While I understand you saying he pulled you out of addiction. Does this not also have to some extent be down to your Choice to fight and give up the Addiction. May people give up drugs etc without turning to religion. Or Jesus have had family members myself who never believed and give up drugs addiction and addictions without him. Please understand not trying to be little your choice to follow him just trying to understand.
