I completely agree with you. Having lived in Germany for 14 years, I initially came here for a Master's program at a public university. Since the course was taught entirely in English, I didn't need any German language skills at that time. The language requirements in Germany can vary significantly depending on factors such as the university, course, and the sector you are targeting. For instance, the language requirements for someone working in software development differ greatly from those for someone in hardware development or sales. Professionals in hardware development often need proficient German language skills to communicate effectively with local suppliers and manufacturers. Similarly, those in sales need strong German language skills to interact confidently with customers.

Its true, for management jobs companies expect C1/C2/ nativel level German. It's hard to find a job only with English or with Intermediate German for Management jobs.

Misleading video, but I have a few questions and thoughts. The claim that only 1,000 out of 42,000 Indian students in Germany are in public universities seems a bit concerning. Could you provide more context or sources for these numbers? Also, while it's true that public universities are often more affordable and have a strong reputation, private institutions can also offer valuable programs and opportunities. The choice between public and private should be based on individual goals, program quality, and career aspirations. It would be great to have a more balanced view on this topic. Thanks!
so , her opinion is, if the professor is from India that too from Tamil Nadu. he is utter waste. Anchor is also laughing about Indian Professor. Very good Indian 😔😔😔😔. They mean only Europeans are knowledgeable.
I live here 16 years, misleading information. Although I speak fluent, I know dozens of people who live in Germany just speaking English, particularly IT jobs. One can survive but cannot totally integrate without German.
Hello bro, Am from Chennai planning to pursue my masters in Germany.Could you actually correct what she said so that it would be helpful for us to understand what the deal is.
This video has a lot of misleading information. I live in Germany since more than 5 years. I speak a little German. Though German is necessary to integrate with people when you prefer to live here. I am in the IT industry and survived 5 years including my Master degree and job without speaking (or learning) German. People are more friendly and welcoming in nature. It is very surprising for me to hear about Berlin, as my friend who is living in Berlin for 8+ years and he never speak German or understand German. He uses English everywhere and people speak English everywhere in Berlin at least. Statistics say that 55% percent people living in Germany speak English and it will increase in the future. Germany is not a place for MBA when you don't speak German. My colleague who did his MBA returned back to India as he wasn't able to find any jobs here without German fluency.
The ongoing war in Ukraine has created significant uncertainty across Europe, which could negatively impact international students. The war has led to geopolitical division, which may prompt European countries to limit universities' international ties and make collaboration more difficult. Some European countries, such as France, require international students to pay up to 50% of their future earnings as a tax. This financial burden can be a major deterrent for prospective students

Facts misleading. I believe she is talking only about her case and she assumes it is the case for everyone. Especially stating that it is that hard to get into public universities (1000 out of 42000) is very misleading. A simple math would say otherwise - Out of total 422 universities in germany, approx 290 are state run. That means 1000/290 ~=4 students per public uni, which is not the case (I am a student of public university). You can see at least 50 people, if not more, just from India in each public university, in each intake. So please add a disclaimer that this is HER EXPERIENCE and not the general situation. BUT, her statements about the consultancies and about the language is 100% true.
The facts are bit misleading. Straight facts : Learn German until C1 , get a public university and it is not easy to survive here. You need to know the crazy fact, you need to be so good at what you are doing and there are no basic jobs. Job Market is 100 times difficult than India. So work hard, Stay consistent. I studied in a Hochschule and its 70 percent germans and 30 percent internationals. No generalising Germany with the Education system of other Student countries
You are a funny person. What I don't understand is that you have great education and experience in IT. Why can't you find yourself which are the good universities. Why didn't you use Google to find the rates of these universities? It's surprising me. I think the only reason is to avoid German language or laziness. Anyway, enjoy your staying in Germany. lots of things what she said is not the ground reality in terms of number of students in public and private universities. the perspective seems to be very closed and there is actually way more opportunity than explained. it would be better to have a more open view and discuss more on the realistic problems. i have been for 5 years almost but its still a good place to come considering political situation. i hope u can take this opinion in a positive way.
