Love the videos and all the intro pics and the music. I have heard your Playlist on Instagram and FB. Keep up the great work. I wouldn't change a thing.
Why is a 65+ yo flower gardener living in America watching a video about two Brits vegetable gardening across the pond? So I can learn as much as I can about veggie gardening in these very uncertain times! I’ve been a huge fan of Charles Dowding and NoDig for some time and now I am a fan of your channel. I have more space than you and much less than Charles and really don’t eat many veggies but I hope to acquire a taste for more of them considering all I hear is they’re so much more tasty when you grow them yourself. Thanks for so much great information! 🇺🇸❤🇬🇧
Good morning from Windermere, Florida zone 9b 🇺🇸 Your video was lovely and I just subscribed to your channel. I've been watching Charles for about 5 years. What a Master 👩🌾👍 I'm 71 and gardening for over 50 years. Although I'm much newer to no-dig. Of course, it is so much easier. I also have a Can-O-Worms and raise Red Wigglers. Beautiful Castings for my Garden. I wish you success with your channel and Garden. My channel is very small and I started it to share ideas on easy gardening and Vermiculture. It truly is the way of the future. 👩🌾👍
Alessandro - Grazie for bringing me back to urban gardening. I thought that for a while that it was a bad pursuit due to the amount of effort and need for fertilizers and other things, but with your methods for more sustainable urban gardening, I am going to try again.
Wow!!! That was such an informative video. I will definitely need to rewatch it. It will be a great reference video to share with others. Thank you so much Mr Dowding for your wonderful thoughts on natural growth, the “No Dig” way of gardening. I appreciate your insight Alessandro, as far as, having a tiny garden. Composting in an old barrel, raised beds (cute miniature black panther). Much appreciation , Sir for sharing this video. You really should have over a million followers!!!
Really love the comparison of your two very different gardens but both so productive. Always great to see how the same principles and sucess can be had in such different areas
Good to see gardener collaborations like this. We can learn so much from both of you. I've been following Charles Dowding for a year plus now, but first time seeing your channel, thank you for the good info!
It's my long time fav gardener and my most recent favorite in the same video! Beautiful collaboration! Can't believe i missed this one, but it's such a treat too watch this cold snowy morning in northern Michigan, USA.
You have no clue how many times I’ve rewatched Gardeners world and seen your episode, out of nowhere my RUclips just suggested some mushroom tips and boom! It’s you!! Hahah love your chan❤
Love the vids, but (as is common with many youtube channels) I find your music to be a bit loud in the in-between cuts. Maybe drop the music level down relative to everything else a bit?
Video fantastico, collaborazione fantastica con Charles, è il migliore, un maestro Ho convertito il mio orto in no dig a febbraio di quest'anno, tutto cresce in armonia e pace senza disturbo del suolo

Good morning Charles, Greetings from Windermere, Florida zone 9b 🇺🇸 We are finally getting some cooler weather...only the 80's daytime and 60's at night. Florida is beautiful in the Fall and Winter. I can grow tomatoes and lettuces with the cooler nights. Such a joy 👍 As always, your videos are a pleasure to watch. Nice to hear you collaborate with a fellow gardener. 👍👩🌾👍
I love your vidéos and your philosophy. I practice no dig...in raised beds and containers. My problem seems to be that my compost heap is cold. I've added cardboard to the heap for the carbon. Will the cold compost do? I only have one heap which is covered. Thank you so much. Gail
This was wonderful. 2 completely different garden styles, both lovely! I am in an urban setting but went from 1 garden box to 9 this year!! Today, I am going to create a new bed using no dig method. I will plant potatoes next year : ) Looking forward to watching lots of your videos
Imma huge fan your content! About to start up my own garden here in Florida and excited! Using your great tips and tricks to help guide me through as well as your cooking vids.
I have re played this video, and in it, you mentioned Nettles. I have so many nettles in my garden. I ha e dug them up and put them in the bottom of my compost bins as I re filled them. My question to you is when you have transferred both bins into 1, do you cover the compost or leave it open. Today we have rain, which is watering my bins. Should I cover the completed bin with tin as you have in the video?
Very cool video! I'm in a urban setting also but with a bit larger back yard. I currently have a double stack of cinder blocks which I'm considering taking down to one layer to double our growing area. I have been using a compost method similar to charles but with three tidy cat litter bins with holes drilled in them. We dump used news paper, old shredded documents and green waste from the house.
Cool video bro, Charles got me into no dig, this is my first season and I also worm farm on a large scale and my garden is pumping more than four times the yield of previous season’s, your garden looks awesome 🐝🪱🌈😎
I wish I could do no dig. If I tried to plant a carrot, beet or onion seed in this soil it would just lay there and die. We had to start somewhere so we had to break ground with a tiller. We amend the soil every year with compost, but my husband insists on tilling
Which is why he has to keep tilling; he has set up a viscous cycle! Each till kills off the mycelium that would otherwise be building a healthy soil. Claim a bed for yourself and easily and quickly prove him wrong. Stand up for your beliefs!
Is there a network if one would like to connect somehow? This screems for doing a workship help for a few month to learn a bit while doing, would be so cool.
I use different companion plants and also you could infuse rainwater with nettles and garlic for 3 weeks, dilute it 50/50 with water and spray it over your plants!
I have never seen pallet collars, not even when I was in the Navy working in the warehouse. looked them up here in the U.S. and they do sell them. Also, the biocompost that you are using, is that already ready for use or did you have to make it using Bokashi? I'm not sure I am ready to use Bokashi for the rest of the house foods. But I am interested in that bucket of compost you used.
Pallet collars are really good! You can get the biovast compost on their website and it’s ready to be used! The compost bin it’s super easy to use and build mate, I made a full video about it 😊
I live close to the coast so we have boat shops around here so I get free boat motor pallets (3'x6' long) and I use them to enclose my garden. But I would love to locate those pallets you use at a reasonable price.
I have the space for 3 compost bins and have been composting for the last few years. I go thru it really quick. But I do want to get another barrel like you have to make a smaller one, hopefully a faster turnaround. I am not sure if in London where you are at if they have food banks, but over here I go once a month to ours to collect they produce they throw out to add to my compost. My friends help by bringing leaves for my compost bins. So in turn I share my produce. Thus year has been tough for me. Too much rain after the crazy freeze we had. I am not sure if u have looked into Beneficial Nematodes for the lawns. I use those once a year. But now I want to incorporate the Jadam method you have posted. Again thank you for your videos
Do you know that your videos are being reposted by repost channel!! Which wouldn’t be a big deal because that how I found you!! But they do not credit your name, had to ask around some followers to get to you…lol
@@SpicyMoustache @ Living in the backyard is one of them lol Like I said, it’s free advertisement 😂 But they need to at least credit the creators! You’re awesome!!💖
I enjoy how Charles is loosing some of that polite British thing and just calling it out - stop digging. We were all taught crap methods not based on science. Alan Chadwick and his double digging is no longer an idol!

Wished you were doing more you tube videos
Simple question, how to you fight with pests? I have organic garden and every year getting less and less of my production because of pests.
I use different companion plants and also you could infuse rainwater with nettles and garlic for 3 weeks, dilute it 50/50 with water and spray it over your plants!
Can I just leave the white or yellow stuff I find growing on top of my soil? I noticed it in a few of my raised beds this growing season.
It depends what kind of things you are referring too but if it’s mycelium forming on the top, it’s beneficial for your garden :)
Amazing videos, interacting with me 😊👍
Thanks a lot 😊
