- Manoj Bajpayee, one of the most talented actors today has three national awards and six Filmfare trophies to his name. He has also been awarded the Padma Shri for his contribution to the arts. In a candid conversation in ANI Podcast with Smita Prakash, Manoj Bajpayee opens up about his family, initial struggles and entry into Bollywood. He recalls how Satya’s success in 1998 helped him to get a foothold in the film industry and established him an actor. He takes us on a journey talking about his filmography and shares his experiences working with different co-stars. The Zubeidaa actor explains his fitness regime and how spiritualism has helped him to keep going in the City of Dreams, Mumbai. He recalls the proudest moment of his life when he saw the joy in his father's eyes when the boy from Bihar’s Belwa village received one of India’s highest civilian honours, the Padma award.

Explained true spirit of Mumbai - which is so unique in the world; Mumbai is so impersonal that no one really asks you what is your caste or creed or your credentials, it only asks you , what can you produce; At the same time, Mumbai is so impersonal that there is no place for you when you are not producing( like children or old people) . Mumbai is not for people those who are not making money. So true and ironical! New York is similar to Mumbai, keep running, keep producing else perish.
“Looks like”, librandus like Anurag Kashyap, RGV etc. did not plague his spirituality ; those were purely artistic collaborations and he did not lose himself in their idealism. I have nothing against Anurag Kashyap or RGV for them being brilliant creators.
The great Manoj Bajpayee says his biggest achievement is to be able to earn his paycheck by being an actor (as a Kalakar)-one cannot be more modest than that!! A true Padmasree you are , Jai hind Sir!!

Manoj Bajpayee jaise vyaktitva ko dekh ke, sun ke, aisa lagta hai ki Bharat mein Bharatiyon ka samay abhi aya hai. He is such a spontaneous actor. Wonderful to listen to his anecdotes, beliefs and styles from him. May he hail higher in the world of acting.

Wow! One more Jewel in Smita ji's crown. Manoj Bhai is earthly and clear headed. Mumbai has not affected his persona. He is spot on when he said 'Mumbai is not a place for learning....'. It is a place for earning from what you have already learnt. As he said, Mumbai is not for akids and elderly. Manoj ji is a deep thinker.

He is a great actor and amazing personality, but all of them when their movie or web series is coming you can see them everywhere and they start telling their stories and try to connect with the audience, this is his 3rd or 4th interview i am seeing in 2 days with same story.
According to me, they should do these kind of interviews to influence their fans whenever they get chance not only for promotion of their movie.
Its just they are selling their hard work stories.
And what an amazing performance in Zubaida I thought the same why Manoj Bajpai but after watching it, I couldn’t think of anyone.He was such a real deal. Authenticity flows through him.Amazing family man and an impeccable actor. Not to mention the decent conversation between the two is just soothing unlike restless rude and impatient anchors who butt in every moment to interrupt when guests speak.
