I agree. Sarah Jane Waddell (Miss Trinidad & Tobago) had a fantastic speech, especially coming down to the end. Maybe I'm biased because she's from my country LOL but usually I heavily criticise my country's reps to these pageants. She was 1 of the FEW who impressed me from my country.
More like it. You should go to one of these competitions or rehearsals and meet and greet with these young ladies. You'd be a bit surprised at how they are. I was impressed when I went to an invitation only event one time. The ones I met were ambitious and formidable.
Julia Gama's command in English has improved if I were to compare it with her Miss Universe stint last year of May 2021. She woulda been an amazing Miss Universe if she only won.

I absolutely abhor when pageant contestants use charitable works as justification for the categorizing and grading of women based on their looks, in a system designed by men to keep women subservient. Charity can happen without being half naked - the women in these pageants aren't even physically representational of the actual female population of their respective countries. Im not trying to be a 'hater' or anything, im sure these women are wonderful in their own right, but this system of pitting women against each other, while pushing unrealistic body ideals among young women and show casing them as objects must end.

Miss World have no swimsuit competition anymore. This is not Miss Universe. You would know if you actually do research first. They actually raise millions and do travel around the world to help those in needs.
