I'm really developing a growing distaste for the daughter and son-in-law. Poor Tammy is basically being murdered again by her own daughter.

Joe Murray’s testimony was so cringeworthy. He is mad at law enforcement for finding 2 children’s body’s in his father in-laws backyard. Seriously, Joe Murray? You’re mad because a detective kept driving past Chads house on a PUBLIC road?. How demented you are Joe! The detective is a HERO.
It’s so weird he would see Chad leave EVERY morning Monday to Friday to go write at BYU or in the church, he sees Hermosillo all the time driving by but he didn’t notice anything the day Tylee was buried or the day JJ was buried. So odd..

I think they helped him after and know he killed their mother and maybe he had persuaded them it’s the right thing to do. I think they speak like that because they are lying all the time and believe in that still what they did was correct. I don’t believe they are innocent. I heard both of their testimonies twice in part. I think they are lying all the time and the tone of voice ensures the lie won’t be noticeable. Only once in her testimony Emma showed emotion. It was about something irrelevant. So, it’s not her style. The tone of voice is deliberately manipulative.

When Emma’s husband dug his heels in deep stating that he couldn’t see any reason for law enforcement to keep an eye on the Daybell property after digging up 2 missing rotting children in the yard….he lost all credibility. How do you get through to people like this???
The audacity to state that they shouldn’t revisit a traumatic scene during work hours. And that law enforcement is the last career he’d consider. So disrespectful.

The defense's "expert witness" is an utter joke.
I work in medical education (medical school), medical residency and fellowship, post-doctoral fellowship, and medical scientists. I almost spit out my coffee when this "expert witness" gave her credentials.
She published ONE paper back when she was a fellow? Lol I am laughing so hard. I don't know a single reputable research university that would be ok with a fellow publishing ONE paper. Also, was she first author? Second? Third? Eighth? Where was this ONE paper published?
She's never done any posters or presentations? She hasn't written another paper since the one? Where's any additional research she's conducted? Oh, she hasn't done any? Got it.
She's not a practicing medical examiner? Got it. She works by contract? Got it.
I wouldn't consider this person an expert.
She also has two reviews on Google, both are one star. I think a prior was just trying to find the cheapest “expert” at the last minute.
but no evidence of asphyxiation. Non specified bruising, no neck marks, toxicology clear, no heart abnormalities so why not unexplained death ?
So basically she gets paid to look over reports and say to a jury they're wrong, right? With not much actual practical knowledge or experience to back that up.
I was amazed by that too. I think she was one of the more creditable witnesses, but not thorough.
She’s been paid to “testify” in 300 trials. A career grifter.
Wait - so Tammy was in poor health and died out of pure weakness - but she couldn’t have been asphyxiated, because she was too healthy for dying from it? Yeah, right.

They had to cherry pick to find a forensic scientist who would say what they wanted them to. They had to have a counter.
I'm sure the jurors noticed this too. Or at least one who can rise the issue during their delegation.
great observations, also hes talking confirmation bias but she looked a report with chads statements about seizure activity but didn’t look at any of her medical records, proving that she didn’t review all the scientific evidence

I look to hear the tapes in rebuttal. I suspect there is no evidence of the crime in the tapes (Chad is too careful for that) so they couldn't introduce them when making the case. But there is evidence that Emma was less than truthful, so it can be used to impeach the witness. It first needs to be entered into evidence, so they'll have a witness testify about how they were obtained. They'll be admitted, and then Emma will have to listen to them and respond to questions s.

I feel the same, but as much as I hate to give him any credit, he’s not a terrible attorney. He’s done the best he could with the bad facts of this case. It is pretty impressive that he’s done this alone. Although he’s had about 4 years to work on it. To be clear I’m very annoyed by him and he’s denigrated Tammy at every turn…at her husband’s request.
What Chad did is indefensible but, I bet he wishes he had chosen an attorney who is actually an experienced criminal defense attorney instead of one who usually does civil cases.

Every person has the right to a good defense. The victims deserve justice, and that means making sure this is done right the first time. Prior is doing the best he can with what he’s got to work with. Doesn’t change the fact that most of what he’s got is B.S.

I'm only at the 45 minute mark, so I haven't seen him yet finish up on the stand. Did he do something that all the other witnesses hadn't done? I mean, to be honest, I've not seen any of the other witnesses being in a position to need to speak to the judge when they were excused from the stand. What exactly did he do or not do, please?
In my opinion when counsel on both sides greet you with a good morning etc., it’s best to reply with the same greeting. Also, at the end of testimony when the judge releases you it wouldn’t hurt to reply, “ thank you your honor.” A little bit of courtesy goes a long way.
These people are like "Oh two dead children in our backyard? How did those get there?"
They didn't even ask that. Apparently they shrugged their shoulders and asked where their $8k was.
It appears the defense is more interested in the raccoon and the truck.
They are using smoke and mirrors to divert the fact that Chad appears to be in the back yard with Alex during the time the author think she was burned and buried. They are diverting truth regarding the evidence (scientific evidence) found surrounding the suspicious death Tammy, where she would not acknowledge possible cause of the bruising nor acknowledge the foam. The kids were coached… it is obvious… while Prior say “not I” he doesn’t mention that the kids specified continual relationships and consulting with their father.
Raven is the most critically of the witnesses today, but I do feel she missed the mark as a scientist by not observing all the facts surrounding the case

I watched this live yesterday. I don't believe in violence but I wanted to rip that smug little smile off Chad's face when his son in law son in law said he he didn't understand why the police kept doing surveillance of the property even after the remains were discovered.
I’m waaay behind, but I 100% disagree that only 5% or lower of autopsies are undetermined. I just looked up the percentage on undetermined deaths and found she is waaaay off! I wonder how much she was paid to testify.

Honestly, what was done to Tammy was so disrespectful in so many ways. She carried all those children for 9 months and cared for her family while working as a teacher. She was a beautiful angel and she was ripped from the world with little care. I think he did then he should be ashamed of himself and pay the ultimate price.
I imagine this happening to my mom and finding her the way the elder son did as I am the elder kid for my mom. I would be so devastated and so broken.

If they don’t mind having their own kids live in a house w dead 💀 people remains, not smelling any flesh roasting yards away from your home in September fall weather. Tammy used to bury raccoons in the pet cemetery according to Emma, so why did Chad kill an animal that Tammy would not approve of? If Garth heard a thud of his mom falling off the bed - how does a stiff body fall? He said her body felt stiff. Did Chad kick her off? Where are the bruises from falling? If she vomited why was there food in her stomach in tact and recognizable ?

Only one worth watching today was Lindsey Blake and her usual efficient and stellar cross of the forensic pathologist from California. The rest of the witnesses were just, meh.
i'd say that pahtologist was pretty strong for the defense. with a strong finish when the procecusion was denied a redirect

It is a matter of the jury determining which witness, determining the manner of death, is more accurate. Personally, I would be inclined to support the opinion of the person(s) performing the autopsy.

Emma spent time with Lori more than once before the children's bodies were found, including going on a vacation together to CA shortly after Tammy's funeral.
She met Lori before Chad was arrested. They went to California as a family trip soon after Tammy died. She said she didn’t know it was a physical affair until long after he was arrested, thought it was emotional affair 🤔

One of the first things an attorney learns in law school is you never address the judge as judge. That is an amateur mistake and nothing will get you on the bad side of a judge quicker than that. You always say at least your honour. You will notice that only recently did prior start saying your honor. He is always just said judge and that is a slap in the face to the judge. He's an absolute mess. An attorney also can never interrupt the judge or the witnesses or the other opposing attorneys. And he does that all the time. So tell me how he's doing such a great job?
