I wish they would bring back marshmallow krispies. That was one of my favorites as a kid.
I remember Marshmallow Krispies. I loved it. It only was on the market from 1984 until about 1992 or so.
The new Rice Krispies treat cereal is the same thing except there's a frosted coating on the Krispies and the marshmallows are white
@@Tornado1994 if you want shape marbits just use lucky charms marshmallows and for the cereal use frosted krispies.
That Strawberry version looks awesome. I never thought about South African variants.
***** rice krispies has always been my favorite cereal of all time brother
John Riggs: RIGG'd Games kkl
alec bradley we do now!
JohnRiggs I miss the 2016 snap, crackle and pop 😔😭
Just like a year ago there was a cereal called strawberry krispies it was American one not the South African
2:28 I love the ricicles
Rice crispy is one of my favorite cereals
Quick fun fact for Rice Krispies fans. The cereal was actually the official sponsor for the VHS series known as The Adventures of Timmy the Tooth. I still remember the opening to all of my Timmy the Tooth VHS tapes.
Announcer: *Kellogg's Rice Krispies salutes Snap, Crackle, and Pop. America's most loved trio!*
(Music stops)
Pop: Hey! Pop here! I've got a better idea! Let's skip those other two guys for now, and go to... *The Wonderful World of Pop!* Before I became a handsome spokesperson, my career was all over the map. I was a pilot, world famous painter, a professional athlete, aerobics instructor, deep sea explorer, and quiz show contestant!
Snap: What's a loud way to start your day?
Pop: A Robin with a bullhorn. (Groans like he's saying no)
Crackle: The answer is Kellogg's Rice Krispies. The loud, noisy cereal that puts a snap, crackle, and pop into your complete breakfast.
Robin (into megaphone): *Chirp*
Snap: What's a smart thing to have before school in the morning?
Pop: An excuse not to go?
Crackle: The answer is breakfast with Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal. That great tasting snap, crackle, and pop *WAKES UP YOUR BRAIN!*
Pop: Not that you shouldn't go to school. I mean, you should always go to school.
Snap: How do you get your little brothers or sisters to leave you alone at Breakfast?
Pop: Inflatable PJs!
Crackle: The answer is Kellogg's Rice Krispies. That groovy snap, crackle, and pop will send them into orbit!
Pop: *WHOA!*
Pop: Gee, that was fun, hmm? And now part 2, where I started out as a...
Announcer: Hey! Pop! I have a better idea. And now, Kellogg's Rice Krispies is proud to present, *The Adventures of Timmy the Tooth!*
Hell yeah, that was the best part of the actual video!!
I used to enjoy Rice Krispies back in the '80s. I didn't like it as much as other cereals I ate in the '80s, but I still liked it a lot. One of the coolest things was that snap, crackle, and pop sound when in milk. I have eaten organic crispy rice cereals in recent times, though I don't eat cereal with milk anymore, so I haven't heard if these other cereals made the same sound. Though being basically the same type of rice cereal, I assume they would make the same sound. If not, that would be funny if the snap, crackle, and pop sound is exclusive to Kellogg's Rice Krispies. lol Also, Warriors #10 jersey of Tim Hardaway in the back. Nice, gotta love that killer crossover he had!
Such great trivia. I love almost anything strawberry flavored. I know those strawberry rice krispies were really good.
2021-2022 WHERE ARE THEY?!?!? What happened to them?!?! Just disappeared off the shelves!!!
I used to love frosted rice krispies and fruity marshmallow krispies
If I don’t get cereal + cereal time
I say cuss words and go crazy
Rice crispy treats cereal is amazing! I’m glad it back
sane :3
The cereal itself can be a little boring but nothing stale about the boxes. They really do them nicely especially the older cartoon art.
Did you know that Kellogg's USA headquarters used to do gluten free rice krispies without malt? They discontinued after years, The common version has malt so it's not labeled gluten free. The headquarters in canada practices the GF version though. The AU/NZ headquarters's practice a gluten free product of some cereals, on the other hand unlike the headquarters's within north america, those other 2 headquarters practice a unique crispix recipe made with corn and barley.
Happy National Cereal Day 🥣 from Cereal Time
Rice krispies is 90 YEARS OLD NOW!!!!!
Snap! Crackle! Pop!
I'm from the UK and every supermarket sells Rice Krispies them riceicels are always sold cheaper and most people buy the Rice Krispies over the riceicels in UK always had Kellogg's Rice Krispies for as long as I can remember I eat them growing up every morning I use to complain if my mum got me Riceicels instead of Rice Krispies as they were and still are much more well known over here xD
Watching while eating rice krispies
You might want to consider talking about Apple Cinnamon Rice Krispies. That was a short-lived variant in the mid-90's that had a pretty interesting advertising campaign: the mascot was a Donkey Kong knock-off named Dax who would act as a bodyguard to kids eating the cereal making sure nobody stole it from them.
I remember this cereal, but for some reason I don't remember Dax. Is there a commercial online with him in it?

Snap Crackle Pop Rice Krispies!
here in Brazil we used to have the cocoa version that was called Choko krispies and the mascot was an elephant called Melvin unfortunately kellogs don't make it anymore :(
+tatiana mello We had an elephant on our Cocoa Krispies here for a bit, but they called him Coco the Elephant.
+Cereal Time TV and in the 1970s we had Tusk Tusk on Cocoa krispies before snap crackle pop debuted on the boxes and tony Jr on frosted rice
Lambe botas dos gringos. Vc comia o elefante, depois ele comeu vc!
I remember when Tony the Tiger"s son, Tony Junior, was the mascot for Frosted Rice! It was around 1975.
We always had a box of Rice Krispies in the cabinet. I do not recommend any store-brand version if you’re making Treats. Also use real butter never margarine. Also use brand-name Kraft marshmallows. Then wait for the compliments! Ha ha ha. I have always had cocoa krispies by eating regular kind with chocolate milk poured on it. You can also throw in leftover mini marshmallows (though more chewy than marbits!)
I think I might try my next bowl with Strawberry Nestle Quik!
Where can I obtain one of those awesome cereal bowls?
www.amazon.com/Fred-SPILT-Splash-Cereal-White/dp/B0024FA2OI
Cereal Time TV thank thank you! Just ordered my own bowl! I love your vids! I never outgrew cereal lol. Breakfast lunch or dinner, doesn't matter to me :-)
Cereal Time TV I need one of those bowls too
They are awesome!!!!!!!
Actually Rice Krispies was actually first introduce on July 10, 1927 actually.
good asmr
WOAH! What were Crispix Krispies???
I tried the Vanilla Rice Krispies as a kid and it was good.
we call it rice Krispies Square bars in canada
Super video thanks
I never knew that strawberry version existed, looks good.
I do remember having a blend of vanilla and cocoa krispies as a child though.
***** I imagine that would taste amazing!
I live in Canada and vanilla rice krispies are amazing! We also just got chocolate & vanilla Trix for easter dunno if you got it up there
"I love the smell of vanilla!"
Love your channel
Thanks for watching!
This is a nice video I love your videos cereal time
Rice Krispies was actually created back in 1927.
Fuck I love this channel
WHY did Kellogg's discontinue Apple Cinnamon Rice Krispies??? Man, those things were delish. 😋
Earlier US versions of Cocoa Krispies had Coco the monkey, a pink elephant, Hanna-Barbera's Snagglepuss, another elephant, and Ogg the Caveman on the boxes...before Snap, Crackle, and Pop.
introduced 1928
What ever happened to Kellogg's Rice Crispies spelt with a 'C' and not a 'K' that I remember so well during the 1970's here in the UK?? Rice Krispies spelt with a 'K' during my childhood/teenage years didn't exist for me and just doesn't look right to me now - In my world, it was Crispies spelt with a 'C' 100%! I cannot however find any old advertising footage as evidence that it was how I remember it as, but I know what I remember. I'm interested to see who else only remembers it being spelt Rice Crispies?
When Frosted Rice Krispies first appeared, the branding emphasized the FROSTED part more than the RICE KRISPIES part. The son of Frosted Flakes' Tony the Tiger, Tony Jr., was the first mascot. When Snap, Krackle & Pop took over the brand extension, I liked to imagine Tony Sr. being furious. I saw the various mascots competing in the corporate offices of Kellogg's -- in a branding turf war, with backroom deals, and alliances with board members. In the end, Tony Sr. swears a vendetta against the little elves.
Haha! That's cool, I didn't know that they gave the job to Tony's son.
@@CerealTimeTV
It was then called simply Frosted Rice, but it was the same cereal as what would soon be called Frosted Rice Krispies.

I like your cereal bowl. Where did u get it
www.amazon.com/Fred-SPILT-Splash-Cereal-White/dp/B0024FA2OI
Marshmallow Rice Krispies were good. Post used to have Rice Crinkles.
I love rice krispies but for two months I don't have the same cereal it s so hard and it's not crispy like be for I told the store manager and he said you go on line and tell them I go to the store and I tried a different store it is the same I think some one is not doing the same job as be for please let me know if you had something different to it thank you
1928 was the same year that the first mickey mouse cartoon came out
Plane Crazy (1st made)
And also the mascot is a brown elefant
I've always liked Rice Krispies, I'd have to say I like the Frosted kind the best though. There's only one thing I don't like about the Frosted ones, and it's the small Box they come in. I don't understand why they don't offer them in the bigger Box.
I know that I'd REALLY like to try the Vanilla flavor, I'd never even heard of that kind. I wonder why they just have them in Canada, and not here in the US?
Frosted are probably my favorite version too. But Vanilla were damn good. If you're ever in Canada you need to pick some up!
Have you ever tried the Vanilla? I'm a BIG Vanilla fan, anything Vanilla I love. I've never been much of a Chocolate eater, but I do like White Chocolate..
I NEED to try the strawberry pops :O!!!!!!!
They were SOOOO delicious!
When did Kellogg's start putting RKT in stores?
1993
1995
It launched in September 1993.
Great vid gabe
Gabe did you know in the 50s snap had blonde hair and crackle had brown hair
But in UK they ricicles but it has Rice Krispies in England
Mexico has its own rice krispies is called choco krispis
What about doing a Nintendo video game episode gabe? I'd like to see one love it! Go for it!!
***** you could. I see you doing that. But speaking on the subject of cereal I found this it would be one of the best! peeweesplayhouse.tumblr.com/image/18887563087
I know at one time that cereal was in the works but didn't make the cut for some reason maybe not enough sugar? I know Paul (PW) didn't want it to be a sugury cereal because there's so many then and now. But one can always dream! And as for now this would've been fantastic since his new movie on Netflix PW big holiday is next year in March sales would go thru the roof sky high.
Iove the Nintendo games in your episodes gabe I'm a fan of many games for NES such as super Mario bros castlemania midnight mansion gauntlet bubble bobble
+laura valentina Love me some Bubble Bobble!
Are you going to do a video about frosted rice
+O Chenault I don't have a box of that, so I doubt it.
+Cereal Time TV frosted Rice was the forerunner of Frosted Rice Krispies with Tony Jr as the mascot
In the UK they're called rice krispies ricicles is a different product.
Right. Ricicles were Rice Krispies with added sugar frosting, but they've been discontinued.
3:06
was there Ebola in the strawberry pops?
Pollock Franco did you have ebola when u were born
Strawberry Pops is colored like Pink Panther Flakes almost
It’s cool
Are you using non fat milk in your cereal?
What was the name of the elephant that was the mascot for Cocoa Krispies in the late 70"s? I forget.
His name was Coco too, I believe. And there might have been another elephant named Tusk who replaced him at some point.
Cereal Time TV Thanks again, pal!
Really love Cereal Time!
@@CerealTimeTV Gabe, you GOTTA do a video on "Razzle Dazzle Rice Krispies" from 1997! And Team Cheerios, too!
July 10 1927
Why don’t you like Pow!?
In 1931 singing lady

You're going to do a video on rice krispies treats cereal? Holy crap I can't wait. That shit was amazing when I was a kid. And I just took in that you reshoot your opening for each cereal. Dammit, you need more subscribers.
1:52 coco pops outside of us
Man, I love your videos, but with such a long history, a few more advertisements of Rice Krispies would have been in order. Oh well, Snap, Crackle, Pop!
Yep, I don’t disagree. But this was one of my earlier videos when I was very strict about trying to keep them short. If I made a Rice Krispies video today it would be way longer and more in depth. Oh well. 🤷🏽♂️
why did you say 'thankfully' they could have just used pauw for a one-time cormmecrial
With sugar it taste better
I used to put almost a cup of sugar on these cereal in order to taste something. The most bland cereal I've ever ate.
In 1933
I’m eating Rice Krispies
hello im weird and i am weird
Yo estoy aqui por Werebertomorrow 😅
Ricicles are being cancelled ;(
Oh no, really? That’s terrible news. Are they being replaced by something?
Cereal Time TV We have rice krispies in the UK. For some odd reason Kellogs sold the same cereal as two different brands at the SAME time.
Power is appeared i n 1954
Most generic cereal after corn flakes (in general, not the brands.) Also like Nina I gagged at the sight of the dyed milk because it reminded me of blood for some reason. Damn triggers.
Tara Markov ex junkie?
Will your face snap crackle and/or pop if you crack a smile???
Also, wasn't there a caveman mascot in the early 70"s?
I mean, for Cocoa Krispies.
Ogg the Caveman!
Cereal Time TV Thanks, Gabe!

nope that's not correct. . In the uk we call em rice krispies too...... even if its a different brand name we still call em rice krispies.... but kelloggs are the leading brand over here for them cos no denying they are the best. We have two leading cerial brand names over here.... kelloggs and Nestlé are the biggest cerial names here but there are also many others too.
Cool. We had Coco the monkey on boxes here in the US back in the day.
I almost gagged when he drank his milk that was filled with DYE. . Ok call me a lame hipster health nut, but our bodies were not meant to take in this shitty Diabetes In A Box cereal with gmo and DYE. Getting off my lame soap box now and continuing on with my business. :P Cereal Killers please unite and continue your journey into Frosted Flakes Land. I am no one to judge but OMG that was gross haha. #WhyamIWatching
