Thanks for your thoughts. I have the SE, and I absolut love it. Outstanding quality. It´s my first electric guitar with a piezo pickup, and I use it all the time. Adding a little piezo when I´m playing it magnetic wise, and adding a little magnetic piuckup when I´m using it acoustic wise. And using it with two amps, to blend between acoutic sond and driven electric sound, and both. A verry inspiring instrument that helps to be creativ. Creativ in dynamic soundcreation without needing any pedals. May be the Mc Carty is a little better? It does not metter to me, I found my setup, and I´m in love with it. I bought it at 2020 during the lockdown, and I want to say for me, it was the Gift of this f**king time.
Ha! I enjoyed the lockdown too. I honestly miss many aspects of it. Truthfully, I like the McCarty better, but probably only because I have owned and used it for so long. The SE's are great guitars. If I didn't have the McCarty, I would have an SE.
man, I like the SE way better.. on the pickup comparison, the McCarty sounded muddy instead of warm, like a rolled down tone knob. Just awful! the difference in the piezo sound is minimal and nothing I would choose a guitar over the other.
Right, it totally loses in the pickup comparisons but then comes alive in the jams. I wonder if the strings were more dead than we realized on the pickup comparison but even that doesn’t seem like it would make up for the difference.
The one thing I do not like about my HBII SE - Piezo is the battery clip. I've had to resolder the battery wires back on to the battery clip 3 times. The clip should be redesigned so that the wires don't break when changing the 9 volt battery.
That’s what I thought too. Especially when editing the video. The strange thing is I like the sound of the McCarty live more. It could just be a familiarity thing, but Pat felt the same way. At the end of the day, the SE is a great sounding guitar for a very nice price.
Yikes, just on the vocal mics? We updated how we record the vocals a bit ago and I wonder if that is it. I just turned 50 and am guessing I’m not hearing the frequency.
Thanks for your thoughts.

Nice note choices on the improvised solo to start the video. Sounds good!
Thanks. Really appreciate it!

I haven’t had this problem with my McCarty. We never had cause to open the compartment with the SE.
The SE sounds way more alive

Put a low pass filter on the sound, it sounded like a mosquito in my ears

Yeah just the vocals.
Thanks. We work on that for the next video we edit. Getting old sucks lol
@@PJandtheBeard
it seems like the les Paul video was the first one with the high pitched noise in case you are wondering
@@jerryfzwe changed the vocal mic and recording software before that, but not long before. That definitely will help us narrow it down.
I’m not sure which is worse…..
Not a PRS fan I take it...
