Both the F-16 and F-15 64mm jets from FMS are awesome flying jets. They are also very "tippy" on the narrow landing gear. They are light weight, and thus are a challenge to take off in moderate crosswind conditions. Best to start the takeoff roll on the downwind side of the runway, that way you have more room to accelerate before getting turned into the wind and going off the runway. On 4S, I find that I can punch the throttle to full and pull back 100% on the elevator, and it will climb straight up. I think these are super awesome with 4S 2200mAh... balance per the manual.
Hi John, Since it has fixed landing gear, how about bending the main gear out about an inch on each side to give it a little better ground handling. Do agree it need a rudder.
Agree with you both 100% - plane needs a rudder(and a pilot) - only reason I have not grabbed this one yet. A friend of mine added a servo/rudder just as Dave suggested, but it takes away from the beautiful finish. Would be so much better if FMS took care of it at the factory. Wish they could run a pushrod from the nosewheel servo, but a guess they can't get by the EDF. Thanks for sharing another great video.
Really tight on money right now. I was one step away to buying it. But after your video I decided not to. I would have been really dissapointed. Thank you.
This is definitely just a hand launcher. I person dont like hand launchers because I want a runway and a scale look with take off and landing. But the plane does look great in the sky. I have wanted an F-16 for a while now but wint get one until I can afford one with retracts Definitely need to get an EDF in the hanger soon. Thanks for your reviews! Love the channel.
Hello again John, I have a quick question. I wanted to ask what the average shipping time is within the continental U.S. for shipping from FMS. I recently ordered the FMS Ranger 1220mm from another source because I needed it this week for a training but they messed up the order and sent a cowl for a T28 but charged me for the plane. The company I wont mention had horrible customer service and after soeaking to about 6 different folks on their virtual assistance chat I decided to just cancel the order. I ended up ordering it direct from you guys (which I should have done in the first place) but the company in discussion USED to be super fast with shipping and I would have had the plane for this week as needed. Anyway, I ordered from FMS this morning July 10th 2023 and I live in Philadelphia, PA so I wanted to ask in your opinion how long do you think it will take (or how long is usual shipping) within the continental US to Philadelphia, PA? I ask because I am praying that I might have it by this Wed or Thursday. This is my first time ordering directly from FMS and I plan on just doing that from now on but wanted to ask the average shipping time within the US?
I have no way of answering this question. They've sent me products from Tallahassee Florida and from Canada. From Tallahassee, I usually see it in about 2 days. From Canada, about 5.

Great flight Happy 4th of July
Thanks Robert!
Its a nice looking plane but after watching you there's no way that's for me. Thanks for the video.
You're welcome. This comment is why my channel exists.
Hand launch is the answer 👌 and 4s power...
4s might be fun. Hand launch 100% agreed.

Yeah, bending the gear out might help. I think ripping it off would help more TBH. I need to give that a go. Can't be worse.
I think you need to name this one the Wounded Dove.
Poor thing.
A turn and burn jet. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻
Thanks for watching!
I didn’t think I was watching TailHeavyProd’s lol

Thanks for the comment. Hopefully feedback from reviews like this will help with design choices in the future.
when is the live stream???
Check the main wheels; one wheel may be binding up.
Good tip. I did look at that on one my "walks of shame"
That's a gimme the plane and I'll add a rudder. LOLGreat video.
:) Good pre-empt!
Well Done Channel, Young Man. Regards, 64 yo , 13 year Electric pilot Alabama USA
Thank you.
I wonder if it would help to hold some down elevator to keep the front wheel planted until it gets up to speed?
Did that and the slightest turn caused it to fold over on the nose. It needs a rudder...
Happy 4th!

Good choice!

Thanks. I agree. Hand launcher for this plane.
GLAD I GOT FREEWING 64MM THEN BUFFY THE UNCONTROLLABLE
Yeah, this one was a handful.

@@RCVideoReviews ok. I was just looking for an average timeframe on your experience. Thanks so much for your response. 🙏🏻
6s?
I would remove the landing gear and just hand launch it
Agreed 100%.
What if you hold down elevator until you have enough speed to pop up?
It nosed over easily enough already. I think this would just be a lot better as a hand launched plane or with a rudder.
No rudder, no point. Get the 64mm freewing f-16 instead and you will have rudder.
Top✌️✌️
