I'm incredibly proud of you for working so hard on yourself and setting the boundaries you need. You're 100% allowed to do things and make decisions for your channel, and then change them. I'd rather see you focus on your personal growth than focus on trying to please everyone, because the reality is, you will never, ever be able to please everyone, 100% of the time. So do what enriches you and your life. Do what you can feel good about. At the end of the day, this is your career, and it should be worthwhile to you. I grew up around entertainers and I've both seen and heard about some pretty scary things. That played a significant role in, when I was deciding to go to school for acting or studying psychology, I ended up choosing psychology. You need to do whatever it takes to keep yourself safe and mentally and emotionally at your best. Streaming is so unique because even the most famous actors in movies get to have a little distance from their fans. In the meantime, your job is, in part, interacting with your fans on a nearly daily basis. That isn't easy. It isn't easy at all. It takes a lot of fortitude. EMDR is very interesting. For people who don't know, it's often used as a treatment for trauma. There are a few similar types of treatment. While EMDR uses eye movement, there's also other treatments that involve tapping. The point is to help the individual stay in the present and reduce the impact of memories from past trauma. It's not something anyone should jump into on their own, as it can be pretty intense. Finding a good clinician is vital.

You're 100% allowed to do things and make decisions for your channel, and then change them. I'd rather see you focus on your personal growth than focus on trying to please everyone, because the reality is, you will never, ever be able to please everyone, 100% of the time. So do what enriches you and your life. Do what you can feel good about. At the end of the day, this is your career, and it should be worthwhile to you.
I grew up around entertainers and I've both seen and heard about some pretty scary things. That played a significant role in, when I was deciding to go to school for acting or studying psychology, I ended up choosing psychology. You need to do whatever it takes to keep yourself safe and mentally and emotionally at your best. Streaming is so unique because even the most famous actors in movies get to have a little distance from their fans. In the meantime, your job is, in part, interacting with your fans on a nearly daily basis. That isn't easy. It isn't easy at all. It takes a lot of fortitude.
EMDR is very interesting. For people who don't know, it's often used as a treatment for trauma. There are a few similar types of treatment. While EMDR uses eye movement, there's also other treatments that involve tapping. The point is to help the individual stay in the present and reduce the impact of memories from past trauma. It's not something anyone should jump into on their own, as it can be pretty intense. Finding a good clinician is vital.

Healing is not a quick and easy process. Stop placing your entertainment above his health journey. If you can’t have the basic trait that makes us all human called compassion, then I suggest you leave this community.
