    Thank you. I have managed to run a Mann-Kendal Trend for my data for the very first time after struggling for a while

    Guy, thank you verrrrrrry much. One thing I love about his video of over a year is that you were just straight to the point. I stayed on the Mann Kendal and Sen's slope for 72 hours before I came across your video and I have done both in less than 1 hour. Thank you for this upload.

    Can these analyses be conducted for time series data collected at irregular (not equally spaced) intervals?

    In "Trend analysis of drought" topic , Can you tell me that what should be the variables I Should input. Should I take Years & ANNUAL Precipitation value?
    I am Using EXCEL SHEET For this topic.
    another question , HOW Can I Calculate Annual Precipitation Value? By taking Average of 12 Month Precipitation value?
    Kindly Explain.

      Yes, I think you can try with Years & ANNUAL Precipitation

    Hi, Very informative video. Thanks for this. I have two questions. question 1: I have 6 years of data. no consecutive but in every 5 years. Can I use MK test on this data? 2nd question: I have 54 temperature data for 54 sites for each year. do I have to perform MK test for each site (54 times) to get the trend? Is there any easier way to do?

      Thanks for your comment. MK is a nonparametric test. Therefore, if your data fall under this category, you can run MK to see the trend. It is better to consider all site temperatures from each year, and writing simple codes would facilitate your process more than any other ways.

      @@LatLongCoder Thank you so much for your reply. I conducted MK test for each site.

    so if both p values of Mann_Kendal test $ Sen's slope test is the same and we do not get any other information, except of significant, from Mann_Kendal Test, what's the point of doing it? Tau value means something?

    • @LatLongCoder
      @LatLongCoder  Год назад

      Thanks for your comment. MK determines the presence/absence of a significant trend and the threshold is 0.05. SS only comes effective if the trend is detected. SS determines whether the trend is downward or upward. Hope it clarifies your queries. Thanks

    Can mankendal performed for two variables

    • @LatLongCoder

      I think it works separately for an independent variable. For instance, the area is the dependent variable and it is derived based on time. So, technically yes.
