and still under power! Mostly ebike now are 2000 watts motor with 60 volts battery. 😅
You mean china not Philippines
@jeromewaites5364 exactly…Filipinos have a slight accent but speak good English
😂hat are you talking about the bikes are no made in the Philippines
All these companies are killing themselves in the long run with these torque sensors. Defeats the purpose of an electric bike, when your battery dies you have a torque sensor that automatically kicks in.
Can you explain more for me? When I did test rides I did part of the rides on no battery. All the bikes were torque sensors. And some were fine without the battery. Better than my other e-bike which is a casdence.
Man everything is good except for that display. No one wants a TV mounted on their bike
It’s the same size as the previous display, just with color. I think most will prefer the new display over the previous one.
