Thanks for the video because the International Shyto Ryu video only shows a front angle. I would hate to ask my Sensei because I am only Green Stripe and have a lot more to learn before this. Best wishes.
So, is this the Shitoryu variant of Shotokan's Unsu Kata? I'm so used to seeing Michaël Milon's epic Unsu, but I can kinda see enough similarities to think that they are based on similar move sets. Fascinating to watch, and great to see such a skilled Karateka at work.
No, the "jump" is in Shotokan *Unsu. Shotokan version came from Shito-Ryu, which in turn is the original version. *Unshu*. Brought from China and taught by Aragaki Seisho Sensei. And in my opinion the original version is better, and more beautiful(and applicable) than the one practiced in my style (Shotokan-Ryu)
sí yo también soy de shotokan y definitivamente sentí un vacío existencial cuando no ví en salto y la tirada al suelo tampoco era igual... hay katas que me gustan en shito pero adoro el unsu de shotokan

Historically speaking, Shotokan’s version came from Shito-ryu. You can read about this on my blog 👍
@@KARATEbyJesse oh cool. Sorry for mixing that up.
Yeah firstime video I saw him performance Unshu... but as it Antonio diaz... he play well powerfull and smoothy..
Cool. Is this the first time he used this on a competition?
I never saw any video he used unshu before or I think I just missed it .
Have someone trained by diaz
Much more authentic and closest to the original kata, not just performance choreography kata such as the Shotokan thing?!
Guy in the background is performing Gojushiho
Como se llama la kata que está haciendo el Cinta Roja De Atrás?
Gojushiho de Shotokan, el kata más alto de Shuri Te.
Shito-ryu's Unsu
Shotokan's Unsu is more Shito-Ryu's Unshu, as Unshu is the older form of the Kata: Funakoshi learned many Kata off of Kenwa Mabuni.
Actually, this is the ARAGAKI-Ryu Unshu
He didn't jump for the crescent kick
there is no jump in unshu in shito-ryu ..
very different with shotokan..
He doesn't have to, the Shotokan version was modified from this one, therefore its "newer". The version you just saw was the "origninal".
which style is this?
Shito ryu
where is the jumping
There are two variations of this kata. Unsu and Unshu. You are probably getting confused with both katas
oooh, sorry for the misunderstanding, thats not my style
that Shito Ryu Kata style bro.
Why does grace jump but most other kata athletes do not jump in unshu?

Unsu
Antonio Romano *Unshu
Me encanto
Im shitoryu
In-cre-i-ble
Shotokan unsu is better!
Its Unshu, not Unsu
@@tinotrivino unsu is New kata. Unsu is transformed kata from kata unshu.
