@cloudcastsmagicmissile Hi, I think your brutality gem in Hammer of the gods is blocking the extra fire dmg from infernal cry. Otherwise thanks for great idea with the armor explosion.
Oh you're totally right! That's a cut then. Starting to run out of supports. Replace with perhaps Aftershock, theres a few options but it's going to get tight once I can start 6-linking everything
might try titan flash grenades for stun instead they have +% stun buildup. mace single target dps is nice but maybe crossbow would be cool. armor break in general seems like it might be a nice archetype. theres a support that allows poison to armor break. also maybe daze helps some builds with stunning more.
I'll be surprised if this doesn't get nerfed, they nerfed explode chest in PoE 1 because it did exactly these chain reactions explosions. They will probably give armour explosion a chance to explode instead of always exploding.
For single target you could also use volcanic fissures with jagged ground support and run over it with stampede, or use sunder to kill a boss in 1-2 stuns.
@cloudcastsmagicmissile fissures are the best combo. Try it with jagged ground. Sometimes 1 fissure hits like 15 times when you run over it, it's crazy damage. Then when you stunned and armor broke the boss just sunder it 1 time and it's dead.
Best warrior build out there right now, I say that as a Reformed Sunderer. Been running it as you've developed it and its great. I just got my 5/6th Ascendency points. Question: have you tried dropping Surprising Strength and Mysterious Lineage to run Hulking Form and Crushing Impact? Seems like it could net some defenses, almost break even on HP gain (from STR), then it is just the DMG/utility from small passives vs the muliplier against Heavy Stunned. Could also let you bulk up your weapon to the next up.
Cheers! I plan to drop Lineage for Hulking Form with my 4th ascendancy point, and from there will examine if I'm looking like I need more damage/defense
This build looks very fun, I'm at act 2 cruel, definitely will try this build! I have two questions: 1. what the best way to get int and dex in order to equip more than one dex/int support gems? from passive skill tree? 2. Is this build still viable when using 2H mace instead of 1H mace and a shield?
Search for stats in your jewelry like all atributtes on amulet and he is actually using a 2H mace on 1 hand because of the passive Giant's Blood. Weapons require triple strength but u can equip them in one hand so use 2h mace until u can stack enough strength to use Gian'ts and then take a shield
thx for build i was playing titan sunder build like 68.lwl when im in maping it was a good dmg but feels so slow now i change it your build better then sunder for maping thx again can u rlease more video about this build
Thanks for the guide, friend. I'm playing through stampede, and upon reaching the endgame, I hit a progression wall because I didn't think to use explosions. I’ll try switching to your version of the build. Even without explosions, I have a decent amount of damage overall, but survivability is more of an issue. Even with 78% resistances, surviving on maps is tough, especially when getting hit while speeding up with stampede. My hammer has good physical damage, but it has high strength requirements. Am I correct in thinking that it’s better to take a weapon with less damage but enough strength to equip giant's blood and a shield in the off-hand?
If you're having difficulty survival with res capped then yeah, you're at the point where you want a shield; it definitely makes a big difference. Following that, just check what's available for how much strength you have/can get and compare available 1-handers vs. usable 2-handers
@cloudcastsmagicmissile Do you really need the increase armor break nodes? Armor break is naturally doubled and tripled against magic and normal monsters, so when you stun and break for 50% you already get to 100%+ armor break.
Excuse me WHAT lol. You're right, it's in the tooltip. So increased armor break isn't necessary for just the clear aspect; only if you want to break for single target & exploit weakness
@@DominikPficner-ts4respend 30k respec it’s made my character worse now I’m bricked as vendors only refresh at level up and my current vendor stock is trash. No money to respec and damage to low to even kill mobs
I've had that thought but in the meantime, check my other miniguide videos on Boneshatter and Perfect Strike. They're all you need to get through the campaign
Default attack is crazy. Equip mace, equip mace strike. Invest in attack speed nodes near warrior start. Use rage support and faster attacks for a smooth "heavy strike" playstlye. Bonk mob once or twice, shatter with boneshatter, repeat. Put impact and aoe on boneshatter. On boss, drop a totem with chance to poison and corrosion to strip armour. Do this until perfect strike unlocked
Hey, thanks for the video! I'm currently in act 6 and I have specced Hulking form ascendancy node and some +str passives to be able to carry two-hander and a shield with Giant's Blood. Will I be able to cause heavy stuns with Stampede now or should I first get Crushing Impacts ascendancy?
I have a question. The main damage is fire right? but, isn't break the armour just for the physical damage?, i was thinking in a warbringer crossbow explisive shot build but im confused about how break armour work.
Armour Explosion is triggered by fully breaking armor; though yes it does do fire damage, with won't benefit from the armor negation. Any skill can technically be used to trigger Armor Explosion, but for it to trigger itself (and cause the chain-reaction effect), it must be able to break armor on it's own. In this build, it does that by being capable of heavy-stunning on its own, while we have effects that break armor upon heavy-stun
Will this build work in early end game? I’m level 65 and am having a hard time clearing tier 1 maps. I only have 3 links on all my skills so I don’t know if it’s worth to respec without knowing if it’s gonna work well😢
Armour Explosion does 100% Attack Damage and converts 100% of phys to fire. You can see this if you hold ALT while inspecting the gem and click on the Explosion subtab
have been doing some test and i THINK (90% sure) its from 100% base weapon damage. I've tried with high multiplier attacks, and really small ones, didn't notice any difference.
you don't need wheel with armour break above 50% break on stun, white mobs take so much increased break from all source, yet you don't break unique and rare if i remember correctly mobs armour with this (not sure how it's work but 100% increase break not double 50% from stun, mb bugged and was fixed, tested it for my sunder crit on fully break against bosses and it didn't work out)
Shield charge has a cooldown, hits only once, doesn't hit behind you, doesn't hit the end with an AOE, stops as soon as you hit something (whereas Stampede you can run alongside things and keep going)
just respecced to this, got the same exact skill gems and all, and its not working. no idea what im doing wrong. it takes forever to kill any enemies in t1 waystones ... and ive spent all of my gold to respecc too >.
yeah, after hours of trying to salvage it, it really looks like my character is bricked now. cant even beat mobs in cruel utzaal now. absolutely no idea what im supposed to do now, im definetely not going to make a new character and go through this slog of a campaign again.
What's your weapon look like? If you're struggling to kill anything it sounds like you're damage is extremely low, and the explosion interaction requires you to do enough damage to be stunning trash mobs in 1-2 hits
Meanwhile fireball/icewall witch and sorcs getting full screen-clear. Monk/Deadeye flicker builds zooming at the speed of light. etc Hope they leave the meathead alone.

Awesome build! It looks like something that a PoE 1 veteran would think of.
What an extremely well done video.
