Damn that buff to Shinryuken makes the vacuum effect insanely wide. I always wondered why Ken players don't use it more often compared to VT1. Yes yes i know that VT1 is superior but holy hell does VT2 open up some serious surprise moments that lead to what you just saw. The damage componet and the volume of the V-skill being used make VT2 also a possible TWICE use per round. I think players need to experiment with it more.
Well it's pretty situational and the damage output is not very good for extending combos. You actually usually get more damage off a confirm with v1 and can do the same thing with v1 ex uppercut. V1 does everything v2 does but better and has more stuff
that is as already said ryu's stupid fireball hurtbox , the hurtbox extends way past his body so almost everything can interrump and catch a fireball, similar to dhalsim limbs
Ken use should us more kicking moves rather then using hadokan so much though that may be hard when the ryu is using footsie also when ryu jumps there is a little time period too do a angled attack or air attack
1:13 kenpi could have taken this round with ease bc after the vskill against the wall he only had to do a shoryu into ca cancel (not that hard i pull it off myself)
I wish I could play this game. Stupid console exclusivity. Sounds like Capcom could have definitely used the extra revenue from an Xbox release after all the complaints I hear about the game. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that SF VI will be available for all SF fans, not just PlayStation owners.
Only specials and supers do real chip in the series, in sfv medium and hard normals do grey damage as explained above... Oh and only supers can chip kill in sfv

If ken's vt 2 was cheap capcom wouldn't have given him that option plus all evo players starts to use him and take advantage of that, it's called timing and using it wisely , smart Ryu players wouldn't throw fireballs if they see ken's Vt bar full , instead of calling ken's vt2 cheap, call the opponent an idiot which in my case makes sense here
I'm not so sure it's a flaw; I always thought that Shinryuken was Ken's best defensive punisher. It makes some sense that he would develop a way to increase the radius to draw in and punish a target. Even if the radius was WAY wider than expected.
The options and mix ups available to Ken compared with ryu is too much. I understand capcom didnt want to make the poster boy to sf too strong that everyone just plays him but ryu and even kage (evil ryu) who should both be top tier characters are way off their sf4 versions imo
If you think that all they do is throw fireballs then you obviously have no idea of what they are doing. Also, i would like to see you reach their level by "throwing fireballs" too.
They respect each other's skills and are very careful, they won't jump mindlessly on each other and won't take many risks. High level players play like this.

ikaruga24 I definitely use VT2 strictly cuz it’s a safer bet if timed correctly. But had NO CLUE of its range potential. Now I know.
