This is actually the recursive method. If you want to do it the other way try using this formula: a₁ + (n - 1)d With a₁ being the first term, n being the nth place in the sequence, and d as the difference.

This method works for fractions too if the differences are all the same
How about 4, 8, 16, 32 instead of adding them they've been multiplied by 2
This is not a linear sequence like the one in the video...your sequence will need an index (or power)
