2023 RED LAKE WALLEYE FISHING | 5 MAN LIMIT (PART 2)

In this video, my buddies and I go out and venture onto the ever so famous Red Lake. We had little information off the start, so we tried fishing 10ft in the morning only to drive out 4 miles to 12ft of water. Boy did we manage to absolutely hammer the walleyes! Jigging, tip-ups, dead sticks, you name it, the walleye were munching anything you put in their face. And yes, we were safe and only fished out that far for a couple hours because we knew the wind was going to pick up and we didn’t want to get stranded out there. We caught our 5 man limit in 2 hours and then kind of just relaxed and fished closer to shore the remainder of the day. Overall, Red Lake is definitely a special fishery and one that you should try and enjoy before it’s too late.
The setup we were using was a custom 32-36” walleye ice rod with a pink 1/8 oz Clam Pinhead Minnow tipped with a minnow head. We also had some 36” walleye dead stick rods set up with just a small split shot and a fathead or rainbow minnow.
