I honestly think they dumped more than they shipped. The quality control must have been excellent. I think if something did not look just right. They dumped the marbles
Yea...I dont know what they did on those weird eye marbles.....I think it must be a run they made that didnt turn out like they wanted...so they dumped them
I still think the town dumps are the best....for the best marbles. Some of the dump marbles I have found on here....that are non marble king.....some of those are not even close to these.......the marbles .... not as many on a town dump....but usually better quality.
I was happy to find that. Of all the marbles there to find....I think that is one of the top 2 or 3 hardest to find. I used to go there alot 30 years ago. It used to even be better. It has been dug on for years. The bad thing is the water/toxin combo. In the dump you can stay clean and dry.....there...it is hard.
The Robin's egg is one of the coolest marbles I've seen, Rocks. So many unique marbles, it's hard to understand why they were dumped! And I love the cullet, it's amazing.💖

Thanks. If you sell on Etsy.....learning about marbles....and buying collection of them or digging them. With a good camera......older marbles that are nice looking....you can sell them all as singles. They ship cheap.....and you can make a KILLING.

Man I thought I had a load of marbles lol. And all of mine were bought over 70 years of collecting by my Pap but Man U gotta have a dump truck full lol. I wish I were closer to Wv.
Well this stuff is just ok man.....just "OK" if you have older swirl marbles and such.....they are 100 times better than these. This stuff is cool....but the marbles I am digging on the dumps are 100 times better. It is not even same ball park. There is a lot of this marble king stuff left to dig.....250 years worth I would estimate....probably more. The market has been just saturated with it because of places like this one. There are even more places like this that even have more of them to dig than this. The older Alleys and older marbles....there are few places to go dig them like this....the town dumps are the last GREAT places to build marble collections for free. If you can find a town dump...where hundreds of families threw away...even thousands for decades....THAT IS WHAT YOU WANT. Anyone over 70 years old will remember the town dumps and dump spots. Until like 1965 these was no trash pick up around here...it was all driven to a dump and threw over a hill. Most people if they moved...they dumped most of the stuff over a hill. And moved.

Guy hunts so he will only let me in in spring one a year for a month it’s tough diggin and they burned with coal but I found some good pockets. Not to many folks wanna give info to us Newbies lol. I been walk-in fields pretty much my whole life and have a pretty nice collection of points but nothin like u have. My Pap has the largest collection of Lenni Lennape artifacts in the state of Nj. It’s in a barn up on his farm. Still have to go through it. He was a mound digger back in the late 30s on until they outlawed it and turned it all into fed land. Sussex county nj on the river. It’s all going into a museum against my will. I know how that will end when my parents are gone. Lost Pap three years ago. I am hoping they are having second guesses on giving it away to a museum. I would rather it go back to the tribal leaders myself than some private museum. Not my choice tho. I am gonna start doing the river thing soon as I get better. God willin. ✌️

If I had an Ebay Store......I think I would want like $22.00 Buy it now for a marble like that. I sold a lot of these in the late 1990's and early 2000's. Sometimes they get a little more....just depends on who is bidding.
Well its not really the color.....it is the marble types. That Robin marble is not common. Like a spiderman or watermelon would not be common either. There are lots of all colors....just not lots of some marbles

Some of these look amazing and other even better. The half n half marbles I've never ever seen before. I had the white with the green swirl or other collir swirls. Cats eyes, the typical clear with star colours inside n some epic industrial looking ones all clear base in different colours, rootbeers green blue purple a few red n orange.

I have before. I am trying to get to the point I can again. I dont make a lot here. It is just enough to scrape by......but....it is getting better over time.....so here pretty soon I am going to try...I may even rent a booth someplace and just have a display of stuff for sale.

I think the quality control must have been excellent. They must have been after perfect runs of marbles. I think if one little thing was off....or some were out of round....they dumped the run.

Why are marbles found old dumps?
This is a marble factory dump. The factory....Marble King....Dumped these...prior to 1970

I have before. I am trying to get to the point I can again. I dont make a lot here. It is just enough to scrape by......but....it is getting better over time.....so here pretty soon I am going to try...I may even rent a booth someplace and just have a display of stuff for sale.
I think in the last two days you've brought home more unique marbles than ever before. If your ever wanting to do more giveaways you can make a box of cullet as an easy prize. I think your marble lovers would love it. Give Squirrel Man a good ear rub for me ! :~)

How do you know where to go digging? Are you in an area where water might have washed them down from a factory or something?
Hey man I know it may sound stupid to some but how about making some videos of cleaning stuff up. I think it would be cool to watch the transition from old rusty stained etc to like new condition.
Rocks do you ever make a smaller frame of the pee-wees ? I wonder who was in charge of throwing those out as rejects? They are all so nice. Great trip and video. Take care.
I think the quality control must have been excellent. They must have been after perfect runs of marbles. I think if one little thing was off....or some were out of round....they dumped the run.
I honestly dont know what they dumped some of them. probably half the run was good....half was not something to that effect
