I do see alot of this design. My wire is yellow for visibility with 6 strands of aluminum which conduct much better than stainless and is uv protected. It's not perfect but what is?
Hi! We got the best at the Premier one company. We had gotten a spool from Amazon, but it is plastic and deteriorating rapidly, the premier one is better quality. It is called polyrope
Perfect!!! I like this set up. Can you say the brand of the charger and maybe where you purchased it? I appreciate you taking time to make this for us. Jesus bless.
Same question. And, I’m curious whether there is an automated way to turn the electrification of the fence on at sunset and off at sunrise, rather than manually since you may be away. For that matter, I’m not clear why it is necessary to turn it off at all since I would think it only consumes electricity when a deer touches it.
@@ttb1513 Hi---received your comment and it made me come back to watch this again. She says (which I missed the first time around) is that the set up was purchased from Premier One. The other comment you made which I think she sort of addressed---why turn the unit off at all. She mentions that they turn theirs off during the day so that it gets a good strong charge for the night time use. When the unit is turned on it has to supply electricity to all the fencing and hold that charge there. So it is using its stored energy although nothing is touching it.... Jesus bless.
@@sandrarichardson2713 I have not used an electric fence before, but I had figured that if there were no animals to make contact between ground and the charged wire, there would be no discharge path for current and charge to be leaked from the wire and battery. But it seems an electric fence does not produce a low DC voltage on the wire, but rather uses energy in a converter to produce a higher AC voltage. So, energy is consumed by an imperfect converter, even if there are no weeds or rain or whatever that provide a slight discharge path between the charged wire and ground. But even with that, if the battery and solar panel combine to last through the night, a doubling of the size of both would be enough to last through the day and night …. I would think. Also, I’ll have deer come by in the day time too, so I wouldn’t want it on just at night..
@@ttb1513 Thanks for the explanation. Very helpful. And I, like you, do have deer wandering around different am and pm hours. So I would hate to assume they only feed at night but find them in my garden mid morning or late afternoon. I have set up 3D fencing without the charger and it seems to work pretty well. The point being, they just are not sure about jumping into something they think they might not clear and get 'caught' so to speak. I used white mule tape 1/2". Moved into the garden about 4-5 feet and put up the second stretch. Also tied white walmart bags every 5 feet or so flapping around on the fence. It also worked for keeping coyotes out of my melons and squash. They don't like jumping a double fence either. Thanks again and Jesus bless.

Ones I’ve always seen has both ropes in the back and the single ribbon in the front.
Nice. I started doing this last year and it worked great. Just put up another for this year. I wasn’t aware that it was called “3D”, but makes sense!
That is VERY CLEVER! Thanks - much appreciated…
Would this fencing system work if were not electrified?
From what I've researched, not as well. They would just end up walking through / under it
How far apart are your posts? Thanks for the video btw! I hope the fence is still working for ya.
Where did you get that little cup for the deers to have a sample of the fence power? I looked on Premier One Supplies, not there?
Greetings from the LooseNatural farm in Andalusia Spain. Ok. Let's try it!
I really liked your video. What brand and/orwhere did you purchase the solar battery in the video?
Hey! Where did you buy the ropes?

@@sandrarichardson2713 oh man. Even coyotes going after your melons? I have woodchucks, but no coyotes. The 3D effect impact is great.
wish i used the thicker rope.I did not think about turning turn off the controller.thanks some good ideas.just planted my food plot for deer hunting
