*RUclips or video content in general has a lot of potential for earning, but I find it a little surprising that people HIGHLY underestimate the toil it takes to generate income out of it, People often think to create a channel one day and expect that they will begin earning from next day or next week itself, that's not how it works, there are challenges, learning, disappointments and breakthroughs at every stage, there are things beyond control like algorithm changes and then there are disruptive changes like Artificial Intelligence, etc., An advise that I would like to give to anyone starting a YT channel is to focus on quality of content (NOT necessarily gear like high end cameras, mic, etc) and to stay away from mixed audience, find a niche and stick to it, we learned it the hard way when we created mixed content on the same channel...All the best!* 👍
